House was comfortable with enough amenities for a short stay. Location can't be beaten.
The house can get extremely hot in warm weather. There is one small aircon in the loungeroom and ceiling fans in the bedroom. You need to ensure all blinds are windows are closed from early afternoon. Wifi would be a welcome addition.

cute little house for a little getaway from the city. very clean and comfortable. loved the books, games and dvd collection readily available for the kids to enjoy. would definitely return for a longer stay. two nights is too short

One of the best hidden gems we have found on Airbnb. Perfect location as it is only 5 mins from heads beach and the Swansea RSL. I'd highly recommend this place for families or anyone looking for a relaxing place to unwind. The owners are amazing & very accommodating, the beach house was clean and provided all the basics needed for our family retreat. Grandkids absolutely loved the tree hut and board games!

Close to the lake and beach and not far from Newcastle. Clean house and situated in a lovely quiet street

Location was good. Place was also good. Pretty clean.
Dorr had a digital key pad to unlock the front door. It took some time to get in as not all the digits displayed to enter the code. Also AC was not working. It had only the fan.

The location of Blacksmiths Beach Shack was perfect as it was walking distance to Blacksmiths beach. The house had everything we needed and is quite spacious. For us it was a haven after a day of surf life saving competition. Lovely and friendly neighbours and a really great family vibe. Would highly recommend.

Great location. Plenty of room. We only stayed two nights so we weren't there that much. I liked that the host was contactable when we couldn't get the door to lock.
The only thing that I didn't like was that there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom.

Great location - walking distance to Blacksmiths beach and the lake. Kids loved the board and card games in the house - they were not bored at any time during our stay at Blacksmiths Beach Shack.
