Sehr sehr nettes Personal, vor allem auch am Empfang. Anfragen in Deutsch/ franz werden umgehend und speditiv beantwortet. Lage perfekt! Parkplatz kein Problem. Küche(abends) hätte ich gerne getestet- Fotos der menus sahen hervorragend aus. Tipp für Abendessen im Hotel: sofort zusammen mit Zimmerreservation tätigen, die Plätze sind vmtl. schnell ausgebucht. Kaffee top, zusätzliches für Frühstück(Omelette, Eier…)ist bestellbar, ist aber wiederum wieder stressiger für Service& Küche. Serviert wird aber rel. schnell was ich gemerkt habe…

Unser Zimmer war etwas klein, wir warn unterm Schrägdach- nicht sehr praktisch für grosse Leute. Bett sehr bequem, mit vielen Kissen! Das neue Frühstückskonzept(gegenüber dem Vorgänger) funktioniert von mir ausgesehen nicht so gut. Es ist wie ein Bücherregal konzipiert, wo man sich Essen holen kann, die Gäste standen sich etwas auf den Füssen rum… Brot(kleine Aufback-Brötchen, etwas zu lange gebacken und dadurch trocken) sowie auch Käse hätte ich mir grössere Auswahl gewünscht. Frisches Brot vom Beck gerne zum selberschneiden…

Sehr nettes Personal. Sehr schönes Hotel. Großer Parkplatz unmittelbar am Hotel (gebührenpflichtig, Tageskarte für Freiburg erhältlich im Hotel ) Gutes Frühstück.

Das Zimmer hat Fenster zur Feuerflucht des Nachbarhauses, d.h. man schaut direkt auf die Wand. Die Bewohner des Nachbarhauses sind Raucher und nutzen diese Flucht als Weg und schauen dann direkt ins Zimmer. Kann das Hotel nix für. Es gibt aber Zimmer im zweiten Stock und anderer Ausrichtung.

We had a great stay! We were travelling with our dog and the hotel provided a dog bed and bowl which was a really nice touch.

TV not working properly

Great hotel, great staff, great location. I was in the biggest room in the ceiling of the hotel, the room and restroom - recently renovated - were awesome. It's not super close to the main action in the city but the bus station is right in front of the hotel and the bus gets you to the train station in 10 min. Or the stairs if you feel in shape. Try the funiculaire at least once. Very close to the public pool which was great during the summer heat wave. There are a few dinner options around for any budget.

No AC or efficient ventilation system in the room which was really not great during a heat wave and when your room is in the ceiling of the hotel... It was 38 degrees in the room during the day and i could barely make it go down to 28 at night even when keeping the windows open for hours. They had an old standing ventilator in the room but obviously not powerful enough to make any real difference so i couldn't really sleep for a week. I complained every day about it but they explained that because it's a heritage building they never could open the walls to install an efficient system. After a few days they offered a different room but i didn't feel like packing all of my stuff again just to save maybe 2-3 degrees. I suggested that they open the windows at least for a few hours in the stairwell at night to make the general temperature of the hotel drop but they never tried while i was there. I understand their issue but i think they will need to adapt some way sometimes soon because summers are just going to get warmer in the future... Standing AC units in the rooms maybe...? For the price of the room, i would have appreciated at least a little discount or a free dinner at the restaurant or something to compensate for the discomfort. It was the only thing that i didn't like about the place though, everything else was really great!

Great location, very clean, fantastic friendly staff, lovely breakfast and well appointed rooms - very modern and quirky. The room fan was perfect!

The bells… I know it’s not the hotels fault but if your a light sleeper then the constant church bells outside are very annoying!

Nice location close to downtown and walking/hiking trails. Very friendly and helpful staff - in particular, I wanted to thank Alexandra for patiently answering all the questions, giving recommendations for walks and places to eat, helping with issues in the room, and making some special arrangements on the last day of our stay. I would also like to thank Antoine for his kind attention and rememering which guest I was and what I needed.

Unfortunately, the room itself was not what I expected. It was adjacent to the restaurant's terrace and faced the street, and was therefore quite loud late at night and early in the morning. The room's cleanliness was also not up to four-star standards. Overall, however, a pleasant stay in Fribourg.

The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was amazing. They went over and beyond to help make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting.

Way way too hot. No AC Obviously it was way too complicated to retrofit but we would never stay again during the hot months. The rest of the year it would be perfect.
