Location
Extremely humid. Pictures doesn’t not reflect the reality.

Loved the vibe, the room designs, the tile, the robes, the common space, the swinging chairs, the picnic tables. Nicely Done!
If you could get the neighbor to clean up their rooftop - it's kind of an ugly eyesore. It'd be cool to plant a garden there!

That’s it’s on a cute street and close to the beach!
We had room 1 which is right in front and very loud because of the street.

Lage war entsprechend sehr gut.
Es gab keine Kaffee oder Tee Küche. Nur leeren Gläser.

Mooi ingerichte kamer
Auto’s rijden vlak langs de accommodatie/kamer. Hierdoor lig je er ‘s nachts van wakker.

Staff was extremely knowledgeable and friendly! Room was comfortable and clean, and had what I needed. Location was very convenient for enjoying the local scenery and getting to the beach. Nearby stores and restaurants were also convenient and high quality!

Very clean, cute room right near the beach (5 minute walk). Def more of a surfing beach than a swimming beach. The beds were sooooo soft and the duvets were bliss. Location was within 20 min of Fajardo and El Yunque. Short drive to the kiosks and other Luquillo beaches. Very sleepy little village area, but the few restaurants around were all great. Highly recommend Simple Food. The host was prompt at fixing a few issues caused by the whole-town power outage the day before we arrived. Loved the hammock chairs on the roof, great place to relax with a book in the evenings. The beach robes were a nice touch. Local stray kitty made our stay. My youngest got an awesome haircut at the barber's next door.
No closet area to hang clothes. No iron. You need to live out of your suitcase with wrinkles, but it's vacation and no one really cares!
The one rooster next door decided that 4:30am was a great time to wake up. Whole town is full of wandering chickens, so you're going to get that no matter where you stay unless you're up in one of the high rise hotels, which isn't our scene.

Just loved the little details. It's a unique property that surprisingly provides beach chairs and yoga mats in your room! Bonus. The deck up above with chair hammocks gives you a view of the ocean which is only a block away. Luquillo as far as I could tell is a small town that is not so touristy. The square is the towns square with lots of locals milling about. I especially love the one classic restaurant/bar where the old local men have their drinks and conversation!
We arrived after staff had just left and there was a quick response from someone via google tele and then Yaya called with more assistance since they are key codes on the doors. You won't regret your sty here in quiet Luquillo at the Surfing Turtle. Visit the Luquillo Kiosks a 5 min drive away and the breakfast place across the street. Also street parking was a plus!
Thank you!

the location of the property is invaluable. It is near a great restaurant and the brunch place is a moat visit while staying in Luquillo.

Very comfortable beds.

Clean
water pressure was horrible throughout the period of stay. additionally the curtains leave a lot exposed so attempting to properly close and not allow gaps was hard. the location was pretty loud at night as it’s really close to the Main Street in town so there’ll be a lot of noise from cars overnight.
2.0
Clean room, close to restaurants
Terrible noisy room, no privacy, lousy customer service, deceptive description on the Booking.com site. The property lied: it is NOT a 4-star hotel by any standard. It’s more like a youth hostel - but less comfortable and with worse customer service. Our room was small, Spartan, and faced directly onto the main road (the door literally opened right onto the sidewalk); people walking by could see right into our room when we opened the door or window shade. We heard noisy traffic all night, as well as very loud music from a bar a few doors down. We never saw any staff at the property - not when we initially checked in and not later when we tried to get help. (When we arrived, we had to wait half an hour before they even texted the instructions to get into the room; but after that, they did not respond to our subsequent attempts to contact them by phone call, text, or message via the website.) No parking space was provided; we had to park on the street. The location is far away from the actual Luquillo Beach; the beach nearby is ugly and not nice for swimming or relaxing on the sand. Do not stay here under any circumstances!!

I saw no breakfast. Dylan never mentioned it.
Heavy duty blanket/comforter is overkill, too warm. A lighter blanket would have been better.

Cute little boutique hotel with thoughtful touches, nice decorating, lovely little roof deck.
8.0
It was not to far from the beach and from local restaurants.
I didn’t have a broom or mop to be able to clean up after myself in case of making a mess.

The location is awesome. Have a lot of things close.
I only could communicate with the owner once when we got there. Our air conditioner wasn’t cooling and I tried to reach him but he didn’t answer in any way. We slept without it and it was a hard 2 nights cause of the heat.

extremely loud at night because right next to a street where people show off their cars

cute hotel close to the beach!
would have liked coffee creamer in the room as well as water

This place is amazing, and the property manager Dylan was clear and concise and was ready to answer any questions we had.
Mind you, if you look at Google maps this place is in the middle of "old town" luquillo. There are roosters and dogs making noise. This is normal! If you want a seriously quiet place, don't book a place in the middle of all the action!

We really liked and appreciated the upgrade to the upper floor. It was a relaxing time. The patio was nice. View of ocean off across the street a bit was nice and easy walking along the beach. La Pared mostly waves but access to a quieter nature reserve. It would have been about a 20 min walk to a good swimming beach on the other side of Luquillo. The proximity to the town and to the beach provided fun food options (we loved La Fonda Gourmet sandwiches across the street). Even though a hostel-space below and a shared patio with grill, the place was pretty quiet and chill with fellow travelers. Small retro mini-fridge useful, but no microwave or other amenity. Fun yoga mat and lounge chair and added touches. Comfortable space.
There really wasn't a kettle (more like a coffee-maker with pods but no coffee). We had our own coffee sock to improvise with the dripped hot water, but without a microwave on the premises, it would have been nice to have a way to heat up food or drinks since lots of food places were closed on New Year's. Overall comfortable.

Dylan was great! He was there when we arrived and it was super easy to check in. Room was spacious and clean. Beach chairs, yoga mats in room. Beds were so comfy! The area was a little loud at night but nothing the air conditioning and tv couldn’t cover up. Nice local restaurants. The roof deck was also very relaxing and nice to meet others staying there.
I thought the luquillo kiosks were closer and in walking distance. We didn’t get to them.

We sprung for the king suite and I'm glad we did. The room was spacious for our 3 day stay and the bed was very comfortable. There was coffee in the room which we enjoyed on the beautiful deck with new hammocks. The beach is a 2 minute walk away.

The room was nice.
When we arrived, the host said there had been a last minute party booking. There was music blasting from the back porch. He said the music would be off at 10. It was going well past midnight. There were also loud partiers yelling until very late. We had an early morning and got next to no sleep because of all the noise. Also the advertised parking was not available. The WiFi was down too.

Location was right by the beach/ocean. Restaurants/bars/convenient store are accessible!

spacious and clean rooms. location was superb. staff helpful and friendly. Dylan was the perfect host and helped me considerably with useful information about the area and adapting to a life here in PR. Thanks again!
no microwave ovens for heating food or beverages. The wifi signals were very weak.

very clean, cute decor! we only stayed one night so we didn’t use the beach chairs or yoga mats but nice to have! property is close to el yunque and the beach as well as the kiosks and some great restaurants! we ate at la Fonda gourmet for dinner and cafe la diferencia for breakfast, both a minute walk from here and some of our favorite meals on our trip! stay here if in the area!
