Coup de coeur, on a beaucoup aimé. Le logement est un chalet indépendant, spacieux, très propre, bien équipé. La literie est très bonne. Il y a une machine à laver le linge et un sèche linge, ce qui nous a été très utile au milieu du séjour en NZ. C'est situé à la limite du parc Abel Tasman, au calme, avec un joli jardin, une vue sur la mer. Sylvain est français et ses conseils de randonnée, de compagnie de bateau, de restos ont été super. On a essayé les 2 restos de Marahau qui sont très différents mais vraiment bons tous les 2 avec à chaque fois, un bon accueil

Abel Tasman is beautiful. Water taxi experience not to be missed.
A little too rustic for us over 60 year olds 😁....... as advised by host, must get provisions before you arrive in Marahau.

Tout est parfait; les explications tres détaillées avant l’arrivée,l’accueil souriant .La chambre est spacieuse et la cuisine bien équipée. Réveil au chant des oiseaux pour admirer le lever de soleil sur la baie ,une famille de wekas se promènent sur la terrasse.Après une belle randonnée dans le parc d’Abel Tasman : pause au soleiil dans le jardin fleuri et les senteurs de jasmin et citronnier.La nuit venue après avoir admiré les etoiles, une literie confortable permet de bien se reposer .

The house was self-contained, toaster, oven, cook-top, electric jug, lots of bench space and washing area,so we did our own breakfast daily & any other meals. There were many choices of tea bags, coffee, sugar. Good size fridge. Lots of amenities & tools for cooking ! Flowers on table!!
The lounge was comfortable and relaxing, no TV but it is a retreat! large windows & beautiful covered verandah with amazing views, sunny, light! Bedroom lovely, comfortable, all linen! good size, windows and views! Lots of storage.Bathroom, clean, well lit, towel warmer, hot water, shampoos etc! Washing machine and drier and outdoor area to do this. Beautiful gardens all around with a small retreat hidden next to house for healing & meditation. Plenty of car space and a windy, short drive up the hill to the house! The stay was peaceful, quiet, private & totally worth the stay! There was a storm one night and wild winds and lashing rain!!! Added to the stay!

We fell in love with this place! Great location with a very nice view. It has all the facilities that you need. We stayed here for 3 nights and loved every minute of it. Anna is a great host. She even went through the trouble to send a package our way after we had left something at the retreat.

Our host was welcoming and friendly, and the chalet we stayed in was roomy and very comfortable with everything we needed and more! A very well equipped kitchen made food preparation easy and a washing machine and dryer was available. The view was amazing and the unit was secluded and private. Can highly recommend!

We had a really lovely stay! Such a fantastic spot, the photos don't do it justice. Really liked the decor, kitchen and the comfy bed with great linen. Highly recommend!

Absolutely everything! The view is amazing. The place was immaculate and clean. The bed was super comfy. Very close to the start of the Abel Tasman track. Really enjoyed our stay.
We hadn’t noticed when booking that the place didn’t have a microwave. That was the only thing lacking but we made do with the stove so it wasn’t much of an issue.

The location of Anna's cottage could not be more spectacular. It overlooks the Marahau Velley, Abel Tasman NP, and Tasman Bay. The sun rises over the bay and sets to the west, lighting up the valley in the evening. The cottage had a full kitchen, comfy bedroom and a deck with table and chairs to allow us to enjoy the setting. The birds were a delight and the garden was beautiful. It's location provided quick access to the beach, the local restaurants (there are only two in Marahau, but both quite good), and the park. We had a wonderful stay in Anna's retreat cottage and would gladly return for a longer stay.
Not really a dislike, but the driveway can seem a bit steep and is gravel. But, it is well-graded and easy to traverse with any regular rental car.

Location was excellent with a superb view. Could not fault either the place or the lovely host Anna.. light bright clean and such a comfortable bed. Very easy living.and can’t wait to return, Staying here was music for the soul. Loved the indoor shower with the clear roof so you could look up at the sky while you showered. So unique.

We loved our stay at Marahau retreat! The cottage is super comfy and clean. The location is gorgeous and peaceful with amazing views. And the hosts are lovely. Would definitely stay again.

We love that Anna's house is tucked away in the valley. The location is so quiet and peaceful. She has stocked the cottage with all the basics you need to make your stay easy and enjoyable. The jar of honey from their bees was very generous and really appreciated. Plenty of fluffy towels and wonderful linen sheets to climb into at night were a treat. Anna is a wonderful host and goes out of her way to make sure her guests have a wonderful stay. Can't wait to come back again!

Such a beautiful place inside and out, full of character, with an awesome view of the sea and hills. It was such a peaceful place. The cottage was extremely comfortable and had everything we needed, Anna was great to deal with and even provided a jar of their own honey to keep. A lovely relaxing stay at the end of our holiday!
