The location of the apartment was great. However, the quality of apartment itself was lower than what we expected. It smelled moldy and was dirty (especially the carpet that was everywhere, even in the kitchen). The apartment was extremely hot. There was no air conditioning and only one of the two fans provided was working. There were no curtains in any of the windows, so no privacy and no way to keep the apartment cool during the day, and lots of light in the morning. We had issues with the toilet as soon as we arrived (it didn’t flush well), and it was not working at all after 2 days. The plunger provided was completely broken so we had to message the host.
Our stay in the Edson Hill apartment was not up to our standards and we do not recommend it. The host should invest in the apartment to make it more confortable and clean.

This property was amazing. Dining room window over looked the woods which was gorgeous. It was tucked away in the woods but was close to everything. Will def stay there again.

So was planning a weekend at Stowe, so I booked this property, was simply looking for 4 walls a roof and 2 beds. Expectations were set fairly low on what I was looking for, really just needed a crash pad. Showed up, futon (one of the beds I was looking for) was broken so I informed the host the following morning as we arrived late that night. I had to sleep on the floor due to this issue. I provided them photos of what I was dealing with as well as gave them permission to enter the property at anytime. To resolve this issue.
They assured me this issue would be fixed promptly, that was not what happened. I ended up sleeping on the floor for the next 2 nights before someone showed up to “fix the issue.” Someone simply sawed the legs of the futon and made it into a box spring lol. I really wasn’t expecting much here but cmon. After we had left I tried to file for a refund in which they have only supplied me a “cleaning fee” refund of not even one night of my stay. Unfortunately this property seems to be owned by a greedy property management company that wants to take your money and run.
Other issues with this place is that at night it sounds like there is critters in the walls and we did find a pile of rat droppings in the living room. Guess the cleaning fee was really put to good use!
I really gave this owner several chances to redeem themselves so I would not have to leave a 1 star review however it does not seem like they care once so ever.

Overall we had a good time! We used this property as solely a place to sleep and didn’t spend much time there but it was exactly as described. We would stay here again as a bargain location with a comfy bed.

First off, we were quite pleased with the accommodations after some concern after reading previous reviews. The unit does came as advertised; a small but very functional and clean apartment with a comfortable bed which was perfect for just my wife and I. While the temperatures did reach 80 degrees after days of rain in Stowe, the unit was very comfortable especially with the supplied floor fans. The shower does have a large step up to get in and out but we had no problems with architectural feature; we actually embraced its uniqueness. The place is close to town; restaurants, bars, groceries, and shopping. We recommend this unit for a no frills stay especially if you are going to out and about enjoying what the area has to offer.

We entered & were greeted by a musty smell that was easily rectified by opening the windows. Overall a the property served our needs for our stay. A few things distracted us. 1 - The shower has a big step up so it was a bit wonky trying to get out. Some traction stickers would be a great safety measure. 2 - the TV needs an Internet connection to work & the router was down. There were no real instructions how to fix it. We eventually contacted the local office & Chris was a huge help but even after connecting to an alternate router the TV was basically out of commission for our stay. Other than those 2 issues it was a good rent. Comfortable bed, OK kitchen, easy access to the mtn road. We would stay there again as long as the TV works.

It was a hassle getting it a reminder for future renters to watch a YouTube video if you haven’t had experience with a smart lock. & Wifi was troubles connecting had to put off work till the next day to get any Wifi at all in the unit. First night there no Wifi.

Eventually, roughly 24 hours after my initial complaint, the vacasa relocation department moved me to a different Unit, and a decidely much nicer unit (and did not charge me for the upgrade).

Close to everything in Stowe. Easy access and decent little place. Very quiet. The pillows on the bed definitely need to go. Spending a little additional money on a couple of decent quality pillows would make this place a much nicer stay. They were half size and flat which made for a restless night sleep.

We enjoyed our 2 nights at this home in Stowe. The upstairs unit was conveniently located, with an easy drive to main street or the Stowe resort. We enjoyed how close it was to Weissner Woods (and enjoyed the trail). The decor was pleasing and unit was clean, even though it could probably use a bit of updating - flooring & kitchen. Takes a while for the water to heat up (low pressure) and pipes are a bit loud when heating cranks up - for a light sleeper, a bit tricky.
Rental process was seamless and communication was good throughout.

This unit is a garage apartment with all the usual dings and damage you’d expect of a ski destination apartment, but the entry door has clearly been broken into before and the property does not match the description or pictures. Worse, the unit was not clean and smelled of rotten fish and there was dirt and gravel in the bed. Two of my three nights there, a strange man knocked violently on the door. Property management was unresponsive to the safety concern. Additionally, there are no curtains, so you have no privacy. And there is dog poop on every inch of the property. The property is in a great location, but that simply didn’t make up for the filth or safety concerns. This makes an acceptable crash pad for skiing for people with high tolerance for ick. Otherwise, I would stay elsewhere.

This is a bare bones rental. The carpet is very worn; there is a hole in one of the closet doors; there are no dish towels or drying racks for cleaned dishes; there is no dish washer or washing machine. Also, the drive way is in very bad shape.
The location is good. It would be helpful if there were some brochures of things to do in the area and a key chain or fob for the house key.

Stayed for 8 nights with our dog. As advertised- small, basic amenities, good location.
The place is in a good location just off Mountain Road. It was quiet, and it was clean. The bed was very comfortable.
As other reviewers mentioned, the property is a little tired. The shower pressure is terrible. We were able to make do with the kitchenette. Not mentioned is a step stool is required to get in/out of shower.

Nice wood-surrounded setting. The bed was comfortable and the large fan cooled down the non-air-conditioned apartment without problem at night (though the rooms were quite warm in the afternoon).
The bathroom and shower aren’t great, though.

from no outside light to see to get the key to musty mildew smells, to stained futon, carpet stained, bath no water pressure, no light in bathroom, shower 2 feet off the floor, bathroom smells like a pee bucket. pillow shams & comforter smells like sweet never washed. will not stay again.

The property was the perfect size for myself, partner, and small dog. To our surprise the property was set back away from the road and felt very secluded, which provided a nice amount of privacy. The property is conveniently located so that you can get to downtown or any trails within twenty minutes. What the property lacks in shower pressure, hot water (this takes a painfully long time), and parking during the autumn (our car ended up with a few dents from whatever was falling from tree above our designated parking spot); it makes up with extra linens and a very comfortable bed.

Super close to little town of Stowe and a lot of hiking trails! Bathroom is a bit small and could be updated but living room and kitchen is nice. Good amount of space for a cozy weeklong getaway for two.

Efficient Apartment with excellent access
This above-garage apartment is well set up for visitors, The bed is comfortable. The location works well for back woods and nordic skiers and hikers. We travelled ten minutes by car for alpine skiing at Stowe.

Unit itself was clean and well decorated; our only complaints would be the light in the staircase (2 lights, one of which was out completely and the other was quite dim), the bathroom (have to step up into the shower, which was a bit small, and water pressure was quite weak), and the age of the unit/furnishings (kitchen, bathroom, and carpet are a bit dated).
Just FYI - there are 3 units at this property; two short-term rentals and one "long term tenant". Everyone has their own clearly marked parking spaces, and it felt quite safe overall. I would definitely stay here again!

Some concerns..
Excellent location of unit.. however carpet needed deep cleaning and there were no dish towels in the kitchen... Would have liked to be told that unit was in a building with 3 other units. Did not see ANY working smoke detectors or CO2 detectors onsite.

Nice place, but...
The overall place was nice, clean, and pretty much as pictured, however the bathroom was a problem. There is a huge step out of the extreme water saver shower. It is very tricky to get in and out of. It is a good place otherwise with a fantastic view.
