Very cute, with lots of attention to details... even fresh fruit! Well stocked kitchen. Marcela was very kind and gave us her number in case we needed anything. The house is close to Curi-can ha, Stella's, and CASEM.

The uneven floor needs attention. There seemed to be hot water only in the showers.

Situé en pleine verdure, nous avons apprécié le calme . La décoration est soignée, très propre et très bien équipée. ( machine à laver). Marcella est très sympathique et nous a été d’une grande aide.

Everything. We saw more wildlife from this property than in the nature reserve! The welcome is warm, the bed is so comfortable. It’s peaceful. We had a lovely time. Marcella is just the most wonderful hostess. We had everything we needed. It’s walking distance to a fabulous nature reserve that does great tours.

Nothing, but you do need a car.

The warm welcome from Marcela who went out of her way to help us. We liked the facilities of our studio, including a washing machine and a well equipped kitchen for self-catering. The location was great, peaceful and a little bit out of the main town, very close to Stella’s bakery for a breakfast overlooking the monkeys, and just a few minutes walk from the Curi Cancha reserve.

Can’t think of anything! We stayed for one night and thought it was the perfect base to explore the local area.

There was no breakfast but it was close to a good casual restaurant (Stella) the kitchen was nice for leftovers and refrigerator. We walked through the woods to Stella’s and a grocery store. The hostess sent us pictures of where to turn which helped. Beds were good

We had to pay cash and the three ATM’s in Monteverde did not work . we found enough cash to pay.

This casita is super clean and comfortable. The host, Marcela, was incredibly friendly, helpful and very responsive to questions. We got lost on arrival because we only inserted the address but not the name “Monteverde House” in Google maps—navigation is tricky in Costa Rica. Marcela gave us directions and met us at the house to give us the key, help with wifi and instruct us on how to use the washer/dryer combo (bring detergent). The kitchen is well stocked with pans and dishes for 4. Coffee, sugar, salt, pepper and cooking oil, as well as bar soap and hairdryer were provided. The house is within walking distance of a good coffee shop and a couple good restaurants and art galleries. On our last night Marcela arranged a night tour at the reserve right next to the house (Curi-cancha) which was delightful and a bit spooky as we saw a scorpion and tarantula among the other nocturnal animals! I would highly recommend this lovely home and gracious host. If you are driving here you of course need a 4-wheel drive vehicle. Lots of steep uphill climbs. Pura vida!

My only suggestion would be to provide guests with a load or two of laundry soap.

I was delighted with this very quiet, absolutely charming little studio. It does abut another part of the house, but I don't know how much sound would carry because it wasn't occupied. I chose it for it's proximity to the Park and for it's washer/dryer, and was surprised by how absolutely pleasant it was. The owner is a gem, too, so welcoming and genuinely kind!

Beware of the driveway--pretty rough for a car with no clearance. Several driveways along the road make it a little confusing, but the owner walks you in the first time.

We enjoyed our stay here. Marcela is very attentive and a super nice lady. She was waiting to greet us as if we were family visiting. The place is very clean, comfortable, and attractive. The view and surrounding flora--absolutely lovely! We watched hummingbirds and agouti roaming about. It is conveniently located very close to the Cloud Forest reserve and within short walking distance of restaurants (Stella's restaurant is wonderful), shopping for souvenirs (CASEM), Curi-Cancha, and the Bat Jungle. Also loved the sweet cat there, our Gato for two days.

Shower was a bit tricky, and I was not prepared to pay in cash. It may have said so somewhere that I missed.

This was a great place, had all the amenities and was comfortable.

It was a little far from town and we didn't have a car but we managed to figure out public transportation.

Marcella was incredible. So knowledgeable about the area. Her recommendations were spot on and we had the most incredible time in Monteverde. She was helpful and kind. The accomodation itself was clean and comfortable. Perfect location. Would highly recommend

Quiet location with monkeys, racoons and toucans in the garden.

No hot water in kitchen, both hot and cold taps plumbed to cold supply. Electric shower had cables exposed which wasn't up to expected standard.

Really spacious, clean and had loads of facilities which were great such as a washer/dryer. The bed was really comfy and in a good location! Saw Agoutis in the morning and it's right next to the Curi Cancha national park. Hosts were very accommodating to us with our changed check in time too.

The shower head could be improved/looked at and it's cash only. That being said it was a great stay.

Immaculate, with a sunset view, secluded and snuggled up against the edge of the rainforest. Amazing personable hosts.

Nothing to critique.

The owner was very friendly and responsive before as well as during our whole stay (we could contact her over WhatsApp easily). We got a room upgrade from the 2nd night onwards, but also the less fancy room we initially booked was of a very high standard. The place is super quiet and comfortable.

The shower system needs some getting used to, but we managed in the end.

The location was nice and the little "house" was amazing. Big spacious rooms, very clean and neat and outfitted for our every need. The owner met us and was very helpful with recommendations to local restaurants, etc. She left us lots of fruit, coffee, etc. The sunset from this little hideaway was amazing.

Directions. It took us an hour to find the place after driving up and down the street, using GPS and stopping at incorrect locations. Finally, the staff at Stella's restaurant (immediately down the road called the owner and she met us). That was the only stumbling block-a sign would have helped immensely as it was a weaving of many little roads and driveways. (Hint, next to the dairy plant).

The house consists of 3 separate apartments, we had the middle apartment. The house looks new and it is very clean. Beautiful views from the terrace, including sunsets. We also saw some animals from the terrace. The owners, Marcela and David, are very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The Reserva Curi Cancha is in 10 minutes walking distance. Also several nice restaurants within 5 to 15 minutes walking distance. Recommended!

Sometimes we heared some noise from the neighbors (and the TV) in the other apartments. But when we asked them to lower the volume they did, and then we could sleep very well.

The house is fully equiped with everything you need. My girlfriend and me stayed only two days, however it is a good spot to stay longer term. The area is amazing and you literally see the monkeys flying through the trees from your little porch while sipping your morning coffee. We felt very at home due to the help and warm welcome of Marcela and her husband:)

We loved the size and look. It was the perfect place to relax and it was quiet which we loved. The place was super clean when we arrived. The host was super nice, welcoming and helpful. We would come back

At night it got a bit cold. Please note that the apartment is placed a bit out of town.

Great communication from the host. Very clean and comfortable place. Great for a weekend or longer.

Not really a dislike but more a warning as you do need a car, it's a 30 min walk from everything... we didn't mind the walk but for others they might.
