We had a great time staying at this property over a long weekend. The lakefront location was great, and the house itself was spacious and clean. Communication with the property manager was easy. We would definitely stay here again.

The best part of this property is the location right on the water, with the included kayak, paddle boards, and life jackets. We spent time everyday swimming and playing down on the water. It was a blast! The home was perfectly adequate for our family’s needs, including a good number of bedrooms and bathrooms (it sleeps up to 10). However, the home is not really setup for groups in other ways. Most seating options are for 4-6 people, including the dining area only accommodating 6. The other major downside (and I’m hoping this will be remedied for future guests) is that this home is in major need of a deep clean and maintenance. There was everything from scuffs and carpet stains, to bugs and spiderwebs in the home, and even some broken and very old furniture especially outdoors. These things made our stay less pleasant but also posed some safety hazards, especially traveling with grandparents and young children. I think with some attention this home could return to the owners original intent, but it is in need of attention and we did not feel the value was accurately reflected in the price point.

We really enjoyed out stay at this home. This was a family vacation of all adult kids and their spouses - about 9 of us in total. This home has plenty of space, with multiple gathering areas to spread out and enjoy time together. We would have loved to have a large dining room table for us to enjoy meals together - but there is nothing except the picnic table down by the dock which still isn't big enough. Even if a large outside table on the deck could be added, it would suffice. There are stools around the kitchen counter that seat 6 people snuggly - but we needed more space than that. We LOVED the paddle boards and Kayak although this equipment needs to be updated - one of the paddle boards bends in the middle (maybe needs air?) and the other one doesn't have a fin under the water so it's hard to steer. The kitchen is not well stocked with tools and knives are dull for cooking with, but you can get by. One my favorite parts, which was not expected, were the beds. These mattresses were pillow-top and so comfortable - we all slept so well! Thanks for a great stay.

The property appears to be an investment property not a loved home away from home. Grass was not in very good shape despite the irrigation system. The boat launch on the property is basically unusable due to no good way to get to it. Lots of spider webs inside and out. Dirty windows. Several doors that lead to deck that are key locked or have sign not to use. Both the dock and deck could use some maintenance with rotten and split boards. The home is functional but compared to other lake norman homes we have stayed at this one just seems unloved. Location was good and kitchens large refrigerator was great.

Great house and perfect spot on the lake. Plenty of space to swim off the dock and a quick boat ride to islands and restaurants.

This home is everything we needed in a vacation house. I’ll do my best to remember all my pros and cons. Pros first, location, parking, lake access. I was a bit hesitant by the pictures of the kitchen island being the only table/eating space, but the island is huge. They had plenty of lake toys/floats and the accessibility to just walk in the water was amazing (just remember your water shoes if you don’t like to touch the bottom). The downstairs is huge and provides all the space needed for the teens/young adults. The stairs leading downstairs could use a hand rail though. One final pro is our shower head came off and maintenance was there within the hour and all things were fixed, i appreciate their timely manner and communication ease. Cons, bring your own pillows if you’re able. never could get basement tv to work (and there are 2 of them). None of the exterior doors in the bedrooms are allowed to be used, can only access back deck from the living room. There could a single larger trash can in maybe the laundry room, there is a cabinet with 2 small trash cans, but we found ourselves taking out the trash at least twice a day because the trash cans were so small. I saw this mentioned in maybe another review but be weary of the chairs on the deck, they lean pretty far back. There is a large heavy blue thing which appeared to be a planter on the deck but when we arrived there was trash in it. I’m out of space but would 100% recommend this home to others.

Our stay was lovely. Inside was clean, slightly older/ used. Could use more seating or table on the deck, with an umbrella. The chairs on the dock are treacherous. They are unstable and if you are older or injured, you probably shouldn’t sit in them. The kayak/sups/ floats were so nice to have. But they were so dirty that we had to clean them. The house had all of the necessities, but not an over abundance. We had pretty of space to store our own supplies, without needing to reorganize first. The house could use more drinking glasses. But does have over 20 coffee mugs! We enjoyed the lake and the house is nice and spacious. We did have one safety concern, which was quickly fixed. The beds were comfortable. Overall, it was a nice place to stay while we were in NC for our son’s wedding.
