I landed here by mistake thought I booked somewhere in Kirby Stephens. Was a great mistake though. Very friendly & very warm welcoming. Nothing was to much trouble. Rooms very clean & tidy. Full English breakfast was exceptional. Definitely would come back.

Location is excellent for Fremington Edge and the surrounding moors. Hotel is a fabulous old building with lots of charm. Very clean and the staff are welcoming and very helpful. Breakfast is superb and meals in the restaurant or bar/lounge are fantastic and great value for money. Good bike storage too!
Pillows were a bit large and firm for me, but I coped!

Welcoming and friendly staff, rooms clean and comfortable. Excellent location. Food (dinner and breakfast) was very good.
The pillows were a little firm for my liking.

The views were amazing, it's in an ideal location, staff were friendly and helpful and the food was very good.
The only fault I could find was that I was too warm in the night.

This place has loads of character, staffed by friendly, helpful people. The entire building is quirky, in a very fun way. Our room was a good size, with comfortable beds. The bathroom was small, but perfectly adequate. We enjoyed an excellent dinner and breakfast was very good. I would be happy to stay again.
It was a shame I could only stay one night.

The Black Bull Hotel overlooks the village green in beautiful Reeth. It is an old building with quirky corridors and stairways. The room was very quiet, probably due to the very thick walls of the building. Real ale at the bar and excellent food, both evening meal and breakfast.

The fire places and beer where a treat!
Lovely pub cannot fault anything and friendly landlord. Ceilings were low but the pub is very old with a lot of charm and we are very tall?

Beautiful hotel and pub. Really cosy and full of character. I loved the fact that myself and my dog Brian were made to feel really welcome and looked after. Also, food was fabulous. The rhubarb crumble was just what i needed that night!
Nothing to report. All good.

The cobbles in front, though charming and historic were to be treated with caution on foot or bike!

the location
we understand it’s an old property and creaks- but we didn’t sleep because someone was walking above us all night- causing noise and continual creaking

Loved the atmosphere and open fires, very cosy.

A fantastic pub and hotel in a gorgeous location. Good food at the pub for dinner, plus a range of excellent local beers on tap, and a fantastic atmosphere in the bar, with crackling fires and an olde-worlde vibe. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. The en-suite was also great, with one of the best showers I've used in a hotel for a while! Breakfast was also superb, with a selection of cereals, yoghurts, etc., plus a range of cooked options. The full English got the day off to a great start.
Nothing to complain about at all :)

Lovely original bar area with 2 open fires. Toasty. Good selection of beers, good food. Warm rooms and comfy beds. Good breakfast. Great price, what's not to like.
