The staff is really nice, they offer you anything they can provide, the guest card is a plus, then the discount price in the Chamonix Pass and many stores have discount with them too, the breakfast it's OK.

The rooms doesn't have enough electric plugs. You should try avoiding getting showered early morning because the showers will take some extra time to warm up... In the afternoon the water is warm enough.

I loved my stay here! The staff were happy to help, and the ski lift passes were such great value. Free breakfast was nice too. Very stunning hostel just out of the city centre, easily accessible by bus.

Only one charging port in the hostel which made things tricky- but specified when booking the accomodation

We had food at the bar. A pizza. Both my friend and I had food poisoning from eating it. Pretty much ruined the stay. Staff didn’t accommodate us either.

The staff were very informative. Location is great. Loved the simple generous breakfast. The best part is the discounted Aiguille du midi ticket.

What’s there not to like

The location is amazing—right under the mountains. Very helpful and friendly staff. Rooms in the summer were warm but clean and quiet. Breakfast was simple but delicious. Dinner was excellent. Well worth the price. When I come back to chamonix I will stay here again.

The youth hostel was located at only a few minutes drive from Chamonix. Up front, we received a lot of usefull info through the booking chat by the receptionist, Mathilde. She informed us about what to do (Mer de Glace & Aiguille du Midi) & that we could buy Mont Blanc MultiPasses at the hostel itself to enter all the cable cars for only 26,5€ per day. We arrived at 11:55 and the reception was normally only open until 12:00. Nevertheles the receptionist took the time to sell us the cable car tickets, to explain us where to go and when & where the breakfast/dinner was served. The room itself was rather small, but tidy. There were two seperate beds, a shower and a lavabo. We took dinner in the hostel once, which was enjoyable. Also the breakfast was ok: enough choice and decent quality. In the entrance hall were some suggestions written about restaurants, café's, ... in Chamonix city centre.

The room itself had a shower but not a toilet. The shower in the room didn't have a hanger: we had to hold it up ourselves. Therefore we showered in the mutual showers. There was no shower gel or soap.

It has everything you need as a solo traveler. I really liked breakfast and the personal staff are always charming with you. Plus they could provide you a cable car card with a cheap fare for a round trip.

It has a nice homey feel to it as opposed to some of the bigger chain hostels that feel sterile. The community dinners were a nice touch.

Mold in different places, place was a long hike away from the town center but bus service makes up for it.

I was informed by the hostel in advance, but it is inconvenient that there is only one outlet in the room. This may apply only to my room, but the card key is not working well, and it is difficult to unlock the room. Even after telling the reception and exchanging the key, it was not improved.

it was a little surprise that our twin room had to toilet, although had a shower and a sink. a bit uncomfortable.

It was an amazing experience. Really liked the facilities, the bed was also very comfortable. You also get a big discount for the several attractions in Chamonix. I highly recommend this hostel!

They have a very good deal on lift tickets, I got a complete day pass (including Aiguille du Midi) for 30 Eur, which is a superb offer and completely absorbs any cons of staying here. :) The location is quite remote (very good if you're aiming for the La Jonction hike), but there's a bus every 30 min, fast and convenient. A good grocery store like 10 min walk away. Possibility to lock your bags in 1 Eur lockers located in the ski room. A large relax area and bar for the evening beer after mountain. Nice and quite in low season, probably can get tight in high season.

The rooms are small, if there were actually 4 people with some outdoor/sports gear, and some clothing to dry, it would be a problem. Also only 1 socket per room. The breakfast was poor, basically cereal, bread, cheese, so if you're staying more than 1-2 nights, you could want something more. By adding only a couple more items it would be ok, so maybe they'll upgrade.

My heater was turning off by itself all the time, so it was cold sometimes. The sink was making weird noises because of the water going down from different rooms which was disturbing especially during the sleep.
