We had a large family group of all ages and found this home to be spacious and comfortable. The decor and updates throughout the house are really beautiful. We celebrated our daughter's 1st birthday there and our family used the trip to say good bye to my husband leaving on deployment. The kids loved hanging out in the crows nest and making s'mores in the back yard. We could walk everywhere we wanted to go. It was a wonderful first trip to Cape Charles.

This house is beyond amazing!! It is walking distance to everything-beach, park, shops, restaurants…Beautiful property with stunning furnishings! Storage with beach chairs, tent, matt, toys and more. Porch rockers and swing, fish pond, fire pit…..everything 😊. Owner is very informative and reachable.

Cape Breeze Retreat was the perfect place for our children and grandchildren. The kitchen/dining area was spacious, well equipped and our favorite place to hang out when not at the beach. Our three and five year olds enjoyed the fish pond! Laura was a wonderful host and very responsive to our questions. Will definitely keep this beautifully decorated home on our list for future visits to Cape Charles.

Our second year staying at Laura's beautiful home for our family vacation. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you would need to cook breakfast and dinner each night as we did for our week long vacation. The rooms are comfortable and the house is so spacious - perfectly suited for multiple or large families! We love the location, it must be the least traveled street in town! I felt very comfortable letting my kids ride their bikes along the sidewalk and it's very close to Central Park for the Saturday evening concert and a short golf cart ride to Main Street and the beach! Laura provided tons of beach items including chairs, umbrellas and beach towels which was great to not have to pack! Check in was a breeze and Laura was always fast to respond to questions before and during our stay. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us Laura!

This was our third summer vacationing at Cape Breeze and it was as lovely as our first and second visits. This gorgeous home offers everything our multi-generational family could want - space to be together in the kitchen and dining, or space to spend time quietly on either the front or back porch, or, spending time enjoying the bench by the pond. We loved having access to a gas grill and also making s'mores at the fire table. It was really nice to take a short walk to the park at the end of the block to play pickle ball on the terrific courts and the kids love the playground. We especially appreciate the responsiveness of the hosts who make this experience so seamless every year.

This was our 6th summer in CC and we just loved it! Laura was wonderful to communicate with and house was loaded and exceeded all of our expectations.

We've now enjoyed three wonderful weeks at this welcoming home, with each visit as pleasant as the last. Hosts Laura and Richard consistently impress us with their kindness and quick responses, enhancing our stays with their attentiveness. The home itself, tastefully renovated, strikes a great balance between modern comfort and historic charm. Of particular note is the kitchen, well-equipped and modern—it's undoubtedly among the best in Cape Charles. We wholeheartedly recommend this home, along with its exceptional hosts. Cape Charles never fails to charm us, making for a perfect location. If you're looking for a delightful stay in a comfortable home within a charming town, this is a great choice.

Our family of seven (five adults and two grandchildren) really enjoyed our time at Cape Charles and LOVED the beautiful Cape Breeze home we stayed in. I think it is one of the few homes that is actually more beautiful in person than it is online. Great kitchen that is more than fully stocked, beautiful back yard with Koi pond and huge pecan tree, great dining space, three bedroom spaces on the second level including a bunk room for at least four kids, and then an adorable top level "crow's nest" that sleeps at least four more. There is a wonderful wrap around porch on the front of the house, which itself is a short walk from both the beach, central park, and downtown area. I have no doubt that when we return to Cape Charles we will stay at Cape Breeze!

Cannot say enough positive things about this home! Comfortable, homey, and beautifully appointed with just about everything you need at your fingertips. Cooking supplies galore, beach towels and chairs, sand toys, etc. Loved the front porch and porch swing! Laura is a wonderful host-great communication. Hope we can visit again

We had a great stay over New Years! The house was so perfect! We literally didn’t need to bring anything other than our bags because it was so well equipped. The house was so roomy and decorated perfectly! Communication with the owners was better than any house we have ever rented. We will def be back!

Such a beautiful home with easy access to the beach, the town and one block from a sweet park. The owners have made it easy to feel right at home as soon as you walk in the door. Looking forward to returning next year!

Let me start off by saying it is difficult to find a house that can accommodate 3 families (6 adults, 6 kids) so you take what you can get when you find it. We waited too long to book so when I say we lucked out when we found this gem I mean it. On top of it all they had a 3rd floor that actually stayed cool which is extremely hard to find. Laura was extremely responsive and so happy to help and answer questions. We definitely would book here again!

This home is as comfortable as you will find! The location is great and the owner was extremely accommodating! A great park and playground are only a couple of blocks away as is the downtown area. Even the beach was an easy walk down a lovely street. Everybody in our family LOVED our time here!!!

This was our first family get together in a few years and Cape Breeze made it so special. Plenty of room, beautifully decorated and included everything we could have needed for our family vacation. Our family’s favorite spot was the front porch! The ultimate compliment was when my Pop asked if he could have the same room next time! Thank you Laura for everything, we take away so many sweet memories and can’t wait to return!

Cape Breeze Retreat was a beautiful and comfortable vacation house that felt like home. Everything that we could think of was provided, so all we had to purchase was food. Every detail, down to plates and cups for kids, were provided. We loved this rental and the town of Cape Charles!

Our college lacrosse team comes back to Cape Charles year after year for an annual girls weekend and THIS house has been our favorite. The porch, the kitchen, the bedroom, bathrooms...just everything was fantastic. We chatted with the neighbors who were also very kind. Owners were easy to contact and super helpful. We loved the beach and riding golf carts around town. If you're looking for a lovely spot to getaway with your friends, THIS is it!

This was our first visit to Cape Charles and Cape Breeze Retreat was the perfect home for our family vacation. It is a beautifully renovated home, with everything that you could possibly need, which nicely accommodated our family group of eight adults and three children. The owners did a fantastic job of redoing this home and paying attention to every detail to make it a perfect get-away place for large families. We would have liked to have spent more time on the welcoming front porch and back yard with outside dining area and fire pit but our week there was very hot, so we spent most of our time inside this air-conditioned home and at the beach. The outside shower is great to have after spending time at the beach. This home is conveniently located just a short golf cart ride away from shops, restaurants, and the beach. The park and playground are close by as well. The neighbors are very nice and welcoming as are many people that we met up with during our visit. Laura is very pleasant to deal with and very quickly responded to any questions that we had, in addition to keeping in touch with us both before and during our stay. Cape Charles beach is perfectly suited for small children, as well as the adults in our group. The water is very calm and shallow and was warm during our visit, which made it perfect for everyone in our group to enjoy. The children could enjoy playing in the water and looking for shells without getting knocked over by waves and the adults enjoyed floating on rafts, as well as relaxing in the calm waters. We all agree that we would like to return another year!
