Downstairs bedroom has only outside access and you can only enter the home from the rear. Home is clean, comfortable and very well appointed. Please keep in mind that there are monitored cameras everywhere around the exterior of the home. One of my guests thought it would be interesting to cover one. I was contacted immediately after it was covered. If you don't mind being under constant surveillance, this is the place for you. Other than that this place is awesome. It's also an easy walk to the beach.

This is a great summer home stay set up for lots of outdoor entertainment. Home was clean, stocked kitchen cookware, soap, papers, toothpaste, and even booster seat. There was also board games discovered on our last day. The inside of the home is fairly small with bedrooms off the living area which is why say great summer home where the outdoor space can be utilized. What was disappointing was the pool and construction taking place upon arrival. I asked several questions about the pool as it was something we looked forward too the most. The pool was dirty upon arrival. And there were two large trucks installing fences at arrival. I reached out about both and asked at minimum if we could have both resolved. I was told to skim the pool which I did however I explained that there was debris at the bottom. NO one came out because I missed a vrbo message despite me asking from the beginning to have the issue resolved. Also some ho lw the desire to have a heated pool got lost in communication. I was later told to refer back to the listing where it stated it had to be requested in advance. So essentially, unlike other rentals where someone can come out to heat the pool, we were left with.the main attraction being cold the entire 4 days. That was a bummer. What could have been better was having someone more vested in the construction issue and pool. Perhaps asking for photos and then determining a way forward before simply stating to skim the pool. The bathroom for the jack and Jill room is small. The shower door and bedroom door cannot open at the same time. It's that small. It would be nice if that was larger considering that's a share bathroom. Somehow we did not realize one of the bedrooms is completely seperate from the main living area. It is on the side of the home. If you are traveling with a group of kids this could be an issue. Overall I would book again when the weather is warm assuming they have a better handle on pool cleaning and the construction work is completely done. The home has a nice cozy feel and great memories were made. The bunk beds are not the most comfortable but it wasn't unbearable. The house decorations are beautiful with amazing upgrades. Soft close cabinets, nice granite and light fixtures. As a home stager myself I was impressed with the overall appearance. Ohhh. The driveway had broken up concrete along the side and the landscaping was not done. Landscaping parts were flying into the pool.

We stumbled upon this property due to previously renting a beach home that was double booked... so we took a shot in the dark, being that there were no reviews and it was a brand new listing. We were so happy when we arrived. Allison was very detailed with providing lodging instructions/info and she informed us in advance that they were still working on the pool and hot tub, so while we were bummed at first, we weren’t disappointed at all when we arrived. It will be a great addition to the home once it’s all up. The place is really beautiful. Very good energy in the home. Plenty of natural sunlight, open design concept, the furniture and decor was comfy, cool and inviting and it was very clean - we never felt crowded even though it was 8 big kids to 5 adults. The big screen was perfect for the boys...they had a blast playing fortnite all night long. My son who was the youngest stayed tucked away on the top bunks - that was his favorite place. The location was perfect. We were one block away from the beach so it was easy and safe to walk there with the kids every day. There’s almost too much fun stuff to do with kids off the beach, so there’s no reason for anyone to be bored there. To be able to come to a rented home and not have any complaints was a real treat for me. Im very particular about cleanliness and lodging, so if I’m comfortable, I know everyone else is in heaven. Lol If we ever come back to SC, we will definitely check Holly Jolly Beach out again...my baby boy is still talking about going back to the “yellow beach house”
