We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Caledonia Bay.
Property was very spacious with a huge family room, good size kitchen and dining area, along with 3 ample bedrooms.
It was well cleaned and stocked with necessary essentials.
Location is close to perfect, about a 5 minute walk to the water and downtown.
Big Sur, 17 mile drive, all close by
The price point while a bit higher than other properties, is well worth it if you value size and location. If we find our way back to the Monterey we would strongly consider staying here again

This rental was perfect for our family of 4 for a 10 night stay. They had everything we needed (I love to cook so having all the kitchen accessories is very important!) and the location was perfect for daily walks down to the beach.

This is a spacious and quiet house in between Lover's Point and downtown Pacific Grove. The kitchen is well outfitted with lots of space and the bedrooms have comfortable beds. The living room has plenty of room for lounging in. The lovely little patio is too small for medium sized dogs to hang out in, so you can walk them over to a green space across the street.The hot water requires some adjustment in the upstairs bathroom, so you might have someone show you how.We loved the location and could just fit our van into the garage.

Our family of 3 stayed for a week along with our two small dogs and we had the most wonderful time! The house is in a fabulous location, across the street from a park (great for our 4 year old!) and walking distance to the beach and shops. It was very well-maintained, quiet, clean, and tastefully furnished. We would love to stay again!

We are traveling with our adult daughter and two teens and everyone loved the house. Two of the kids shared the twin with trundle bed and the other luxuriated in a queen bed and they all shared the downstairs bath,with only one fight due to half bath on 2nd floor. The 2nd floor was a really comfortable living room and a separate sitting room. Kitchen was central and we only cooked a few times but easy to use everything. Master was on top floor with a comfortable bed and soaking tub my husband said was great. The layout of the house encouraged interactions but also gave everyone space. Short walk to Lighthouse ave restaurants and shops and Lover’s point.

We had an absolutely lovely stay at the Caledonia Lookout - what a lovely home! Exactly as described, open and airy and amazing location! 2 short blocks to the fabulous downtown area with cafes and amazing restaurants, 2 even shorter blocks to Lover’s Point Cove and amazing walks on the bluff - sea otters everywhere! Highly recommended, can’t wait for our return visit

This home was beautiful and well stocked with everything we needed. It was a very comfortable stay and we felt very much at home. The location is incredible with a less than 5 minute walk to Lover's Point Park. The main living area is on the 2nd floor with living room, kitchen, and dining room. Two bedrooms are on the lower entrance-level and the master is on the 3rd floor. Pacific Grove is a dream and we can't wait to return. Will definitely book with Sanctuary again.

Great location, very nice house perfect for our family getaway. Especially enjoyed the coastal walk (1.2 miles to aquarium in Monterey) and being close to restaurants in Pacific Grove. We arrived at the Sanctuary Vacation Rental late at night and was pleasantly surprised that the house offers a private 2 car garage. Street parking is limited so immediately upon arrival, our stay became stress free. The house is centrally located, walking distance from the water and restaurants. However, a car is suggested to go to nearby Carmel-by-the-Sea and Monterey. The house is super clean and has all the amenities of home. The WiFi can be a bit spotty on the bottom and top floors but the main floor is fast and reliable. The grand room is spacious with a large-screen tv. The kitchen has all the appliances and cooking supplies you desire. There's a bbq on the patio but we didn't use it. FYI, we did contact the property management about the WiFi and they communicated immediately and offered to send a technician to address the issue but it wasn't that bad since we weren't home alot. I highly recommend this property and the customer service that goes along with the rental.

The home was in a great location with many restaurants and a local grocery and many shopping businesses in easy walking distance but still a private feeling to the home which overlooks a park. An entrance to 17 mile drive is close and it was about a mile to the Monterey bay aquarium with cannery row and 2 blocks to a wonderful beach and the lighthouse and monarch butterfly preserve is close.

There were 5 of us that stayed in this beautiful home. We were participating in the Big Sur Marathon and this location and home worked perfectly. The location is walking distance to lover's point which is relaxing and beautiful with good restaurants. The main drag of lighthouse Ave with shops and restaurants is only two blocks up up from the house.
Everything inside was clean, they left wine, cheese, and crackers, it was lovely. I had to contact them because we set off a smoke alarm with the steam from the shower and maintenance was fast and extremely helpful!!
Overall, great stay and we would definitely come back!

Nice clean place in good location. Well equipped kitchen, except for no kitchen knives and a bit awkward layout and cabinetry (like a small apartment kitchen). Knives were provided near the end of our stay, it was difficult to reach management. Our main issue was the furniture and bedding wasn’t comfortable to us. The king bed mattress was concave and extremely soft. All the seating was similar. At this price point, that was disappointing. We were happy our dogs were allowed at the house but it was a bit tricky with the lack of easy yard access, had to leash them to take them out (only exterior doors are in bedrooms that had our sleeping people in them). Because of the cabinets located in at the end of the garage, we were unable to use the garage, which was another benefit we selected this home for. Overall, this home seemed set up for online photos but not comfort.

The house was great - everything we needed for our stay. We were visiting for a wedding and had the chance to explore around Monterey as well. The house had plenty of space - great common area for the kids to hang out and for us to enjoy the fireplace. The location is perfect - close to Lover's Point, coffee shops, and a playground right across the street.

This house was great for our company's working retreat. Three of us stayed in the house while others stayed at a B&B within walking distance. We held working sessions in the large living room, and cooked one team dinner in the kitchen and on the grill on the balcony. Very comfortable and a great location.

A block from the shore and a quick walk to shops and restaurants, this is a great house with a big comfy living room and nice kitchen and dining setup. Playground you can observe from the deck is awesome for families! Would love to stay here again.

House was better than advertised. The location was perfectly situated between Lighthouse Ave and the ocean. The home makes you feel like you’re in a tree house. The family room is especially comfortable. Easy check in with wine and cheese. Only thing to note is that there is no door on master bedroom (it’s on the third floor). We would love to stay here again or at another property managed by this group.

We chose this property because of the location and bed sizes. We had two adults and 4 kids. The property was perfect, very clean, and well stocked. The location could not have been any better. The only thing I wish I had known is that the running trail was right there a day earlier.

Top Notch in So Many Ways!
The house, location, amenities and high-level of engagement from the vacation rentals team was top notch. A wide array of kitchen utensils for cooking and grilling, more than ample supplies of paper products for kitchen and bathrooms, a short walk to the water/beachy area, a short walk to the center of Pacific Grove ... everything was "top notch" and we would stay here again for sure.

May 2022 Stay
Great house for a family and friend Monterey long weekend. The location is ideal, close to the recreation trail and downtown Pacific Grove and a short drive to all the local sites. The home is well furnished and has a lot of natural light. Kitchen equipped to cook any meals. Would stay again!

Way to do the Big Sur!
My friends and I came up for the Big Sur Marathon weekend and we all enjoyed and loved our stay. Overall, the property was clean (save for a few ants but no biggie) and all the amenities worked well. We had enough of everything so no complaints. I have to commend the staff for being super responsive. For instance, we had a bit of issue closing the patio doors but figuring it out was as easy as reaching out to Barbara. Thank you for being super responsive. Also thank you for accommodating out late checkout - it is much appreciated. Overall, I give this an place and the staff an A+++ and will surely stay here again if we ever return. It definitely is the best way to do the Big Sur Marathon!
