We had a lovely stay at this house on Lake Anna. The place was equipped with everything we could possibly need. The host made available a kayak and canoe as part of the rental, which we used several times. They were connected to wheels, and it was a very short walk down to the lake.
Loved waking up every morning to this beautiful yard and lake view with a cup of coffee. It is every bit as beautiful as the pictures.
We used the fire pit one night and made s’mores. The kids (18 year olds) used the pool in the common area, and had it all to themselves.
We brought our dog, and he had a great time too. Many of the restaurants have outdoor seating so we were able to take the dog with us. There’s a Food Lion only 10 minutes away.
We would definitely stay here again.

We were a little skeptical regarding the number of people we had (7 adults and a dog) to the size of the house, We weren’t sure if we would have enough room. Boy were we wrong! We had plenty of room to lounge and not trip over each other. Kitchen is stocked with your essentials, but bring your own spices.
The beds were soft and comfortable. Water pressure is good too! They have well water that is filtered, and it doesn’t taste bad, which was nice because we drink a lot of water.
We used the Kayak and the Canoes just about every day- short walk down to the lake. We had access to the community pool and tennis courts, but did not need or want to use it, we were happy by the lake.
This house is definitely dog friendly. The yard was nice and our dog was more relaxed here than at home. She enjoyed it as much as we did.
There is a grocery store ( Food Lion) and a Dollar General a very short distance from the house. Made it very easy to go to on a daily to get food for dinner.
The one thing we were not aware of is the lake is warm, like bath water. Apparently the local plant uses the lake to cool the reactors. Did not bother us AT ALL, still was nice to get in and be refreshed.
There are things to do within a short drive. Most things are within 15 minutes (Jet Skis, Horseback riding, restaurants, Winery). Ping pong, corn hole and ram can along with other games & puzzles at the house.

We had a wonderful family vacation at Lake Anna. This was our first time here. The pictures of the house and location don’t do it justice. The house is located in a nice friendly neighborhood. The house is cozy and very nice. It had everything we needed. We especially liked the proximity to the lake and being able to use the kayak. We hope to come back in the future. The owners were very responsive with our needs/ questions.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house was incredible and the area picturesque. The owner was nice and answered our questions about local landmarks and potential activities. A map of the immediate area is only thing that would have made the trip even better (it took us a long bike ride to find the pool and tennis courts). Certainly one of the most relaxing vacations we’ve ever taken. Thank you!

We spent a wonderful weekend away at Ken’s lake house. We booked this just a week in advance so we could get away for Mothers Day weekend. The house was possibly the cleanest place that we’ve rented. We didn’t see any bugs or dog hair inside, even though it’s dog friendly and on the lake. It was a very short walk across a road, that’s barely used, to a playground and small beach, which was perfect for our two young kids. Our kids loved playing in the very warm water and sand, and looking at all of the fish in the lake. It was so peaceful sitting on front porch looking at the lake In the evening. We really hope we can come back again soon!

We really enjoyed our stay! Communication was quick and easy and the host really cared about our stay. The walk to the water was quick and easy and little to no traffic crossing the street, which was great. There were plenty of things to do both in the water and at the home. Supermarket and restaurants were nearby, which was very convenient. The house was well maintained. You guys are Super Host for a reason. Thank you so much!

Peaceful, quiet setting and a large, clean home. My wife and son were very happy to wake up with the geese and deer, thank you for hosting us. Grocery store is close by and the local sushi place was surprisingly great!

We stayed here for a last minute long weekend getaway for my birthday. I really liked having coffee on the front porch and enjoying the view of the lake. My husband liked cooking up smores at the firepit. And our 7 year old son liked canoeing, kayaking, swimming, and the playground. The house was in a great location, I loved the decor, and the owner was helpful and responsive. Would definitely stay again.

Clean, spacious, spectacular view and all the amenities and extras. Our vacation was wonderful with so much to do. The playground and lake are a stones throw from the house. We canoed, swam, and caught fish with our nets (and released). We launched our boat and did water sports on both sides of the lake. We cooked at the house and grilled one night. We also spent the day at the Lake Anna Taphouse which was kid friendly with games and a huge outdoor area. The pool facility is beautiful and refreshing. I even did a water aerobics class. Ken was an outstanding host- friendly, accommodating informative. This was an A+ experience.

Very nice place with an open kitchen/family area and great view of the lake. Beds were comfortable. The lake and playground are just a few hundred feet away which was great to have with three young kids!

We stayed here as a family over Christmas and really enjoyed the space. It was clean, had a nice layout for community living, and so much deck space/windows for star gazing and sunrises. This place would be perfect in the summer and I hope to be able to come back. Very quiet and low key. The host was also very responsive and accommodating. Would definitely recommend.

We cannot say enough about the house and the owner. The property was very clean. Everything we needed was provided. The owner was prompt with response to any questions or requests we had. The neighborhood was quiet the views were absolutely beautiful because were there just as the leaves were changing color and falling. We will definitely stay here again when visiting family in VA.

We really enjoyed our stay! The view was beautiful of the lake, the house was so clean and comfortable. We walked the short path to the lake every day and loved the community pool. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. Neighbors and families at the pool were very friendly.
The spacious kitchen and living area are fun for cooking and relaxing. The bed was very comfortable and we loved having the big deck with the lake view for morning coffee and an evening cocktail. Casual living at its best!!

We loved staying at this location! The house is beautiful with a great view! Short walk to the lake with your own little private beach! Most of the time we were the only ones out there! There was also a playground there for our son who is almost two. He now calls it his lake house! There were plenty of games to play and DVDs to watch. Wonderful family time and would definitely go again!

What a beautiful spot!! The process was easy and the house is perfect for our family. We had a relaxing time and appreciated all the fun things to do (kayak & canoe, pool pass, ping pong table, jigsaw puzzle). We made the most of all of it! I can’t recommend enough!

The property owners were amazing. The house was everything we dreamed of and more. The location brought us so much joy! I, we, have no complaints.
We will definitely do this again but maybe early spring/late fall, with the warm water!

Great getaway
Really had a great stay. Property is a very short walk to the lake, which you can also see clearly from the balcony. The kids loved the playground and the sand area that leads into the lake. Should also mention that the host has a ton of fun extras that he provides for use — corn hole, ping pong table, etc. lastly, The check-in and check-out process was completed seamlessly. Overall, we had a great stay and look forward to renting again in the future.

Relaxing vacation
We had a wonderful relaxing vacation, we enjoyed running around the big front yard, listening to the frogs at night from the deck, making sand castles on the beach and romping in the playground. The canoes were great to get in the water and explore. Ken was great and even gave us tips on where the sand bars were out by the old duck blinds if we wanted to check them out. The big windows were also great to enjoy the view even on a stormy day. Thank you so much, we hope to come back again next year!

House was very clean, spacious, and dog friendly. Check in and out was easy. Internet was fast enough to work remotely during our stay (not a trivial thing around LKA). Would recommend for families or groups less than 8.
