Property is very nice, I will say the door needs a dead bolt on the inside, so no one comes in while you are relaxing during the day or night. The surprise visit we had was very upsetting to us. We realize work was going on but was still upsetting to us. Besides that, everything else was wonderful. Pls put a deadbolt on door.

The property was as ON the beach as you could possibly ask for. Not a ton of amenities or anything fancy within the unit but it was clean and had as much as we needed for a short stay. I would definitely return!

The property is steps from the beach and the unit we stayed in, unit 1, had a panoramic view of the ocean. Walk out the door and within a few feet you’re on the beach. Everything was well kept and clean. Would definitely stay again.

We LOVE this property! This was the second time we stayed at the Island House and we will most definitely return. The condo is clean, well appointed and is perfectly situated right on the beach. The only improvement I feel could be made would be adding hooks to hang beach towels and wet clothes. The Island House was just what we needed as a family to rest and recharge.

We were in love with the property from the moment we parked. Being steps away from the ocean was a huge plus.

We loved EVERYTHING about this beautiful apartment. Super super clean, very well decorated, stocked just enough to do some cooking, the beds were comfortable, the WiFi worked, and you see your neighbors just enough to say good morning and good evening. The view in number 1 was spectacular and the beach was so clean and fun! The price was affordable for our family. Manasota Kay location is perfect for short day trips off the island. A couple fun places to eat and a convenient store is all they have. We loved the small community with no hustle and bustle. We’ve never stayed anywhere twice but we would certainly consider doing it here. Thank you for providing such a wonderful stay. 5 stars!

Right on the beach

Great location, very clean, nicely stocked. My only want would to have seen tv’s in the bedroom, however that’s just a personal opinion. Great place.

I have a HUGE pet peeve with vacation rental owners and that's when they list their rental as "beachfront" and you find out it's not. My favorite is "steps to the beach" which really means "get your car keys." This place...THIS PLACE!!!! It's closer to the beach than any other property I've EVER stayed at. From the front door of Unit 1 to the beach stairs it's 40 feet. If you walk 40 more feet you're swimming. Now that's CLOSE!!! This property is beyond charming. Yes it's an old building. Yes some things have been retro fitted. Is it ultra modern and flawless? Nope. But that's what makes it charming. The owners did a great job making this place look nice. The rough cut shiplap looks great. The kitchen is updated and the unit is tastefully decorated. The view from the front windows is nothing but sand and water. Absolutely amazing!!! Can there be improvements? Sure. The 1 bathroom is very cozy. Can that be fixed? Not really but it's tight. Some of the furniture is worn and could use updating. Other pieces seem brand new which is awesome. The king bed was a bit uncomfortable for me. Others might love it. A handful of other things, but why get picky? All those things melt away when you look out and see the great view. The biggest issue? We only stayed for a weekend. Next time it will be for longer!

We found the property as advertised- clean and ready to use. The location is fantastic, it was serene and calming - we walked the beach, read a lot while looking at the water from the inside of the condo, and were in awe of the never disappointing sunsets. Will go back some day

This place is amazing and right on the beach. You cannot get any closer and the first floor beach facing unit had a panoramic view of the ocean. The unit has beach chairs , umbrella and a community grill. Pack up your favorite beverage and bathing suit and book it!

My family and I (4 of us) stayed here for 4 days and it was paradise! There are several units in the 2-story building and this one is definitely the winner as far as view, ease of getting to the beach, and size. We could tell it's been updated and made to feel more modern. There were more than enough kitchen supplies, with everything you need to make a home-cooked meal. The bathroom was tiny, but the shower was great. No bath for the littles, but mine are big enough to stand in the shower to bathe. I loved the open floor plan too. The beds were pretty comfortable and the linens were very beachy. As we left, my hubby and I decided we'll definitely be back; just earlier in the summer to miss the red tide. So stinky! Either way, we loved this trip!

Our family of 5 had a blast on our vacation. This property was perfect for our young kiddos. Proximity to the beach can’t be beat. It was perfect for our youngest (2 years old) who didn’t always want to spend hours at the beach. It was very easy and convenient to walk back and forth throughout the day.

We stayed at the Island Beach house for 5 nights and enjoyed the beach front unit on the first floor. The bed and bedding were comfy, the rest of the unit was open and spacious.....and the view....amazing. There are tables and lounge chairs right in front of your window, so you might see your neighbors eating there but we weren't inside for most of the time so that didn't bother us at all. The bathroom is on the small side but we made it work for my husband, myself, and my two little boys. I would just recommend putting up towel hooks in the bathroom/outside to hang wet towels and swimsuits. The stove also was a little wacky. Trying to make pancakes and put the burner on low....it burned my pancake within a few seconds. So just be alert. Hehe Other than those little things, it's in a great spot and close to lots of restaurants and things to do. We loved just waking up and running out to the blue gulf waters!! We would definitely stay again. Nina was easy to work with and let us check in a little early since we were only a 4 hour drive away and there was nobody there before us that day. Looking forward to coming back!!

The apartment was equipped with everything we needed (including beach chairs, umbrellas, towels). Perfect spot to enjoy the beach!

Excellent location, right on the beach!! Very clean and spacious, bright and comfortable. The outside deck and grill area were an excellent addition to the beach area. We will stay here again!

Loved our bottom unit right on the beach. Walking distance to everything. Family friendly and not over crowded. Our Host, Nina, was available and easy to work with.

Great communication with owner/property manager. Enjoyed the condo and great location.
