Cabin is spacious in good location and accessible but definitely not very clean. Floors were dirty, There is moldy caulk in the bathroom. We had fun but I would not recommend this place with children.

We enjoyed our stay at this property and even had a couple of days of snow. The house was clean and well stocked. The host was very responsive both before and during the trip.

The house is nice. We loved the backyard, Kids had a lot of fun playing in snow.

Overall we were pleased with our stay. Everything we needed was provided including kitchen appliances and paper products. Thanks again for allowing us to use the cabin!

Great place for 3 adult couples. Lots of space for dining together or playing games.

We were looking forward to a much needed weekend retreat. The crispness of the air, the smell of the pine trees, and a cozy retreat. It was perfect and exactly what we needed.

This is a great getaway spot for those with a big group, a big family, or a small group who desire clean air and mountains. We really enjoyed the layout with a separate hangout area upstairs, the fireplace downstairs, the large deck outside, and a dog run area out front....plenty of room. We had some fun at a few local hangouts and some good food too!

The towels and bedding are nice, clean, and comfy. The host requires guests to wait for the washer to be done and transfer towels to the dryer before leaving. This planning process was kind of stressful as we had to plan for waiting time before exiting.

Our stay at the cabin was an enjoyable. It was clean, generally in good condition with a few small and easy fixes needing attention (microwave door handle was falling off, upstairs bathroom door didn’t lock), and in a good area. We would recommend and happily return.

The place checked off everything on our list - kid-friendly, dog-friendly, close to kid-friendly snow areas, fast internet, etc. But we were pleasantly surprised with close proximity to a very good local grocery market and full stock of kitchen wares and utensils. It made the stay much easier than we had anticipated with small kids. The little backyard was also a hit with kids - with snow and slight slope made for a great play area for hours.

We had seven people and felt like we had enough room. They mentioned a game table and that was not there. There was still two pool cues but no table. Otherwise it was as advertised. Beds were comfy. Kitchen well stocked.

The place was great. I came with my wife and adult kids also were able to bring our dogs. They even have a nice enclosed area out front for your dogs. The cabin was nice and cozy inside. There is lots to do close by. We will go back again when it snows!

Cozy and nice place in a nice and quiet neighborhood. Perfect combination for a short holiday.

Easy in and out for a stress free week!

We had a great time here! Close proximity to Stanislaus National Forest, local brewery, logging museum, etc. Short drive to Murphy’s. Lovely home, true to the listing (except no pool that we could see…) Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen, super easy check in process. Will definitely be returning, both for more hiking and maybe for skiing in the winter. Just lovely!

This is a great house! We had so much fun playing games and doing the cute cat puzzle🤣 Plenty of room for 4 people to have their own room and one dog. House was stocked with toilet paper and paper towels. Oh and thanks for having all the ice trays in freezer, that is a huge plus!😊 Thank you so much! We will be back!

This house was perfect! It is a great price and size, had everything we needed and so peaceful. The deck and outside fire pit were the icing on the cake! We will be back.

We had an amazing time at this cabin in Arnold! So many fun activities are included for the kids in the cabin and the fire pit was a hit in the evening! We can’t wait to go back!

The online listing depicted a spacious home in the woods. This house was cramped for the 7 of us. We were under the impression that this would be a secluded woodsy getaway with lots of land to explore. It turns out this is a neighborhood much like ours with streetlights and neighbor's houses outside of every window. There are even instructions on the refrigerator telling us to keep the noise level down because of the retirees in the community. The yard was small with unknown boundaries of what belonged to the neighbors, and it had litter in it. There were also 2 unmarked holes (5-6 feet deep) dug that could be a hazard if any of us fell into them. We were grateful for a place that would let us bring our dog. The fenced-in dog area mentioned in the listing was nothing more than metal gates blocking the porch entrance. The pool table/air hockey/ping-pong is a single miniature table that can be converted into 3 different games. This was the highlight of the trip for our children; however it was difficult to play properly in the cramped loft space with low ceiling beams in the way. We spent a day at White Pines Lake. The water was cold, murky, and filled with sea plants. When we tried to have a picnic there, our food was immediately attacked by wasps. The listing wasn't clear that this home has no air conditioning. It mentioned lots of places to visit nearby, then said that "Raccoon's Ridge" is not air conditioned. When booking, I didn't realize that this home IS Raccoon's Ridge. We did not sleep well because temperatures were too high and fans were loud. We have AT&T phone service, which did not work at all in this house. As a result, our communication with the owner was delayed by several days. I did appreciate that there were plenty of towels, dishes, seating and bedding. The kitchen and bathrooms were updated and well-stocked. It was good to have a washer/dryer available as well.

We enjoyed staying here! Great location to visit White Pines Lake, Big Trees State Park, Murphys, Mercer Caverns. Lovely property and we loved eating o. The deck as well as enjoying the fire at nighttime. Kids loved all the activities available in the cabin. Rooms upstairs and downstairs made it convenient to have the kids sleep up while adults slept downstairs. Highly recommend!

7 family members enjoyed the space and comfort of this cabin in the woods. We took easy day trips to White Pines Lake, Calaveras Big Tree State Park, and local shops. There is a market very near by, and the cabin is well stocked with cooking and eating kitchenware. Showers and beds were relaxing, and it was great to have a washer and dryer available. The cabin does not have a cooling system, so it got warm during the day. Luckily we were out adventuring during the day, and we relied on the cooler evenings to bring down the house temp. Great value for the price!

The house has fresh paint on the walls, pretty ceilings, very nice and clean beds, sheets and towels. I appreciate that the kitchen and baths were stocked with all the necessary items. If you are mold sensitive or dealing with mold illness, the windows are very old and we noticed some mold growth the insides of some of the frames as well as some water damage at the sills of some of the LR windows. The deck is in serious need of new wood and a paint job. I believe the owner intends to redo the deck but there is paint and wood chipping off, some loose planks sticking up, and the back steps are falling apart. There was a section of rotted out wood covered with sheet metal under the patio table that a person could slice a toe on. I was nervous for my kids and my pup out there. There is also a loose vertical support in the stairway banister, the one towards the top of the stairs. The towel bar under the window in the downstairs bathroom is broken and the heavy metal piece almost fell on my husband's foot when it fell off the wall. The outdoor fenced area has rotting wood and broken chairs. When we were there, the air hockey wasn’t working… the air coming out is too weak to push the puck anywhere. But we enjoyed the pool table and ping pong and other games. Once these safety concerns are addressed, it could be a very charming place to stay but seems like a lot to pay for a house with so much TLC needed.

We loved the cabin. Overall it was perfect for a weekend getaway with the family. Plenty of sleeping spaces for a family of 10. Living and kitchen was spacious and we enjoyed the outdoor dining space. We would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed our stay here with our 2 young boys during the Memorial long weekend. The property is located in a quiet neighborhood. The amenities are adequate and the beds were clean and comfortable. Many attractions nearby to explore. Overall, a great stay.

We all loved and enjoyed our stay! Perfect cabin feel with plenty of room! We love the area and went to the caves and other cool spots nearby. The high speed WiFi and the game table (air hockey/pool) are definitely a plus!
