This is the 25th year for our Family of 5 (now 13) staying at Sunset during Labor Day. The weather was perfect!!!!! The location was ideal! Plenty of parking. Kitchen supplies were great for all of us. Thank you for your hospitality. We will hopefully return next Labor Day.

My extended family and I rented this house for a week-long vacation, and it was great! The location speaks for itself. The house was really great and comfortable for our 5 adults and 2 kids. Our favorite things were each bedroom had its own bathroom, and the 4 porches! There were plenty of places for us to all be together, or split off and have some quiet space to ourselves. We would rent again. Kristie was a great host!

Absolutely loved our stay at this property. We've been coming to sunset beach for 12 summers now, and this was by far the cleanest home we have stayed in. Our family & family friends stayed for the week & truly loved this home. The canal and dock were peaceful and relaxing, we loved the hammock on the bottom level that overlooked the water. The beach was a short walk away and the house was stocked with a beach wagon, extra chairs, etc. Owner communicated very quickly and efficiently. Would def. recommend staying here. Do bring your own TP, paper towels, beach towels, and if you're picky about your sheets, the rental ones aren't the best ;) and the kayaks aren't included in the home rental. But the kitchen is stocked with anything you will need, the couch is super comfortable & outdoor spaces are plenty!

Nice home. Well stocked. Kids and son-in-law enjoyed the dock / canal. The bikes were great. Easy walk to the beach. It was very nice sitting out on the decks in the evening. Nice vacation.

My extended family had a fantastic week in Sunset Beach. This was our first time visiting and we imagined owning a property here by the end of our stay. We had reserved 2 kayaks and a paddle board that were delivered before we arrived. Being right on the channel was the highlight of our stay. We enjoyed morning and evening kayaking right from the dock, so quiet and peaceful. Our favorite place during the midday sun was sitting under the house in the breezeway, the most amazing breeze with water view. We played corn hole under there as well. The beach was a doable walk and Sunset beach never felt crowed. The ocean temperature was so warm the first week of July, a huge perk as we are use to cold, crowed NJ beaches. The teens and men enjoyed evening surf fishing and several stingrays were caught, very cool. Be sure to bring toilet paper, 11 people welcomed after a 12 hr drive with one roll on the counter and all 5 bathrooms had none. Bring wash clothes, only 1 per person which required us to do daily laundry. Also need: trash bags, paper towels, dish and hand soap, dishwasher tabs, sponge. Sunset Beach is primarily residential so eating out and groceries require a 10-15 minute drive. We never minded that since it keeps the island very quiet and not busy. There were no crowds, and the few people you encounter are extremely nice. We will certainly be returning and would definitely rent this house again as it accommodated our group of 11 perfectly and is great location!

Great location in enchanted Sunset Beach NC with wonderful choices of screened and unscreened porches. Fun canal access but must provide own kayaks. Kitchen is very amply stocked for cooking. We cooked all of our meals so this was a huge plus. Some of the bathrooms were lacking toilet paper and all were lacking soap. Kitchen was not supplied with dish soap, dishwasher detergent or paper towels so you will need to bring those things. The floor was not clean as evidenced by our 2 year olds feet being black after running barefoot in the house. This I would blame on housekeeping. Hubby is tall and had a hard time finding a comfortable chair. All in all we had a wonderful stay here and would return.

We had an amazing week stay in Sunset at The Sandbunker! The property was perfect for our two families. We loved the location on the canal and short walk to the beach each day. The house was beautiful and the porches at night were our favorite! The owners communicated with us throughout the week as we had questions. We hope to stay again next year!

This property is a bit of walk to the beach if you have small children but the house was nice.

Gorgeous views, natural sunlight and comfy sleeping areas all await you in this grand vacation property. We could not have been happier with our experience. Owner helpful and great to work with. Beach a block away and scenic walks in the neighborhood all offer excellent walking experience. Don’t let this properly slip by you book now for an incredible vacation experience!

We had a great stay! The house was clean and very well laid out with lots of porches for sitting and fishing off the dock. It was a close walk to the beach. Would definitely go back!

We stayed for a weekend for Labor Day and found the house very well stocked, clean, and conveniently located near the beach. We did not use the dock, but did use all the rooms and really liked that they all had their own bathrooms and TVs. We enjoyed using the bikes that came with the house but they were not a fav with our teenage sons. Overall we had a wonderful time at the Sandbunker.
