Lovely seafront cottage in a nice location, plenty of space for our group of 4, definitely worth a visit
Shame about parking at front of property, I understand in the summer months that it would be busy but the property must surely have one space allocated as quite an uphill hike to the car park

No parking permit as promised, we had to pay £40 for 2 cars for 2 nights in a private car park. Initial blurb on the website was very deceptive

Splendid place to stay; large comfortable, clean and well equipped. Perfect for a weekend with extended family or friends. Cottage faces on to the sea and is idyllic when the sun shines. Lots of great walks and the beach and rock pools form a perfect habitat for children.
We loved everything but would advise that parking is at the top of a hill (10 minutes for me and I'm 72). Also advise to book any extra parking at Glen Vale (not quite as far up the hill).

Location was excellent, with stunning views over the harbour.
The layout is unusual and it could benefit from a floor plan to be available at the time of booking. Ground floor: kitchen and dining room. 1st floor: lounge/snug area, toilet, double bedroom. 2nd floor: double with en suite, twin bedroom, family bathroom. Attic room: 2 x twin rooms and bathroom. The attic room is accessed by a steep ladder type staircase and unsuitable for small children (approx under 8’s).

Better description of the property needed as not suitable for young children due to the uneven stairs. The property is very cluttered , wardrobes and draws full of stuff, some things dangerous for children such as lighters matches and batteries.

the living room could have been organised better, although this property can sleep 10, the lounge struggled to seat the 6 of us. we also struggled for plates, cups and glasses

I would like to give feedback with regard to clarity of the instructions relating to the parking permit.
please remove all the current information for use of the permit and replace with a simple bullet point instruction of the exact part of the car park where the car using the permit should be parked
even after phone calls to the agent it was unclear whether there were payments to be made as the meter at the car park suggested there should be

It hadn't been cleaned/beds not made/no clean towels when we arrived - we had to call the host and a team of 4 came round to sort things out
The wet room leaked through the kitchen ceiling so we didn't use that shower then - 7 people shared the other shower, but the hot water ran out on Saturday evening
Living room is lovely but there's not enough comfortable seating for all of us to sit in there

The cottage was in a great location, well placed to go to local pubs to eat at night. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking all meals and there was plenty of crockery. There were even board games to play in the lounge, although we had taken our own not realising how well equipped it would be.
There was no actual bread knife although there was a serrated one that we managed with, definitely not a deal breaker.
From our point of view, it would have been nicer to have an 11am check out considering you strip and bag bedding etc.

Location is excellent, just step out the front door onto the quayside and beach. The house has a modern well equipped kitchen and really comfortable lounge on the first floor. Showers are hot and powerful. Beds comfortable.
The balcony on the rear is best disregarded.

You have to park (free with a permit provided) at the top car park, which is a 10 min walk away up a very steep hill. We were able to drop off and pick up our belongings outside the house but not park there long term

Difficult to transport luggage down the very steep hill to get from the car park to the property so would be good to know if it is acceptable to offload luggage at the property before parking
