Overall great experience. Clean unit, as advertised, great location. Easy walk to beach and restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.

This property has the most important amenity necessary for a beach vacation: LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION. It is about 600 steps from the sand. It has both remodeled kitchen and bathroom which gives it an updated feel. It’s not the most luxurious accommodation, but we’ll worth the $$. This was our 2nd year in this building and it has all the necessities. It was very hot during our stay and the floor A/C, located in the kitchen, did the best it could. The ceiling fans in the bedrooms did help bring some cool air in and kep the air moving. If you are looking for a great location in La Jolla Shores you won’t be disappointed.

The property is located close to the beach. The provided beach towels, toys and wagon were an added plus! The unit had everything we needed for our stay even a washer and dryer. The property owner was easy to contact and responsive. We would stay again!

Very tastefully done cottage. Walking to beach and high end restaurants. Still quiet neighborhood. The only irritant was sounds of some kids or adults walking on the upstairs floor.

This property is just steps from the beach and steps from restaurants and shops at La Jolla Shores. As as expected in a popular, busy neighborhood, there is noise outside the window but the location makes it well worth it.

Great location for a San Diego vacation. This property is just a block from the beach and around the corner from shops and restaurants. We did not spend too much time in the condo, however the time we were there was great. It had everything we needed. As others have mentioned...if the unit upstairs is occupied, it can get noisy. There is off-street parking that is difficult to navigate. A large SUV (Tahoe, Suburban, Expedition) will not fit. These were not issues for us however it is info that might be important to others.

This is a great condo in a wonderful location but beware of the parking issues if you have a larger vehicle. We told the host up front that we had a full size SUV and the spot assigned to this particular unit is narrow and under a low clearance roof. There is no way that a full-size SUV can fit in the assigned spot. We were assured by the host that we would be accommodated. In practice, we basically had to negotiate different parking spots with renters of the other units, which happened a few times over our week stay, and it seemed like we were always the lowest on the totem pole, so to speak. Another SUV of the same exact size came two days before our departure and we were told to move our vehicle to the street, which is nearly always fully occupied. It ended up working out because another unit's occupants didn't have a car with them, but this aspect of the stay was frustrating, especially considering that the host assured us accommodation and knew that we had a big SUV. The parking really could be handled better, and I'd have to think this is a common problem for this building. If you drive a sedan or compact car, no worries! If you drive a mid to full size SUV - communicate with the host or look elsewhere.

Had a wonderful time. Loved the location a short walk away from the La Jolla city center but right next to the beach and a few restaurants was perfect!

Clean condo with a great location a couple of blocks from the beach and walking distance to many restaurants and ice cream shops nearby. Parking spot was tight (we had a Passat), but we ended up just backing out to allow passengers in the car. Condo had beach towels and washer/dryer which was very convenient. Overall, great stay!

Great place

We are from San Diego and wanted a staycation for my husbands birthday. This Place was perfect!! This cozy, comfy, quiet condo is seriously just steps from the beach as well as a small strip of tiny shops and eateries, so you can walk to everything very easily. There is a great pizza place right across the street. The manager was very easy to reach and quick to respond with my questions. Just a heads up that the parking is a bit tight so in the carport area so it is best to have a smaller car for easier mobility and fit. Wouldn’t want to go bigger than our Nissan Rogue. I loved it here and would definitely stay here again!!

Great location!!! Close to beach, shops and restaurants. While not much of a view, a very useful place to stay. Really, only bring a compact car. Parking was more difficult when construction took place.

Great place....

The listing shows a parking space but when you receive your check in info you are told it’s a compact car space which did not work at all for us. Due to road construction those spaces weren’t even accessible during the day. Walls are paper thin and it’s very noisy. We paid the required pet fee at the time of booking only later to receive a message saying we had a dog and asking how we wanted to pay a larger pet fee. I replied that I had paid the fee and felt I deserved a refund on the parking. Only to receive a reply saying “please disregard the message”! Very disappointing!

Nice place, great location!

Just wrapped up a wonderful week with my wife and two daughters. We really enjoyed our stay here. The condo was walking distance to the beach, surf shops, and restaurants. It was just as described. Very clean and modern, and well furnished. We walked to the beach daily. Only took the car out once our whole trip to head over to the grocery store a mile and half away. Property manager was responsive to questions ahead of trip and during our stay. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in La Jolla. We'll definitely be back.

This condo was perfect for my husband and me; Nicely updated and comfortable. There would have been room for a couple of kids too, but this was an anniversary trip so we left them at home. :-) Two small things for future renters: it's essential to have off-street parking, but the carport is a tight squeeze--a compact car will save you time and trouble. We also wished there was a Netflix or Hulu setting on the TV--without it the channel choices were thin. But the location was perfect, just a block from the LaJolla Shores Beach and park, and we liked the little patio. Several good restaurants literally across the street. The best sea kayak adventure place is just up the block: Sea Cave Kayak (say hi to Michael and Cyril) and we were10 minutes from Torrey Pines--an amazing place for hiking or hitting the beach. Twenty minutes north is Del Mar Beach--also very nice. Twenty minutes south, don't miss Balboa Park --and allow at least a day to explore a few museums and take in the beautiful gardens and San Diego Zoo. Downtown (?) LaJolla is a 5-minute drive if you like high-end shopping and restaurants, including George's at the Cove, which offers beautiful ocean sunset views. For a hidden gem, walk up Torrey Pines Road a quarter-mile toward LaJolla and check out the Coast Walk--a quiet place to watch the seals, pelicans, cormorants and swimmers in the cove below. Beautiful place, great trip!

Great location. Just two blocks from the beach. This was our second stay at this property and would definitely stay here again.

This unit was walking distance to all the top restaurants and the beach. Take note, that August is warm in La Jolla and the bedrooms do not have AC. It was still nice once the breeze came through late at night.

Great time as family of four in this apartment. It's very close to the beach, shops, food, etc. Had everything we needed including beach chairs and body boards.

Our second stay at this well located property near La Jolla shores beach and restaurants on Avenida de la Playa. Larger downstairs unit worked fairly well for family. Bargain for the location.

I highly recommend this place in La Jolla shores. My family of 4 (kids are 17 & 19) stayed here for a 6 day vacay in early June 2019. The house is perfectly located a block from the beach and across the street from a cute little strip of restaurants, beachy shops and a small grocery/convenient store. There was also a larger grocery store within a short drive where we bought food to cook breakfast at the house. The house is exactly as pictured and was clean and comfortable. Communication with Laden was great. We saw her once when we arrived but everything was great at the house so we didn’t need anything from her during our stay. The small patio was nice to sit at as we regrouped between outings. Having a washer and dryer allowed us to pack lighter and come home with mostly clean clothes. This is a relatively quiet neighborhood with a surfer/beachy vibe. while it is touristy, it’s not nearly as crowded as other areas we saw, which we really enjoyed. Restaurants were relatively easy to get into without long waits. I highly recommend trying some of the restaurants within walking distance. We ate at Shorehouse Kitchen, Piatti, and Osteria which are all within 2 blocks of the house and were among the best food we ate in San Diego. The beach is clean and has soft light sand. At night there are fire pits and it’s a wonderful place to watch a sunset. We went kayaking with one of the shops just a block from the house which we would recommend to others. Seeing sea lions up close was fun. There is a public shower/restroom close to the beach. We felt very safe in this area, even walking through the neighborhood in the early mornings and evenings. Homes nearby are nice and it feels like a safe place. Thank you Laden. We hope to be back!

Very nice condo just a block from the beach. I would stay there again. There was no iron, but they brought one over, which was nice.

What a wonderful place to spend time as a family. The apartment was in a great location, just a couple minute walk to the beach and literally half a block from some very tasty restaurants. The apartment was nicely furnished with a great kitchen and comfortable living area. We picked up some groceries upon arrival and did most of our own breakfasts and lunches. Being so close to the beach was nice as we were able to bounce back and forth for time on the beach and back for lunch. We will definitely be back in the future.

This is a 3.5 star review. Pros: close proximity to the beach and restaurants. Relatively clean and plenty of room for four people. Great access to area activities such as zoo, sea world, and safari park Cons: the bedroom walls are thin and you could hear neighbors walking upstairs which woke us up. The bedroom fan remote controls did not have batteries, we could not leave the fans on at night. Shower curtain was dirty and smelled. Requested a rollaway bed for one night, which happened to be broken. A few bits and pieces in the Apt needs a general maintenance.
