I booked a four-day stay at this property for my family and me, looking forward to a relaxing getaway after a four-hour drive. However, when we arrived, I was shocked and disappointed by the condition of the place. The outside area was filthy, with trash and other waste scattered around, making it unwelcoming right from the start. Once we got inside, things only got worse. The house was filled with dust, cobwebs, and even spiders in multiple corners. It was clear that the property had not been cleaned or maintained in quite some time, making it completely unsuitable for anyone to stay in—let alone a family with small children like mine. Given the state of the property, I felt it was unsafe and unsanitary for my kids to stay there. We decided to leave the very next morning, cutting our trip short because I couldn’t justify staying under such poor conditions. I contacted the agent immediately, explaining the situation in detail and providing multiple photos as evidence. I also made it clear that if I had known the property was in this condition, I would never have booked it in the first place. However, instead of addressing the issue, the agent dismissed my concerns entirely, stating that there was "nothing wrong" with the property, despite the evidence I sent. This response is extremely frustrating and disappointing, considering I went through the effort to document everything and raise the issue professionally. I expected better service and accountability, especially when it comes to a place that’s supposed to be safe and comfortable for families. This experience has not only ruined our trip but has also made me wary of trusting listings like this in the future. I believe I am entitled to a refund, given that the property was clearly misrepresented and not up to any reasonable standard for cleanliness or safety.

The place was not clean at all. The kitchen items were all filthy, before we used anything we had to wash it. The bathroom was clean in some places and not others. The whole place needs a deep clean (or just any clean). There was also dog poo all over the backyard…

Great size and great location.

Windows looked like they had never been washed. House had a terrible musty Smell when we arrived. No wood for the fire. Only 4 drinking glasses no wine glasses, just champagne glasses. We wouldnt stay again due to the backyard not been fully sercured for the dogs. Along the side of the house it was just a roughly 1.2m wire fence. To me that's not fully sercured as it was just flimsy mesh. One of our smaller dogs was able to get its head through. There are no photos online showing the side fence so I enquired regarding it and was ensured by the property manager that it was solid dog fenced side area. This type of fence would be fine for dogs that won't escape or are to old to jump but unfortunately for us it wasnt. If I had known this of of there were pictures online showing it I wouldn't of booked it.

Everything was thought of here. Two living areas (upstairs and downstairs), great views from the balcony and upstairs living area. BBQ and a pizza oven. Well stocked pantry for incidentals (salt, pepper, etc). Would definitely stay again

Location was perfect for walking to the beach and surfing. Size of house and layout was great for 2 families. We would definitely stay here again IF we knew it was cleaned properly.

Very disappointed with the cleanliness, we chose this house as it was meant to be covid cleaned. Every kitchen cupboard and drawer were dirty along with dirty appliances. Glass sliding doors had hand prints inside and out. Upon opening all the blinds, window ledges were covered in dead insects which is understandable when a house is untenanted for a period of time but you would think an inspection would occur before arrival of guests. Dining table and chairs were dirty with food spillages. There was sand on the couches and bed, as well as 2 dirty doona covers. All window tracks had mould as well as a bedroom cupboard. Used soap bars left in bathroom cupboards. Both upstairs and downstairs reverse cycle airconditioners were covered in dust and the filters were full and needed cleaning. There was no way you'd turn them on for hygiene reasons. (The downstairs airconditioner was cleaned the following day on ringing the host but the upstairs one wasn't). The BBQ grill was left dirty and some outdoor chairs need replacing as threadbare and unsafe. Two queen beds downstairs need replacing as were soft and sagging. The list is endless. We rang the hosts on arrival and they sent over a cleaner (whilst we waited outside) who spent an hour trying to get it up to scratch, but would have needed many more hours to do so. We then spent another 2 hours cleaning. Not a good start to our short getaway.
