Our second time staying at Jacobia. Very clean and plenty of supplies. Love that it is dog friendly and we had plenty firewood which we appreciate very much. It’s easy getting down to beach, has low bluff. There are excellent places to sit with great views. Few negatives were host/property manager I contacted about how much firewood told me I would have to pay $8 a bundle, but there was plenty not bundled. Also asked if coffee maker was a kuerig or drip, and was told kuerig, but it was a drip. Not the end of the world but bought k-cups to bring on trip. Host should know details of the property before answering incorrectly. Also the couch is extremely old and broken down.

We really enjoyed the sunsets and everyday views. Everything was comfortable and clean.

Beautiful house with great views. House exactly as described. Lots of outdoor space and only a short walk to the beach. This house had everything we needed for a relaxing long weekend. Hope to visit again soon!

Clean and allows pet

Our stay at Jacobia was awesome! Terrible weather, but take what you get. The views are outstanding, very clean house. Lovely and numerous areas to sit outside. Steps to beach very duable. Steps inside were a bit much since main living area is up. If you are older/senior age you might want to take that into account. We also have older dog and he would not climb the stairs. My only true complaint is coffee maker was not working very well and cheap. We found a Keurig and it was basically broken. So that was a disappointment. Overall still give 5 stars and would come back!!!

We were blown away by this house! The house was extremely clean when we arrived and appreciated the extra towels and toiletries. But the best part was the outdoor spaces, lake views and direct lake access. Our family of 4 (and pup) had the best time and can’t wait to come back!

House was exactly as described. What a bonus to find paddle boards, a kayak, plentiful firewood, etc at the house. The location couldn't be better and the home had everything we needed for our stay. The pictures just don't do it justice. At night, with the deck lights, serene sounds of the lake.. the vibe is all any of us could've asked for!

Everything was great. The outdoor living spaces were exceptional.

This rental was everything we had hoped for and more! Direct beach access while the home was nestled up in the trees (great views from the house and beach alike) and so many places to sit and relax outside — our favorite was the wooden platform right on the beach with plenty of reclining chairs and just a few steps down to the water. Can’t wait to come back!

The proximity to the beach is a wonderful feature and you feel like you have the whole beach to yourself with very few people around. The house has paddle boards, kayak, life jackets, sand toys and beach chairs and beach towels available for use but not in the listed description. The decks are wonderful and the views are beautiful. DiMaggio's is just down the street with great pizza and Italian food. Be mindful of tick checks as it is in a wooded lot with ticks a plenty.

This was the perfect vacation home for our family! There are many outdoor seating areas with fantastic views of the lake, and the house is well laid-out and offers plenty of comfortable space with panoramic views for indoor time. There is a large deck off the upper-level living room with lots more seating. Down at the beach there is another large deck with zero gravity chairs and sunbrellas. There are 42 stairs down to the beach deck, and then 5 more to the actual beach, but there's a bench for those who need a rest half way up. There are wooden paths that lead to an upper seating and viewing area with Adirondack chairs overlooking the lake from a great sunset-watching location. The firepit area was an awesome outdoor feature where we relaxed and made smores after long days enjoying the gorgeous private beach. Back in the house, the washer and dryer are a great convenience. The beds are comfortable and there are plenty of them, and the kitchen is well equipped. The property is wooded and has beautiful natural landscaping. The only thing I would say deserves a warning is there are ticks... lots of them. Be prepared to wear bug spray, and to thoroughly, frequently check yourselves, your kids, and your dog, if you bring one (and make sure your dog is on a flea and tick preventative!)

We loved this rental steps away from Lake Michigan. Clean accommodations and had everything provided for a comfortable stay. We really enjoyed the Jacobia Blend Kayak coffee that was provided and our dog Mayday enjoyed his care package as well! Ideally located between South Haven and St. Joe/Benton Harbor so it's easy to enjoy all the area has to offer - or stay at Jacobia and watch the incredible sunsets or enjoy long walks on the beach.

This place is a perfect place to relax any time of year. Private yet right on the beach.

Great amenities, wonderful lake view and beach access from the back yard. Problem was we couldn’t get in the house for two hours due to us being given a front door access code and a separate lockbox code that didn’t work.

The view of the best part of this home. Zero complaints there. If you have a large family and pets; this is the place. We are pet lovers, but the furniture and almost anything wood is scratched and/or chewed on. The fridge had some sort of spill that was never cleaned. I had just had surgery and was looking forward to just relaxing a bit. One thing I didn’t bring was a hair dryer because it was to be provided. Generally this would be no big deal but it was freezing out and I needed one after I showered to go outside. Why I’m making a point of this is that I called 3 different times requesting a hair dryer. It just aggravated me that they kept telling me to look around the house.. IT WAS NOT THERE! I told them this and no one ever reached out again after the last call. Just drop one off… The history of the property is very interesting. Take some time to read the books that have been left behind 😊. This is my second Vacasa rental. I won’t be renting from them again.

My wife and I stayed the house for an extended weekend. Our son and his family were able to join us for a day. My grandkids absolutely loved the beach and we enjoyed that there were seats where we could watch them. What a great time!

Great weekend. Beach to ourselves. Wonderful location. Quiet and peaceful area. House has plenty of room with a nice big table. Clean and neat. Very comfy. Will come back. Enjoyed sitting areas along the beach steps.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay. The setting is the absolute best with an amazing view, private beach, and lots of outdoor seating. The house was well laid out with comfortable furniture. Reminded me of visiting a parent/grandparent's house. We were there at the end of September and even though there was a day of extreme wind and chilly weather, the house was quiet and warm. We had daily access to the beach and miles of coast to walk. The house is 40 miles south of Holland and 10 miles north of St Joseph right on the lake surrounded by trees - perfect!

Beautiful vacation home. Very clean! Beautiful lot shaded with trees and nature. They provided all the chairs, umbrellas, toys, towels, paddle boards. My family had a blast! I loved the miles of walking on the clean beach. Our spot was private but the people we met walking were all so friendly! We want to go back!

Beautiful Private Beach with wonderful Sunsets every night. The home had several places indoor and out to find a comfy spot to relax.

The views alone are worth staying here!!! Then you have a private beach with a little deck area that has lounge chairs, beach chairs, umbrellas, sand toys etc. The sunsets are beautiful! The decks were great for meals. There’s a fire pit and a nice couch seating area as well. Tons of stuff to enjoy the outdoors. Inside was well equipped. There was nothing that we needed. Plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, soap, dishwasher tabs, garbage bags, detergent, even beach towels. We will definitely be back!!! Thank you.

The lake house was beautiful itself and had amazing views of the lake from all the porches and even the couch inside. Having our own private beach was surreal and so peaceful, we enjoyed using the grill, going swimming in the lake, beach walks, and having bonfires at night. So romantic and the history of the house and family was very neat!

There is not a negative thing I could say, from the cleanliness, location, knowledge of the history of the property. My family and I will definitely be back and I would refer this property to all looking.

I will start off by saying I was grateful to find this property. I was looking last minute for a place for a small trip for my kiddos and I. I have loved all my trips through Vrbo & even used them when they were homeaway. This trip was different. Typically I’ve gone through owners individually with the exception of a couple of stays in condos. This property is owned by vacasa. I had a difficult time contacting them. Long story short- I booked the property. I never received check in instructions. I called and was on hold for almost an hour before I got ahold of someone & they made be aware that they needed to do identity verification. This was fine. It was a slight inconvenience having to stay on hold so long just to get this info as I am a nurse & was working long hours before my trip. Fast forward to getting to the place. This property itself is so cute & the beach is nearly out your back door. I couldn’t haven’t asked for a better location. The sheets on one of the bunk beds did have some dog hairs & crumbs. I felt the standard of cleanliness for the sheets could have been better. The most annoying part was the Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi never worked the whole time we were there. The screen kept saying they needed to activate the internet through Xfinity with their info which we would not have of course. All of my devices stated this. Now remember, trying to get ahold of vacasa whether it’s on the phone or message is a bit difficult. I called & the woman I spoke with said she would let someone be aware. I also messaged on the Vrbo app- &that is absolutely a waste of time. I finally received a message a long time later asking about having maintenance out. To which I never received another reply. I messaged asking someone to call and never did receive another call or message. We were not here for the Wi-Fi but with two young kids & the signal being not so great by the lake- it was fairly important. It was a pretty big inconvenience. On top of that the lack of communication from vacasa makes this a- you’ll figure it out- type of situation. We did. & as I said the location is absolutely amazing. The beach was beautiful & secluded. I liked the multi level deck. The upstairs is super cute & the view made it worth it. All in all- the property is great. Especially it appears if you have or need accommodation for pets. However, dealing with a bigger company like vacasa does create a bit of a barrier when problems arise.
