No access to the kitchen

Probably my favorite place that I stayed in Colombia. Nice little guesthouse, with lovely ladies operating it, cuddly pets and dogs, comfy hammocks, and hummingbirds flying to the nectar. I even got a little goodbye gift from them (a handmade hair squanchy). Our room was really nice as well, very clean and spatious.

Room wasn't cleaned in 4 days, neither there was the rubbish bin emptied or clean towels provided. We had the staff do our laundry and it was supposed to be back the same day. 1.5 days later we had to save it from a storm during the night when it was drying on the rooftop.

Very friendly host, very very cosy shared area with hammocks, nice tables and chairs. Very nice vieuw. The owner has a lot of pets, it was very nice to have them around in the common area's. Good internet connection.

Make sure when it rains that all your stuff is up and away from the door. When there was heavy rain it rained inside through our door. The whole room was under water but we quickly cleaned it off. The room is very basic, no TV. The only thing that really bothered me was there was no closet to put our clothes in. We had to put our stuff on the ground or on the mini sofa and there is really so much space in the room to put one or two closets in. No hangers either..

The host was amazing! she was so friendly and warm. The room was bright and our balcony had an amazing view over Santa Marta and the sunset.

Very nice hostel in Minca, with two beautiful terraces and lots of animals! The people that run the hostel are awesome and will make you feel at home from the second you arrive 😌 thanks for everything guys…will definitely be back!

Wow, it was amazing! I really liked this place! The people here are very nice and helpful! I felt like home. It was one of the best places where I stayed while I was travelling! When we arrived, we didn't have to pay immediately. We could first go unpack, have a drink, go out for diner,... it doesn't seem like something special, but it let me feel like I'm not just a host where they want money from. You get what I mean? It was a warm welcome! Especially with the dogs and cats! They are so nice! The hummingbird-feeder is also a plus. You can see many hummingbirds during your stay, as they often fill the feeder and it seems that the birds really like this place too! The location is also good. Really close to everything, but far enough that the noise from the bars don't bother! We booked two nights, but stayed finally five nights, that says enough!

The terrace is beautiful - the view, the hummingbirds, the flowers, I was even lucky enough for a preying mantis to land on my leg. We absolutely adored the sleepy cats and Candy the dog. Rosario and her family are lovely and gave us nice coffee in the morning. We found the location to be great - very central in Minca but also away from the hustle and bustle. There is some noise at night from stray dogs as we have found in many places on our trip - did not keep us up. Room was clean and very comfortable, we had the balcony with a lovely view over Santa Marta bay. We had no trouble with mosquitoes or bugs at the accommodation but watch out for the sand flies when you are close to the river!! Thank you Rosario

Perfect stay, very friendly hosts. Clean cool room with a fan and a nice bed. And there are 7 very cuddly cats!

The fact that there was same room for the mosquitos to still get in the room. Also, a light above with the bed would have been nice.

The owner and her daughter are incredibly nice. I was ill during my stay. They made sure I had everything I needed and even accompanied me to a doctor. I was allowed to stay a few extra days, while the hostel was closed for renovations. The rooms are basic, but they have everything you need. I also really enjoyed the seven cats and Candy (the dog). There's lots of hummingbirds as well!

Amazing friendly family and a relaxing place with the cats, dog, hummingbirds and nice rooftop to relax. Feels like a family immediately when you enter the house. They're super helpful and love explaining you what to do and where to go in minca.

Hosted by a wonderful mother and son, the most friendly people in Colombia! Location was perfect, right in the centre of Minca. Loved sitting in the hammock and watching the hummingbirds. Very friendly dog and cats!

Very warm at night - fan was useful but there was a note not to alter the settings. Unable to stand up straight when getting in/out of bed due to roof height.

Strongly recommend

The family running Casa Chill Out are the kindest most wonderful people. There are several VERY chilled out cats and one dog that loves some fuss. Our room was spacious and clean and had a lovely view of town. The deck was a lovely spot to chill out at the end of the day and the hostel is in a great location to explore Minca.
