The location of the villa is really perfect, one minute walk from the beach, and in a safe area. The room was spacious and big, the beds were very comfortable. The staff were nice, they even waited for us for a late check-in and we had beach towels which was very nice.

The only thing I would improve are some details in the room- the bathroom door didn't close well, the bathroom wasn't very well cleaned and although it's new it looked like it's not well maintained. We also were disappointed we didn't have soap in the bathroom or a place to hold the toothbrushes. The curtains in the room were also dirty and some of the sheets had holes in them. As a whole the room itself was clean but for the price they could improve the quality a bit.

Kendwa is a stunning stretch of beach in the northwest of Zanzibar. this villa is set just behind the front row of hotels. It has it’s own secure gate into a small courtyard. The villa has 3 bedrooms, we took two and there was a couple in the other one. The triple room had an en-suite bathroom which was great. There is a spacious lounge and dining area and a kitchen area, but the local supermarkets don’t really sell much that you could cook up a decent meal on. so it was spacious comfortable and we really appreciated the mosquito nets on all the windows and hanging around each of the beds. Mustafa who assisted us on arrival was always on hand to advise, help and sort out any issues that we had.

Unfortunately I had some work but no data plan and there was some wifi dropout but Mustafa was always on hand to get me back online.

We really enjoyed our stay. We had the big room with two twin beds, air conditioning, and private bathroom in a very central location a short walk from the beach. There are stores and restaurants within 10 minutes walking distance. But more important, Mustafa was a great host. He arranged for us to do laundry on-site for a small cost, handled a bothersome occupant, and even let us keep our bags in the room past check-out time so that we could do a Mnemba snorkeling trip. He is also a great supporter of his community, teaching in a local public school and doing community outreach in Kendwa. Service makes all of the difference and Mustafa made our stay special. We highly recommend Pumzika Kendwa Villa for your Kendwa stay!

It would have been nice to have liquid hand soap and a hand towel in the bathroom. Also a bottle of water in the room on the first day would have been appreciated.

The room was really big, the mattress is perfect! The host was perfect, made our stay the best.

Mustafa is the best host ever) Thanks a lot for support and help. That was super clear inside, super nice place and room, staff was very pleasant. Ocean near, literately 3-4 mins by foots.

There is some restaurant near with noise and worst music. But only a couple of hours at evening, fortunately.

The stay at Pumzika was perfect for us, we had an amazing week. The house is just a 2 minute walk from the Kendwa beach, and many good restaurants nearby. Mustafa was an excellent host helping us get the most out of our time in Zanzibar. Thank you!

Nothing in particular

Since the booking Mustafa has been a great help at every point of our stay. He was very attentetive and helped us about taxis, restaurants and even for iphone cable :) We stayed in a room with its own bathroom, there was a AC and ceiling fan, so we never felt the heat that much. The room and bathroom was extremely clean. The location is great just 5 mins by the beach. We loved the area, we are glad that we didnt stay anywhere else. Thank you Mustafa for being a great host!

I cant think of anything as everything was great for us

As someone already wrote, the mattress in one of the three rooms was a bit saggy. When we mentioned this to the manager (brother of the owner, very friendly and helpful), he immediately offered to change the room. The next day he had bought a new mattress. We found it great how open he was to feedback and how he implemented wishes directly. The apartment is also very safe and in a very good location. There is free laundry service.

Super well Located. Hard to find but very close to everything. It was so clean.

It is a villa with three rooms and a common kitchen and living room. The kitchen is relative well equipped so for people who want to prepare themselves a breakfast or lunch it is very convenient. We've rented the room for three persons; overall there was enough space and the room was quite comfortable. The villa is located very close to the beach in Kendwa, just a few steps. There are also shops with basic products and fruits, as well as several restaurants with good food, especially seafood. There is an internal yard if somebody wants to park the car inside the fence or there is a place outside the gate for a car, if somebody rented one. The access from the main road leading to Nungwi, about 1.5 km is awful, as in other places in Zanzibar, so one must really take care to drive carefully. At place one can count on the help of Mustafa, who is able to arrange some tours or advice about where to buy some food. Overall, it is great place for people who want independent place in good location.

A nice place and good value for money! Friendly and supportive staff, close to the beach. Good for calm relaxed holidays, nice beach. Though if you want to have more night life - Nungwi can be a better option.

Awesome choice! - Location centrally located, 2 mins walk from the beach - Cosy place with 3 rooms only, spacious kitchen and living room, nice space around the villa. - Owner stays in another house walking distance, so privacy guaranteed - you feel like at your own home - Very pleasant manager Mustafa, who can be reached easily gia WhatsApp, solves your asks immediately, easy-going, accommodating and not problematic at all (allowed for late checkout as no guest was waiting for the room) - Double Room with own bathroom is comfortable with AC, space for belongings - Good quality of wi-fi (best to use during the day) - If you are on budget, you can cook in the kitchen, there is fridge there too

- glass separating shower from the toilet could help limit the water flooding the bathroom - additional table and small fridge in the Double Room with own bathroom could be nice + something to put the bags on - i would advice to block area in front of the entrance with stones or blocks to allow for comfortable exit, as taxi cars are blocking the way fully

This villa in Kendwa is very Close to the beach, is an amazing option for those who don’t want to spend a fortune for accommodation. Is super clean, someone is cleaning the room everyday and also they have kitchen, living room and laundry.
