Small but very cozy, clean and comfortable. It is a very cute, well designed space with all the amenities we needed.

Great property and location for accessing Bryce Canyon NP and Kodachrome Basin SP.
Provided amenities include healthy snacks and firewood and outdoor chairs/loungers.
Riverstone work in bathroom was beautiful but a little hard on feet. Bathroom was small is only drawback.
Perfect for young couples.

Like that it is a very limited occupancy property. Very quiet. It is unique with the room looking over the garden yard. The operator left snacks for us. We were able to communicate easily via email and texting options.

We stayed 3 nights during a visit to Bryce Canyon, Kodachrome State Park and Grand Staircase Escalante. We were very comfortable and enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

My wife and I stayed at Dixie's Walnut Tree Room for a few days in late April. Dixie's property was located in a quiet/residential neighborhood of Tropic, Utah. Grocery store, coffee shop, and local restaurants were all within easy walking distance which was fantastic after several days of driving and exploring Bryce Canyon and other nearby public lands. The room itself was very clean and had a really impressive bathroom and shower constructed from river stones, very cool :) The outside area was perfect for lounging in the sun, with views of the surrounding mountains and plateaus. This is really a fantastic place to stay in a town with all the necessary amenities for hikers and adventurers alike! Would absolutely recommend!

Beautiful room. Came in mid September too cold to sit out too late. Beautiful ride to Bryce.

Definitely a small room, but for us it was exactly what we needed. We only used it for sleeping since we left to hike daily. Bed was SO comfortable! Absolutely clean. Appreciated the welcome basket and restaurant recommendations. Had everything we needed in a modern but small space.

Loved the property! Bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean with nice tiled shower. The best part was the outdoor rockers and being able to sit under the shade tree and relax after a long day of hiking. I highly recommend this properly.

Pleasant, but read description carefully!
This property was pleasant overall, on a side street in the small town of Tropic. We enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and saying hello to the friendly goats and mule.
There is a nice yard with a variety of seats and a fire pit. However, you have to have your own starter material (or be a talented scout!)
We chose this over a hotel room because we wanted to be able to prepare food and eat at our stay. Please read the "kitchenette" description carefully -- what is presented is accurate, but we apparently didn't read it closely enough. There is no kitchen sink, for example. No toaster. It's basically a microwave, hot pot, pod coffeemaker and dorm-size refrigerator. Coffees, tea bags and hot chocolate are provided. Two mugs and two small plates, and a few plastic spoons. We ended up buying a package of Chinet bowls to microwave the soup that we had brought to eat.
The king-size bed is very comfortable! It does take up just about the whole room. We used the long bench for our suitcases, but that meant there was no place to sit in the room except the bed. There's a trundle bed under the big bed, but I don't know where you would put it!!
If you have mobility issues, please note in the photos that there is a pretty big step up to the bathroom. As a 65 year old, I would have loved to have a grab bar at the door to steady myself when stepping down from there, especially in the middle of the night.
Despite the issues, we had a pleasant stay.

For a single room, made good use of the available space. Bed was comfortable. Great proximity to national parks. No kitchen per se but has a fridge, microwave, coffee maker and electric tea kettle.

The room and host were great except for the misrepresentation of outdoor facilities. The pictures showed a picnic table as if one could sit outdoors there for meals and that was not the case. It belonged to another apartment at the facility and was not accessible to our rental.

Dixie and Mike were wonderful hosts. We loved our stay which was made even more enjoyable by Dixie’s suggestions on things to do in Tropic. Highly recommend!

Cute little converted artist studio.
Friendly host Dixie greeted us and was available to help with anything. The Walnut tree room we stayed in had everything we needed for our two night stay, while we visited Bryce Canyon, Kodachrome & Mossy Cave. Amazing views of Bryce canyon & a beautiful night sky. Dixie's attention to detail is unsurpassed. We can't wait to return. There's so much more to see & do
