It exceeded every expectation

We had the best 5 nights at Quinta do Ourives, this is the perfect place to relax and recharge! Maarten & Elka were wonderful hosts, extremely friendly and always happy to give us great recommendations about the local area and things to do. The room was beautiful and clean, we loved having the private patio as well. Breakfast was delicious every morning, everything was super fresh and there was a really varied selection for all tastes. It's all very thoughtfully done, the design of this place is incredible and you have to see it for yourself!

Our stay for 5 days could not have been better. The breakfast was absolutely amazing, the pool area really spacious with Lots of sunbeds to choose from. We loved the honesty bar with different drinks. The room was well equipped and the patio with outdoor kitchen was a Highlight we used quite often. The wlan was fast and had a stable connection. Elke & Maarten are the perfect hosts and they do everything that you will comfy right away. We travel a lot, but honestly we could not find anything to improve.

Elke and Maarten were great hosts. Very friendly and they had fantastic recommendations for us, where to eat and what to do. We are glad that we met both, it was always great to talk to them. The accommodation is awesome. Very quiet, cozy, clean and comfortable. The pool is great. :) Loved it to swim there in the morning. The breakfast is also very good. The distance to the beaches, restaurants etc. is very short. You will need a car, but it is just a short ride. Everything is very close. We really enjoyed our stay, and we definitely are coming back. :)

For us- everything was perfect.

We loved, loved, loved this place. It's so peaceful and beautiful, but friendly and relaxed too. It turned out to be way more than a place to sleep at night: lounging by the pool, cooking in the private outdoor kitchen and chilling in the roo was the most relaxing time of our entire trip. The hosts are kind, helpful and friendly.

This was the best place we have stayed in on our 2.5 weeks trip through Portugal. The room was very clean, comfortable and the furniture was very nice. The outdoor kitchen attached to the room was very practical and equipped with all basic stuff you need for cooking. I liked the location a lot because we were away from the busy town Carvoeiro and it was very peaceful. Still, good restaurants are located in a convenient distance away. The water in the pool was pleasantly warm so that we were able to swim even in the evening when it got cold outside. They offered a wide selection on the breakfast buffet. The breakfast was very good. The whole property is designed in a very nice way and I was able to discover a new cute or "smart" detail of the facilities every single day. Last but not least, the hosts Elke and Co. were very nice, welcoming and attentive. I have learned from them something new about life in Portugal every morning.

The property is fantastic, really nice and comfortable. It got really everything you need to spend there relaxing days.

Maarten and Elke are such amazing hosts and made us feel welcome from the minute we arrived until the moment we left. They were extremely helpful with recommendations and any help we needed throughout our stay. The B&B itself is beautiful, relaxing and stylish. We wish we could have stayed longer!

Perfect hospitality from Maarten, Elke and co. Beautiful breakfasts (our 2 year old daughter especially loved them with a nice mix of healthy and naughty options, amazing pool, room was ideal for us - we were lucky enough to have the room with the standalone bathtub - with dreamy bed, two terraces, one with cooking facilities. Epic BBQ on Sunday night, well stocked and reasonably priced honesty bar.

We’ll be back for sure, can’t fault it.

It was not only the best stay of our Portugal road trip, it was even one of the best stays of our entire traveling history. It's really rare to have the luck of finding a place like this, looking authentic, having amazing and passionate hosts, in an even more beautiful landscape. For us, this was an incredibly nice stay, absolutely worth the money. And after all, we only regret that we didn't stay for longer. We will most likely come back!

I am a nature lover, and if there is one thing I could wish it would be more plants, like trees and bushes. But the Quinta do Ourives already did an amazing job for the fact that the place is brand new.

Fantastic spot! The place is immaculately clean, hosts are fun and welcoming - truly care about their guests. Many thoughtful touches like a welcome bottle of wine and homemade breakfast. We can’t wait to return!

We stayed at the quinta with our daughters of 6 and 7 years old. Booking the appartment was very easy with personal contact and Maarten arranged a rentak car for us for a good price with a local company. When we arrived we were welcomed by the owners the place just opened but was completely finished, high quality and with attention to details! It looks amazing! Large pool, nice lounge area with honesty bar and beautiful view. We stayed in the mezannine room with patio (and airco!) and it had everything we needed. Outside was a small kitchenarea with al the equipment to prepare a simple meal. Furniture in really nice style! The breakfast is outstanding; everything you can wish for and all fresh. Maarten and Elke invented hospitality; from welcome to goodbye and all the tips, arranged trips and good conversations in between. They arranged a bbq for al the guests when we were there. So while the kids were swimming together, the adults cpuld enjoy a good meal and a drink. If you are looking for a place to stay in the algarve, with a stylish environment and perfect service, this is the one!
