The location was perfect!!!

The parking was a nightmare! No pass was left for us. We weren't guaranteed a spot like it said. Also a bathing suit was left by the previous renter I assume. When I tried communicating to get help with parking all I got was a text repeating the parking directions. I'm not sure I ever texted with a real person.

parking was a nightmare. the open deck overlooking the water is great, but it’s not divided by unit. so people from other units were in front of out slider partying loudly into the night. Also I didn’t feel safe. sliders are easily opened. no deadbolt or stick to put in slider. We did not have a restful vacation.

The location is nice. It overlooks the Kalamazoo River and views he downtown waterfront of Saugatuck and is a very short drive to downtown. You can take a short walk to Mt. Baldhead (2-3 minutes) and from there climb 300+ stair steps to the top. From the top you can walk down the sand dune to Oval Beach. Also, you are minutes away from dozens of very good restaurants in Saugatuck or Douglas.

Our stay was mid-Septemper and the weather was unseasonably warm (mid 80's). The A/C-Heating unit is inches from the very comfortable king bed; the forced air hits those on the bed directly, causing us to awaken during the night. To mitigate the issue we cooled the room down significantly (67* - 68*), shut the unit off for the night and increased the speed of the ceiling fan - this worked great.

Unit was clean and cozy and great view of downtown and the water.

When we explored the bottom deck, it looked like the bottom levels had experienced flooding. While we were above that, it was obvious property damage. Parking -thank goodness we stayed off season in October. I could see where parking might have been tricky.

Check in instructions very confusing.. in instructions we were told to show drivers license and sign agreement. Also parking instructions left in room so not clear when we arrived of where to park to unload. Sliding door leading to deck on water side broken

Location along the water was very nice.

The directions were confusing as the name on the property does not match the name on the listing. A different property across the street is the same name.

The deck was very nice for early am coffee and late night wine . We would have been able to use the ferry but due to arriving after Labor Day, it was not running. We did have Taxi service, but make sure and call early.

When we were boating, we noticed the entire lower level was under water / flooded. We did notice it to be damp and our towels had a hard time drying ... Everything shuts down after Labor Day. Stores are sometimes not open or have odd hours. Not all of the restaurants are open, so call ahead.
