What a unique, charming spot near Big Bend park. Zero light pollution here and the sky at night was breathtaking. The entire property is basically a big art project and we enjoyed it immensely. Ingrid was great and went out of her way to help us when our rental car wouldn't start in the morning. This place is special and we wouldn't hesitate to stay again if we were ever in the area. You won't forget it.

Nothing comes to mind. If you are looking for an upscale place to stay with a restaurant, bar and plush bed, this isn't it. (Go to the Gage instead) But if you want something special you'll remember for years, you're at the right spot.

We loved the place. Very unique design both for the house we stayed in and the surrounding houses. It's located with great views of the plains. Super helpful owner.

great vibe- uniqueness

A unique experience. A very artsy setting and the bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept anywhere but my own at home. Ingrid met us in person to show us the space. She was delightful to talk to. If we travel back to Marathon, this will be where we will stay.

About the space, there wasn't anything we didn't like. About the town, not many choices for dinner. Train noise at night.

It's not the typical motel! We really enjoyed the creative experiences that were everywhere around the grounds, from the monolith, bicycle wheel fences, the wind mill and the room.

The place was so unique, the owner was so nice and it had a lot of amenities. I just loved the atmosphere.

We loved the unuiqueness of the building. After all, how often do you get to stay in a small round house? It was very different from a boring hotel! Threewere tons of interesting decorations sprinkled around the inside, which gave it a fun vibe.

The only downside was the toilet area was not very private because it was only behind a shower curtain. However, we knew that ahead of time so it was not unexpected. There are true challenges when constructing in a round house, that's for sure.

Definitely not your usual experience of a hotel or Airbnb. Very unique stay. Hostess is very friendly and helpful. The night sky is amazing - we wish the roof was transparent and we could stargaze while lying in bed :) Enjoyed our stay.

Ingrid was the BEST hostess. This is such a charming comfortable place to lay your head after camping in Big Bend. Highly highly recommend and we will return!

Desolated location , no streets , just dirt , my wife did not care for the place ...

The location is good because it is easy to go from US-385 to Big Bend. Ingrid, the owner, is very nice. The place is very safe because I spend a lot of time outside during the night to see stars, moon, and sunrise. It is so diff from the city (Dallas). The room was beautiful as the pictures. If I go to the Big Bend next time, YES, I will book there again. Very happy to stay there.
