A great pub with comfy accommodation at a good price. Blinding breakfast too. Lovely staff/owners.

Food was so-so. Plated breakfast had to be ordered the previous evening and was charged on a per item basis - e.g. coffee was separately charged and seemed to be per cup (although we did not ask for refills), toast was on each diner's plate, already buttered etc.

More flexibility on breakfast. If we had not needed to eat we would have not chosen the breakfast arrangement provided. Dinner was OK, but not great - a disappointment as we had read really good reviews on the food which led us to choose this venue over others nearby.

Overall a disapointment. Room was small, and lacked many items you would consider standard. No Wi-Fi, No hair dryer, no iron, no welcome pack etc. Stayed for a few days but the waste bin was never emptied, the shower had a body wash but no shampoo, toilet paper cheapest available, it just left an impression that no one realy cared if you enjoyed your stay.

Choice and quality of evening meal, area very quiet, room was sufficient for our needs.

We read other reviews which said it was fabulous, we felt also it was a great place to stay.

The food was amazing and the owners/ staff were very friendly and helpful, especially when our train was delayed. We were involved in a RTA on our last full day but we were well looked after and extra outside lights were left on for us. They definately went above and beyond for us while we visited our son

my wife was very impressed with how the room had been set out for a female user ie lights, mirrors, plug sockets, and somewhere to sit and get ready!! as for me shower, tv, bed, perfect!! 😆

felt like room hadn’t been dusted of the masses of cobwebs beforehand. no fresh drinking water, just an empty bottle next to the kettle. towels seemed to malt upon touch when wet.
