This was our first time staying in a VRBO. This property was absolutely amazing! We will be back.

My husband and I just spent a week at The Casita, and words will not do it justice. My husband travels extensively throughout the year so our personal downtime is absolutely precious to us. We average about 6-8 rentals annually, with a week at each stay. With that said, we've developed a discerning eye and a list of criteria needed for us to fully unplug and recharge for the next quarter. The Casita easily became one of our very favorites! So much that we just squeezed in a shorter stay for the following month 😊 Everything from the drive to the location, the vicinity to local shopping, restaurants, wineries, and hiking trails is ideal. The communications with Kirsten, the Estate Manager; and George & Birgit, the Owners was cohesive and immediate. The love and care the Owners brought into this property is palatable. It’s one thing to have a view, it’s a whole other level to feel the energy of Kindness and Grace. Thank you to the Klaus Team for a memorable stay. We look forward to seeing you next month.

This Casita is a must stay. Great little house with all you need to enjoy a relaxing getaway. Bed and linens were very comfortable and the kitchen was well appointed. Best part by far was the living room / patio with views out to the lake. Truly a fantastic spot to sit with a nice bottle of wine and enjoy the view. George and his caretakers were very friendly with good communication.

100% worth it! Will be back!

I can't properly put into words how amazing this rental was. We celebrated our honeymoon here and it was amazing. We were SO sad to leave. From sunrise in the vineyards, to sunsets over the reservoir each day. The remoteness and style was everything you would want from an Italian countryside! If you are even considering this rental book it, I promise you will not be disappointed.

We had such a wonderful stay at this property. We were blown away by the location, and the casita is beautiful and spacious and had everything we needed. The views are stunning and we loved sitting in the outdoor space to take it all in. It was great to spend time in the pool and nice to be able to grill and eat outdoors. We enjoyed interacting with the caretaker of the property, who gave helpful suggestions for local things to do. We also liked exploring the nearby towns and really enjoyed the location. We will be back!

We were so pleased to return to this property and, without doubt, will return in the not-too-distant future. The location is peaceful and the views of the lake are wonderful, not to mention the gorgeous sunsets. We also loved being able to do our laps in the pool. Thank you for sharing your world! C&C

We choose this place because it was between Angles Camp and Murphys. Very nice place with great view of New Melones Reservoir. Long drive out on private one lane road. Manager extended pool hours and we had a refreshing swim after very hot day. We would stay here again.

Incredible views and beautiful home

We enjoyed our stay at the Casita. Perfect for three friends (one on the sofa bed). The views of the lake and vineyard, refreshing pool and friendly property manager, Bruce, all made our stay a perfect getaway. Buck, the dog was a bonus, we enjoyed visiting with him! Would highly recommend.

My second time staying here this year! This time I shared this place with my childhood friend. We loved sitting and taking in all the views for hours! Just what I wanted!

My husband and I were looking to visit some place that we both had never been before. I am typically a planner, but this was more of a spur of the moment trip. With knowing little about the surrounding area, we just liked the look of the casita and booked the property and figured the rest out as we went along! I am so glad that we did because this ended up being one of our most memorable vacations yet. We are from Florida, so getting to see many of the sites that we did was a big check off the bucket list. We stayed for one week and got to visit Calaveras Big Trees National Park (amazing), Natural Bridges hike to the cave that you can tube through the water, Yosemite, and Lake Tahoe-all of which were spectacular! We loved coming home to the comfort (and views) of the Casita each evening after a day of exploring. We loved getting to see and visit all the old Gold towns-my favorite being Columbia and Murphys. The views from the Casita were the best of any rental that I have ever had before-from the rolling hills, the lake, the nature and wildlife and the vineyards-just magical. We had a nice mixture of exploring, relaxing, spending quality time and enjoying the beauty and nature surrounding us as well as eating some great food at the local restaurants. We had a fabulous time and so many special memories to take with us~so glad that we found this hidden gem!

My wife and I needed an escape to the Sierra foothills for some R&R. La Compania Dulce was the perfect solution. There is 360 degrees of amazing views from this lovely one bedroom home. All of the amenities were available for dinner in or a bbq on the veranda. We were lucky for three incredible days overlooking the New Melones Lake. We woke to birds singing and turkeys calling. An overall great experience that we will surely return to again.

Private vineyard with awesome views of New Malones lake. Just wish we had a longer stay. Bruce the property manager made us feel very welcome, and the doggies were sweet and adorable. Bring some hiking boots if you want to go exploring.

My fiancé and I needed a weekend getaway and this place was perfect! Secluded, yet close enough to towns and things to do. The property is up on a hill overlooking vineyards on one side and the lake on the other. Needless to say, the views are amazing! The casita has everything you may need and if you’re lucky, you’ll get a visit or two from the property dogs, Buck & Ruby. Bruce, the estate manager, is friendly and helpful too! We even managed to squeeze in a trip to a recommended massage therapist (Maura) on our last day. Great location! We’d love to go back some time :)
