My family of 4, including twin girls who are 8 years old, thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. It is in the heart of St Remy, and we were able to walk everywhere in the village. There is free parking a short 5 minute walk away. Patrick, the property manager, was very helpful and attentive and made us feel very welcome. We had plenty of room to spread out, and my kids absolutely loved swimming in the pool after a long day of touring. The parents loved the nicely equipped kitchen, air conditioning(!!!), nice bathrooms including one with a tub for the kids, tons of hot water, a washer and dryer. We loved this property and highly recommend it. The village of St Remy is lovely and a great place to use as your base to explore Provence.

This was a great base for day trips and we were walking distance to many restaurants for dinners in St. Remy.

If you really want to be in the center of St Remy and with a Pool this is definitely the place.
The property is very up to date including the most modern appliances and truly just steps to shopping and dozens of restaurants. Parking is not on the property but is around a 5 - 10 minute walk through the center of the town in a quite modern outdoor lot.

Perfect - no other words
Book your stay now! Jenny and Tim were perfect hosts!! The apartment looks just as pictured and Jenny and Tim are even more fabulous than the reviews say. They go above and beyond for every single thing and even for the things that they should not even worry about. Perfect!!
The apartment is charming and like I said, exactly as pictured. It is in an optimal location and we took many, many day trips over our two-week stay. Tim and Jenny provided terrific guidance on what to do and where to go. :) The free parking is less than five minutes away and conveniently on the way to and from coffee and/or cocktails and wine.
The beds are Euro beds are typically Euro firm, pillows are assorted and you can definitely find one you like. The handheld nozzle in the master bath, makes it feel like two full bathrooms. The stairs are, well stairs that you should expect in a mid-18th-century apartment. Not terribly difficult, and not as wide as modern stairs. Certainly not 'stairmaster' like as previously referred to. If you can even moderate mobility, you will be fine.
I am super happy to recommend this lovely home! You'll enjoy it.

St. Remy is Always a Good Idea!
We loved working with Jenny & Tim Pope. They were super-helpful & informative.....the best! The house has been beautifully renovated and it is very vertical with lots of steps. The steps are a potential drawback for families with toddlers or elderly guests. We were worried about missing the gym while we were in St. Remy but, as it turns out, we had a built-in Stair Master.

Clean, perfectly located, great little pool. Wonderful house overall (and Tim and Jenny are lovely). Absolute dream overall.

Loved our week here in St Remy
Our great experience started with property manager Jenny going above and beyond to assist me with a situation completely unrelated to this lovely house. AC in the bedroom and a lovely breeze with the windows open. Croissants from the nearby bakeries, coffee and milk waiting in the cupboard. Sitting on the patio. Afternoon dip in the pool. Exploring the charming streets, shops, restaurant and Wednesday market of St Remy. A lovely walk to Les Antiquities/Glanum. Day trip options to Avignon, Arles, Pont du Gard, Camargue, Rousillion, and the many charming towns of Provence. For this trip we chose the more relaxing options. It is a comfy, charming, stylish, convenient, place to stay. Highly recommend it.

Great place and great location
There was lots of room and everything was well stocked. St. Remy is a really cute town and this house is very close to everything. We used it as a base for exploring the many sites in the area and town is perfect for this , easy to drive in and out. Jenny was a pleasure to meet and gave us some good tips.

Charming Old World Townhome with Modern Comforts in the Heart of St. Remy
We greatly enjoyed our 12 days at this home which was spacious, well-equipped and close to everything in St. Remy. Jenny and Tim were gracious and engaging hosts. This is a great place for home base from which you can visit most of Provence on day trips. Ours included the hillside villages of the Luberon, Baux and Carriers du Lumiere, Cassis, Chateauneuf de Papes, Tarascon and more. Delightful...

Perfect house in the perfect location in Provence
Tim and Jenny were wonderful hosts, greeting us upon arrival and walking us through this beautifully updated 16th century house. The location is perfect, with a minutes walk to the town, around the corner from an incredible artisan bakery (try the Alpillettes), a great restaurant, and the town center, but when you walk back down the street by the Musee des Alpilles, it's like walking back in time AND away from the tourist noise and activity. St Remy is the perfect location to explore the area:none of our drives were over an hour, and we went to the Camargue (Flamingos!) to the mountains: (Vaison la Romaine, Gordes, The Bories). The Roman France is 15 to 45 miles away (Arles, Nimes, Orange and Pont du Gard), as are hidden treasures such as Fontaine de Vaucluse, as well as the wine regions of Chateauneuf du Pape and Gigondas. The St Remy market on Wednesday is a must do (but requires a 1-2 minute walk) and the Roman ruins of Glanum are a 15 minute walk. The surrounding mountains, The Alpilles, provide a breathtaking backdrop when leaving or returning to town. And oh yes, Van Gogh hung around this town and painted it as well. Think about all this as you sit with your glass of wine under the grapevine canopy, watching the sunlight fade on your pool and the remains of the historic Hotel de Sade. The house is well equipped, should you choose to stay in and cook, and comfortable to relax and unwind in after a day and dinner out. The neighborhood is perfectly quiet and secure. We can't wait to return.

Amazing Rental...with some disclaimers.
The location of the house is superb, center of of old town, charming, beautiful winding, cobble stone streets, walk to shops, restaurants, the market and tourist attractions. The pool and back courtyard is lovely. The pool refreshing, clean and maintained, the terrace and outdoor eating area covered with lovely views of other houses and roman ruins, yet very private. The first floor, is very nicely laid out with a small living room with two sets of french doors leading out to the dining terrace, a very nicely furnished kitchen, with a large refrigerator, wall oven, wall microwave, induction cook top, large sink and ample counter-space. Their is a large dining table in the kitchen area. There is also a small flat-screen TV in the corner of the kitchen, as well as WiFi router, Sat TV and DVD player. We were there in hot weather with temperatures from 26 C (mid 80's F) to 34 C (close to 100 F), there was a large fan, and some cross ventilation, but the heat on that level was very uncomfortable in the evening and stifling during the day. The second floor master, is a beautiful space, with high ceilings, large natural wood beams, lovely views, a modern bath (open to the bedroom) with a free standing tub, a toilet and double sinks. The bed is large and kind of 1990's IKEA. there is one very small, very low side table, and a couple of IKEA rolling open wardrobes. The air conditioning on this level is great, a saving grace for sleeping, siestas and the escape from the heat below. And now for the ... The main entry level, is horrible, it is dark, it smells so badly from mildew, that it is unbearable to be down there for long. it has two tiny badly furnished monastic bedrooms ( that would serve someones children more as detention then a place to sleep), very small toilet and sink (half bath), that could have been cleaner, a very nice salle de bain with a large sink and walk in shower, and a stackable washer dryer. Unfortunately you have run in to use the shower and get out quickly because of the mildew smell. We used two and half cans of Frebeeze air cleaner in six days with little avail. We were given a few threadbare, mismatched towels (come on, time to buy several sets of nice towels for your guests to use, I would not give those towels to my house guests and would expect a moderately expense guest rental would do the same). The flatware was a pile of old, worn, dollar store castoffs. Parking is not free or convenient.

A lovely property in a great location
The family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in St Remy. The house had everything we needed and is very comfortable. The town is on the doorstep so it was easy to stock up on provisions, shop, eat or just amble around. Our hosts ,Tim and Jenny, were marvellous and they picked us up from the airport so we did not bother with hiring a car. It was a wonderful holiday and we are already looking forward to returning.

The perfect place to stay in St. Remy!
We absolutely loved this townhouse and highly recommend it for a stay in St. Remy. It is large, clean, well appointed and has a well stocked kitchen. It was unusually hot when we were there so the air conditioning in the upstairs bedroom was wonderful and the pool was so refreshing. There are three levels to the townhouse and the stairs are cement so if you have small children you should be aware of that. The bottom floor has two bedrooms but it was damp down there so we just used the main floor and the upstairs which worked perfect for our family of four. The location could not be more perfect and beautiful. Everything you need is right outside your door yet it is VERY quiet in the townhouse. We loved St. Remy and when we come back will choose to stay here again! Tim and Jenny are wonderful and were very responsive to all of our questions!

This was a lovely place in which to base our stay in Provence. We got into town in the midst of a music festival making it difficult to find the property. We gave Tim a call and he was very helpful in helping us get our bearings.
The house was clean and spacious and had all the tools we needed to prepare a few meals for ourselves and was close to many, many restaurants, cafes and shops.
I believe we would readily stay here again and again.

Great Place To Experience St Remy
We thoroughly enjoyed our three-week stay at Le Auvent town house. The upstairs bedroom/sitting room and the first floor eating/living area are very spacious, and the ground floor bedrooms and laundry/shower room are comfortable and efficient, easily accommodating the guests we had for our final week. Everything is modern, clean and attractive. We didn’t use the small swimming pool because the weather was cool in October, but we are sure it would be a great place to relax in the summer.
The location of the town house is superb, a very short and pleasant walk to the many shops and restaurants, two museums, weekly market, and other attractions of central St Remy. There are a Spar grocery store and several bakeries a three minute walk away. We found parking available on Rue du Parage or nearby Blvd Gambetta every day except during the fall festival, when we used car parks a few minutes walk from the house. We felt at all times that the house and the nearby streets were secure. We also found the location to be an excellent base from which to explore nearby Les Baux, Arles, Tarascon, and Avignon, as well as the Luberon and the rest of Provence.
We would recommend Le Auvent to anyone who would like to experience St Remy from the comfort of a spacious home.

Heated pool & terrace, the must in May
This spacious and well equipped town house is just a must for the month of May! We spent time in the heated pool (water temperature was 30° with air at 25°) and then burning in the warm sun. We took all our meals from breakfeast to dinner on the sunny terrace, using the barbecue with its efficient chimney to avoid smell or smog! This season was just perfect to visit this astonishing area of Provence, admiring the olive trees and other wild flowers blossoming in the Alpilles mountains , testing the fantastic olive oil or rosé and enjoying visiting the museums around the corner (Van Gogh and Alpilles museums), before sitting on a terrace to enjoy a pastis with tapenade toasts! I highly recommend this address!

SUPER ENDROIT

Cosy place in old St Remy
The house has been rebuild in a modern style inside of the old wall of the typical St Remy village . The house can be used by two families with one at the ground level one at the second level and the big living place in the middle. What I preferred was the 4 different bakery at less than 1 minutes walk through the old city at 7:am morning. Should come back in summer to test the pool.
