Nice view, good breakfast, big and spacious hotel with nice spa and pool.

The bed was rock hard. No conditioner, Only shampoo and shower gel in the bathroom, no coffee in the room. I expect that from a hotel with that amount of stars.

Amazing original 1960’s interiors that are a joy to fans of retro style. Room spacious but dated in a less positive way than the common spaces but still perfectly acceptable.

General institutional attitudes in the staff who are more concerned about doing their jobs than customer service. This is particularly evident at the breakfast buffet where staff conduct restocking, staff training and cleaning seemingly oblivious to the presence of guests.

Spacious mid century modern resort hotel with many stylish original features. Excellent facilities including a beautifully maintained outdoor pool situated in spacious manicured gardens. Polite, competent and well coordinated staff. Guest rooms are large and well appointed. The breakfast is generous. Well located across the road from Praia do Ouro and with easy access to the huge choice of seafood restaurants that Sesimbra offers.

Getting from the west wing of the hotel to beach level is a bit complicated but fine after one learns the path.

Some update in general would be recommended and definerly a sgadow systemnin the car parking.

This hotel is an interesting place, the rooms almost spare in their decor. The entire place has the feeling that forty years ago it was THE place to stay, though now it feels a bit dated. The views--from every window--are incredible. The staff is extremely friendly. The bar and lounge area was my favorite part of the hotel; it has a nice vibe, comfortable seating that has gone out and now come back in style again, we spent two evenings there just sitting and sipping on hot chocolate. The location on the beach front is gorgeous, and it is also very close to the trailhead for the Sesimbra castle and only a few miles from the trail for Praia da Cabo Ribiero Cavalho--which is 100 percent worth the climb down.

The address on google stops you before you arrive at the hotel, which was confusing, and we got lost and climbed down an enormous flight of stairs before realizing our error and having to haul our suitcases back up. The hotel is undergoing some refurbishment, which it is due for, but that meant the indoor pool was not available. The hotel is old, and because of this has some quirks that at times I'll be honest, felt a little spooky. There is an energy saving component in the hallways that makes the lights go out unless someone is walking, but due to age or wiring, they are slower than a thirty-year wants to walk down a blackened hall. The particular location of our room at the very end of the hall meant that we often were opening our door in the dark because the lights hadn't quite caught up to us. The triple elevator situation was also quirky--and made going down or up to the beach a bit of an adventure.

Beautiful location overlooking the beach. Large terrace to sit outside room. Beds are comfortable. Easy walk down to the village where there are lots of restaurants. Buffet breakfast very good with lots of selections.

The location of the hotel in front of the golden beach is fantastic. Breakfast was good.

The room was extremely 'tired' and drab and the mattress and pillows were very uncomfortable. Our room was on the 7th floor just below the dining area and bar. It was very noisy late into the night..

Decoration is very simple and old, to eat at the restaurant you have to book in advanced even if it was empty, if you need a toothbrush they will charge for it. The outdoor swimming pool was kinda dirty.

Great location and the view from room was fantastic to be fair. Parking was easy and check-in straight forward. Big rooms and balcony.

Hotel well past its prime. Needs a serious renovation post haste. Gym equipment not working, furniture in general in poor condition. Musty smell. Breakfast was average.

Superb sea view as promised. Very comfortable, light and spacious room with large balcony. Good, generous breakfast. WE didn't eat in the restaurant but had nice, imaginative, snack meals in the bar. As well as swimming in the sea, just a couple of minutes away, we used the outdoor and (heated) indoor pools as well. Friendly, helpful staff everywhere. In addition, it was easy to find the hotel, driving in by car - signposting was excellent.
