Staff very welcoming, helpful and positive. Room is simple, but clean and has everything you need for a night. Free parking and next to the hotel.

Very good restaurant for dinner and good breakfast in the morning. Very friendly staff

Although the rooms were outdated, it was quite clean & the beds were very comfy. The hotel is centrally located in the heart of the town, walk distance to the shopping area and most restaurants. The hotel is located in a different building than the restaurant itself and you have to walk to the other building for breakfast.

The breakfast was utter chaos. The space for the buffet is very small and tight. You have to wait if a few people are getting their food. Most of the breakfast was up already at 8.30 am, and we had to wait for eggs, coffee, forks... Coffee comes separately when you ask the staff - which was just 1 person on this particular morning. It could have been just one understaffed day.

Clean spacious room with good shower room en-suite. Excellent evening meal and breakfast. The local brew was also good. Really good location for the Alt Start and the Roman fort. Nice friendly people.

We were there on 27/12 and there was a noisy group who lingered a bit near the annex (where we were staying) but that was no fault of the hotel. The sound insulation between rooms was not up to current standards but we slept well in a comfortable bed

was not actually hotel in the picture on booking.com and was a sister hotel so was not expecting that The lady receptionist in the morning very rude

The only thing that was good is breakfast.

It was very cold in the room and heating system was broken. Someone came to fix it, but without success. The carpet on the floor is really old and dirty, as well as the sofa. Everything in that room needs to be renovated. Also one of the windows can not be sealed properly. Because of that window and the nearby road, it was way to much noise. Overpriced!!!!

Rude "welcome",poor parking, no apologies from staff until advised of their shortcomings. No english translation of hotel info guide,not told that restaurant/bar would be closed on Wed night.

we didn't knew in advance that we wouldn't stay in the hotel but in the dependency, that was a bit of a disapointment. The environment of the dependency missed the atmosphere of the hotel.

Location

No air conditioning, very little parking, noisy. Last night of stay,there was a fight in the hallway outside our room between at least two men. Also, there was a fight between a man and woman outside our window.

Free parking, a short distance away, but a bonus for a hotel in the centre of the old town. Friendly and hard-working staff. A pleasant area by the front entrance for a drink, and later a meal, with glass walls at each end to keep out what might have been an annoying wind. Evening meal and breakfast good value. A satisfactory, inexpensive overnight pad.

Our room was in an annexe, and we were expecting to be in the hotel proper, There were two flights of stalrs to climb to reach it, but there was a balcony, and our car was just below us, so not all bad!

Our room was adequate for a one night stay. The accommodation was in a pub in the centre so provided a lovely evening meal and great city centre location, with a fabulous friendly atmosphere. The breakfast was superb.
