Very clean and comfortable, this was a perfect place for a friend’s getaway long weekend. Walkable to restaurants and the Cumberland ferry in St. Marys, a charming small town. We enjoy cooking and the kitchen is fully equipped to make meals. Every bedroom is en suite and has comfortable beds. The host responds very quickly to any questions you might have. Small touches abound, like an assortment of teas and coffees. We had a marvelous time despite being confined to the house by hurricane Debbie for a couple days of our stay, which speaks directly to how great this home is!

Our first time to the little town of St Mary’s was very pleasant. This was a clean, safe and well kept home. I would recommend it to anyone wishing to visit the area.

It was wonderful. Michele was very responsive. The property was beautiful and very clean. It's also close to downtown so you can walk to lots of shops and restaurants.

We have family in St Marys, GA so we went down for the 4th to see them. Everyone was jealous of this property it was very roomy, close to downtown, and perfect for watching the fireworks from. My father is 86 and my mom is 82, both walk with canes and had no problem with the stairs up to the front door. All 3 bedrooms have en suite bathrooms and one was on the main level which was perfect for my parents. This is a WONDERFUL place to stay and not have to worry about anything! We had to bring a second dog at the last minute and the host was very accomodating and sweet!

The property was just as in the listing. It was well appointed and well taken care of. Home was conveniently located as well. It was in a beautiful location. I would stay here again, should I find myself in the area again.

Dreamy location for our Girls' Weekend stay. Riverside in beautiful St. Mary's, GA. This house was an "oo-and ahhhh" experience for us. I believe 3 king en-suites is a rare find and we jumped on it !!! We enjoyed lovely sip and relax coffee mornings out on the kitchen level deck. We celebrated the river/marsh afternoon views each afternoon up on the top patio deck with our own birthday weekend Happy Hours. At the St Mary's historic district welcome center, we made a reservation for the golf cart tour of the town. We also planned for the ferry to Cumberland Island and the Land and Legacy van tour. If asked to rate this home and location....it is a solid 10 out of 10. Five stars out of 5.`

The house is big and beautiful. It was immaculate and just what we needed after long days. The beds were VERY comfortable and each bedroom was surprisingly soundproof. Will definitely stay here again on our next trip.

This house was super comfortable and fully loaded with everything we needed and then some. Many little extras! Beds were dreamy just like home:) Michele was very accommodating and in touch. The little town is adorable. My husband and daughter enjoyed fishing on the pier. We also enjoyed the local “eats”!

My husband had to work and I was able to walk downtown St Mary’s everyday and enjoy the stay. Beautiful home! Very clean and neat.

This place is absolutely amazing. Well equipped house, very luxurious and convenient. Plus they had bikes for your use. Close to ferry terminal and various restaurants. Host was amazing and friendly. Will definitely come back!!

Great place to hang out indoors with great AC & plenty of room or outdoors and enjoy each others company. We had family from NC, TX & GA.
Temp’s were too hot to go anywhere but the beach.
So we crossed over into FL for a day which was perfect. The house had everything needed to satisfy
Our stay. We had games to play, BBQ supplies & a fully stocked kitchen. All we brought was the food.
We had the peace knowing the owners were just a phone call away but were never needed. Highly recommend for anyone’s GET AWAY!!

If you're looking for a relaxing getaway in a clean, well appointed home-away-from-home this is the place for you. It sure was for us! Our wheelchair bound adult son loved the elevator ride to the main level, and we loved the view from the upper deck. Michele is a gracious and attentive host. We'll be back!

My husband and I were looking at a golfing trip to Amelia Island when this home came up on my search. I was instantly enamored with the photos, each bedroom prettier than the next, not to mention the outside spaces and that view! The bedrooms are all spacious and feel like a relaxing space to curl up with a good book. We loved sitting outside on the decks enjoying the cool breeze with the view of the marsh and board walk.
We started and ended everyday with a walk to the downtown riverfront park with our pups. Golfed at Osprey Cove and Laurel Island Links it was perfect.
Loved the attention to detail in this rental: snacks, spices, laundry and dish soap. Above and beyond most vacation rentals.
The owner is very attentive with excellent communication making sure we had everything we needed. Would highly recommend this vacation home.

Ward Cottage was perfect for us! We spent a long weekend in St. Marys exploring the area, along with Amelia Island. The home had everything we needed. And, the elevator was a necessity as one of us is has mobility challenges. We had the good fortune to borrow a golf cart from a local which was fun to drive and allowed for easier exploring. Everything is close. Would definitely stay here again.

Felt like home from the moment we walked through the door. It was so warm and inviting, decorated with a coastal feel that made you just want to stay forever. Home was impeccably clean, with absolutely everything you needed. The hospitality that the Ward family showed was above and beyond gracious and welcoming! They were available 24/7 to help with any needs we had. Locals we’re so friendly, just can’t say enough good things about the Ward Cottage! This rental is “truly” 5 stars in our book! What a beautiful spot! The view from the upstairs balcony was amazing. This home was perfect. 3 master bedrooms with the most comply king beds. The welcome basket and beer in the fridge was a great touch. Easy short walk to restaurants, waterfront and park.

Ward Cottage was a delightful gathering place for our family's Thanksgiving celebration. It was super well equipped and we were able to cook a wonderful holiday meal. It was a great jumping off point to visit Jekyll Island, the Okefenokee Swamp and, of course, Cumberland Island. Our host stayed in touch during a visit and was very responsive to our requests. We would definitely return!

The house was perfect for 3 couples, each with a private bath. The house was clean, well decorated and very comfortable. There was more paper goods, snacks and drinks than we have ever seen in a vacation home. Ac and Wifi all worked well.

We booked this property last minute to get one more long weekend away before the kids started school. Booking, preparation and check in could not have been better. Owner is very responsive and helpful. As far as location it was perfect. One of the few properties in St Marys with a water view. We walked/biked the entire weekend. Steps away from downtown restaurants/shops. Historic downtown is very small and there are some businesses that have closed but there were still 4-5 excellent restaurants and multiple shops. We were fine with it since we really didn't want to get in the car. Be sure to take the ferry to Cumberland Island for the day. It was a great day trip. There's also a very nice public boat ramp right in the middle of downtown if you want to trailer your own boat. We'll be back.

This property is immaculate, well appointed, incredibly supplied, and in the perfect location close to restaurants, boating, shops, museums, and local history. The hosts are attentive, responsive, personable and caring. We had a relaxing and fun filled comfortable stay and look forward to a return trip one day.

This rental was amazing! Plenty of room for my husband and I, as well as my daughter and son.
The beautiful deck that overlooks the St. Mary’s River was our favorite spot to enjoy the quiet scenic views while enjoying our morning coffee!!

We had a very nice time here. The place was very clean, beds extra comfy! The hosts even provided welcome snacks. Loved sitting up on the balcony looking out to the river. Nice central location to go see various islands. Would definitely stay here again!

A home away from home…
The house was even nicer than we expected. Thoughtfully appointed with everything we needed. It had all the comforts of home. The view of the marsh and river from the upstairs deck was phenomenal.
