We so enjoyed our stay! The cottage had plenty of room for four people, and we cooked in every day. The kitchen is easy to use, the screened in porch is divine and we really loved the fire pit! Highly recommend!

The lake house was the perfect getaway for our family. We take our grand kids somewhere every summer and this year it was Maine. The water along the pier wasn't very deep and they were able to play endless hours. The kayaks provided additional fun. The house is older and creaks with each step up the stairs. But, it gave each of us a bed and plenty of room to spread out. It is an older house but very cozy and welcoming. The porch was my favorite place for early morning coffee with the loons and ducks. We loved not having a tv. It forced our kids outside and to play with each other. The neighbors were a bonus. Visited with several and they were all a delightful group. Made us feel so welcome. Overall we would definitely return for a repeat visit. Good location to the coast, Augusta, Acadia NP, and Portland. Bonus a large grocery store just three miles down the road.

We spent a great deal of our stay on the enclosed screened in porch overlooking beautiful three mile pond. After a day of kayaking and floating it was a great place to sit back with a beverage and enjoy a meal, play some cards and relax around a table without any pests. The fire ring was also a nice gathering spot to watch some sunsets and listen to the Lois’ calls.

Super relaxing stay - we spent one of the 4 days in Augusta (competing in Ironman Maine) the rest of the time was totally relaxing just hanging out by the lake. Perfect spot to relax unwind and recover after a long race!

Cute cottage right on the pond. Went with my parents and children. Great area to kayak and the children had fun on the shore. The porch was relaxing to sit in and listen to loons at night.

Totally satisfied with our stay at this property. The house is charming and has everything you’ll need for a peaceful, relaxing stay on the pond. The physical property is stunning. There is plenty of green space as welll as a large sandy beach with dock access. The owners are extremely responsive and accommodating.. We hope to be back!

The house is situated on a picturesque and quiet pond. We appreciated the large screened porch overlooking the pond where we could enjoy a beautiful sunrise and overhear the evocative vocalizations of loons. We also observed other bird life including ducks, and perhaps a pair of eagles soaring overhead. The available use of kayaks was a welcomed activity. Daniel is a responsive host. We had a nice visit.

Excellent location and beautiful views
A great beach right on Three mile pond. The Screened in porch was great over looking the water. The owners were very pleasant and easy to deal with. We had no issues what so ever and the over all vacation was wonderful as a result.

More than expected
We stayed at this quaint lakefront home for 3 nights and it did NOT disappoint! Beautifully kept 3 bedroom home with more than you could need. Everything was clean. Lakefront view was breathtaking, and the lake access via the private beach was amazing for our young kids. We fished off the dock, and swam from morning to night. The area was quiet, and neigbors were friendly. Any questions had, Dan and Kandra were a text/phone call away, and were more than quick to answer. We will definitely be back!

Girls Kayak/Paddle Board Trip
This is a quintessential Maine lakeside camp which is exactly what the three of us were looking for. No big screen TV here. A priority was an easy in/out access for kayaks and paddle boards. The narrow beach could not have been better. We found the camp to be very comfortable (beds and linens) and accommodating (bring a hairdryer). During our 4 day stay we encountered swans, eagles, cormorants, ospreys, loons, a mama duck and ducklings, great blue herons, turtles, fish and even had a rainbow. I recommend bringing binoculars. There are kayaks with life jackets and various water floaties in the garage for guest perusal which is not mentioned in the listing. The location is perfect for sampling restaurants in Augusta for dinner and a day trip to Belfast. Unfortunately, at the time of our visit the lake was having an algal (algae) bloom which made the water cloudy green. This had no influence on our multiple paddles around the lake, but was not conducive to going for a swim. A few suggestions for the owners would be a bit more attention to cleaning. Some of the window sills had numerous dead bugs and the glass door to the porch was obviously visited by a dog with a wet nose :) A nice touch would be the addition of a guest book where visitors could write the wildlife they encountered and where. Guests could also suggest restaurants and day trips for future visitors. Daniel stopped by to see how we were doing and even mailed some forgotten items at no charge. All in all, we would definitely stay here again.

Cabin right next to a lake
Overall I agree with all the other reviewers regarding the location and condition.
I would like to mention the yard is huge and I can appreciate how much work the property must take to maintain.
This cabin's views are amazing all times of the day and night. We have never stayed this close to a lake before with such beautiful scenery. It was a very quiet neighborhood! It is THE perfect place to retreat from the everyday hustle and bustle. The cabin was clean with all the amenities a family could need. We highly recommend.

Amazing Maine Camp
Our family has been coming to Maine for years and this camp got thumbs up all around. The lakefront and beach were perfect with friendly neighbors and a calm atmosphere. For the house itself, the owners maintained the rustic charm that gives you a true Maine Camp experience. The owner was very responsive, giving us clear expectations for the house. A bonus feature is that it is close to one of the most delicious lobster roll places, The Red Barn in Augusta. There is very little light pollution so take advantage of some quality stargazing. Bottom line: if you are looking for an authentic rustic Maine cabin (aka camp) and a stunning lake with recreation, this is your place.
