The refurbishment of the room was really great! We really liked the full bath plus the sink and counter outside the bath. Helps us to get ready faster in the a.m. We also liked the entrance to the room from the parking lot spot right in front of our room door. The beds and pillows were good.

The hatch door in the ceiling above the closet was open when we first entered the room. My husband balanced on the chair with rollers to close it - not good! We had rodents living in our last home in the ceiling so it being open freaked me out. Those long tubular colored things sticking about a foot out from the wall in bathroom and main room also freaked me out. I was thinking cameras? all the while we were there. It is probably safety equipment, but gave me the creeps. Also, of six nights of hotel rooms on the road, this was by far the most expensive for only a room and small breakfast. Overall, I was pleased that the previous reviews brought us to this motel because it was clean and well appointed so don't let my couple of issues impact your decision, but I did feel they were important enough for the mgmt to consider addressing.

This hotel was the nicest hotel we have stayed at in a long time.The room was large .bathroom was large bed was great. What I liked the best it was a single floor hotel where each room had door to outside. And had parking for my little trailer. We would stay there again any time.

This place is a refurbished classic Motel and it is next to perfect. I mean impeccable (for what it is). Santa Rosa is a just a wide spot off I40, so one should not expect much. We travel west several times a year and stop in this area overnight. We were stunned at the cleanliness, the comfort of the beds made up with proper COTTON sheets (not slimey polyester). The beds are best in any place we have stayed from here to Flagstaff. The staff was excellent. We also travel heavy, so parking just outside our door was a blessing. This is now our new overnight station!

The refrigerator freezer was iced up and we could not fit what we needed into it. The breakfast was the generic stuff one always gets, which generally sucks (bad coffee, white bread, burp-inducing sausage), but all hotels are like that. They could do better by contracting the Mexican place down the street for some awesome breakfast burritos (the place down the street is really good). HOWEVER, the breakfast area was well presented and very clean.

The breakfast was average. Food offerings were typical. Location was good for our needs. We thought the room was clean, the beds comfortable, and accommodated our dog well. Staff was nice.

The toilet paper was difficult to unroll and flimsy. No extra blankets.
