The place is exactly as I read on the past reviews, we booked knowing it needs some updates here and there so it did not bother us. The views from the apartment is mesmerizing, the beach is very very nice, we kind of didn’t want to go to any other beaches. The neighborhood is a bit catchy, lots of homeless but we had been to Makaha before so It also didn’t surprise us. But that’s only outside of the property, once you are in and at the beach, feels like a different place. One thing that really really bothered us about the property is that the couch has a really strong sweaty smell which we could not use it at all. I would recommend either cleaning it or replacing it. No ac, just fans. It was enough for us as we don’t use ac back home but just keep that in mind. We did come well prepared for the cons so overall we loved our stay, we would stay here again even though we would love some updates. Oh let’s not forget about the sunsets! Whew! Makes it all worth it.

We had a great vacation on Oahu with this rental as our home base. The view from the lanai was amazing! If you want to be far from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki/Honolulu (which is what we were looking for), then this is an excellent choice. We really liked the sandy, picturesque beach that we had access to right in front of our condo. It was great for relaxing on the sand, swimming, and snorkeling (we didn't snorkel, but others were). The unit was equipped with a decent amount of beach gear (umbrella, towels, flotation devices, snorkeling gear). The pool and hot tub were nice to have on site, especially for relaxing after a busy day out and about on the island. The unit itself was small but comfortable for two people. We appreciated having a washer / dryer right in the unit. We did notice that sound traveled through the mirrored wall very easily (we could literally hear conversations word for word through the wall). The only major complaint was the wifi - it was awful! Our devices (phones, ipad) would almost never connect to it. The host was good to talk to on the phone (directly), but wasn't very responsive via text (on the VRBO site). Everything went smoothly, but it would have been nice to have my questions answered via text without having to try and call. There are homeless in the area be we weren't bothered by them in the least. We always felt very secure in the building. The security and resort staff were very friendly and helpful. Mahalo! :)

I’ve stayed here a couple times. I drive the extra miles because I like the quiet area and west-facing beach. Property has brand new washer and dryer but really old screen door that needs replacing.

Previous reviews mentioned this unit is in need of some updating/ upgrading and this is absolutely true - don’t stay in this unit if you’re hoping for the four seasons. However, we didn’t pick this property for what’s on the inside, we stayed because of what’s on the outside. The beachfront view is breathtaking. The pool and hot tub are kept immaculate. The beach had fun waves to play in some days and calm gentle floaters others. All of the residents of the building are exceptionally friendly and welcoming. The unit had everything we needed for cooking. Several ice trays and an ice bucket where sufficient for our group of 4. The towels where largely on the older side but sufficient. The electrical outlets and lightbulbs decided when they did and did not want to work but we got by. The living room has a sleeper sofa and while the mattress is pretty thin it wasn’t too bad (most nights we were too dead tired to care what we were sleeping on). Plenty of space for 4 adults to sit and hangout during the bit of rain we got and brand new washer/dryer which we used A LOT and was great. For the price and the view alone you just can’t beat it. This community is a hidden gem 10/10 will come back to Hawaiian princess for every Oahu trip in the future.

Beautiful beach. Condo was run down. Only plug in bedroom wouldn't hold a plug. I then used the plug in the bathroom mirror and my plug got very hot so I ended up unplugging the microwave and using that plug. Condo included one broken beach chair,which was replaced by realtor when we informed them. It seemed like a lot of money for such a run down place but that being said we had a great time on the balcony and beach and it was a great ending to our trip to paradise.

The beach couldn’t be any nicer. The views are amazing. Beach seems so private and not busy at all. The unit was nice but needs some updates done. Staff was very nice.

The cute and cozy unit, the views, the employees, the sunsets, and the sound of the waves crashing at night.... Perfect!! I live in Waianae and this was the perfect staycation for me, my husband and my family who rented another unit at Princess. Mahalo to Ingas Realty. We'll be back!!

It was small and perfect for just me! I was part of a party and it was nice to have a little space of my own!

Property is great, security and everyone is so kind. It is kept clean and tidy all the time which is nice. So many regular visitors to chat with also. Unit we stayed in (603) was a bit dirty like their cleaning folks are being very over paid. Only half of the power outlets work which is kind of a pain. The ability to walk out to the beach from your unit is amazing, views are awesome and overall we loved the stay!

We would stay here again. The place was very clean. It is in a local area; not touristy. Excellent beach. The unit has everything we needed. As others said it is dated. The dated part is old cabinets and carpeting in the bedroom. There is tile in the main room, kitchen and bath. Great washer and dryer which we needed. All the kitchen items we needed and used. Beach chairs, umbrella and boogie boards are in the unit. Check in was facilitated by Jeannie using the after hours number. The email check was sent well in advance from a do not reply email and I do not know where it went.

View was fabulous. Even got to watch a turtle swimming around one morning. We were warned that it had not been updated. Didn't quite expect riped and qorn down to padding chairs. But we were warned.

I almost didn’t care that the toilet required 3 flushes to get anything down and that the room was in severe need of an update and deep cleaning because the view and beach is a 10 of 10. It is sad that the owners don’t take more pride in the room and invest a little tlc. Like I said, the view was beautiful and the beach a true hidden gem, but the room was neglected though there are nice rooms available (friends had one). If you stay in this location and this matters to you, make sure you find one recently updated.

I grew up here on the islands, and I’ve never stayed over here on this side, it was very nice! The property was just the right size for myself, my wife, and eight month old son. Thanks!

The property was amazing! We just went down the elevator and snorkled in the warm ocean on the beach below us! So peaceful and beautiful! The pool and hot tub were lovely too. The unit needed maintenance and upgrades, but why complain when you are right on the beach!

This was an amazing find, exactly what I was looking for, away from the craziness of a packed tourist city. The price with all the accommodations was very reasonable. The best part was the private, clean sunny beach/oceanfront. If your looking for a nice quiet getaway, this is the place.

We loved having direct beach access but know there is nothing else is walking distance and you will need to drive everywhere. The place is small and outdated, but everything works and it had everything we needed. Kids slept on the pull out couch bed and loved the pool downstairs as well. Everyone on the property was friendly and helpful.

The view and beach from the back deck and back of the condo are stunning. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about the neighborhood or the condo itself. The condo was marginally clean and quite a few things were broken. One small example was that the refrigerator had no handle. It had been broken off. Parts of drawers were broken as were counter edges and some of the electrical outlets did not work.

The view and sound of the ocean is priceless. That was the very best part of staying here. We even saw some sea turtles! The neighborhood is kinda sketch and there are a LOT of homeless camps, but the property is gated and felt pretty safe. Parking was ample. The place is pretty far from most of the “fun” on Oahu. BEDROOM: queen size bed was surprisingly comfortable due to the 3-inch memory foam mattress pad, sheets and linens were soft, and pillows were comfortable. Lots of drawer and closet space. Only downside of the bedroom was the window faces East and there was no curtain to block the early morning light. But you’ll probably be woken by the next door rooster anyway. BATHROOM: shower head was great with different water flow settings, lots of towels / washcloths and space to store your toiletries. The toilet flushes slow (have to hold handle a long time). KITCHEN: was adequate with the working stove, fridge, dishwasher and garbage disposal. However, some simple upgrades in dishware, pots and pans would make the kitchen far more user-friendly. WASHER/DRYER: this was a godsend to have. The washer is super small, and the dryer only heats on certain cycles, but it was great to be able to wash stuff during our stay. Bring your own laundry pods and pack 50% less clothes than you think you’ll need. You’ll thank me later. LIVING ROOM: The TV has plenty of cable stations, but watching the ocean was far more fun. The couch was comfortable, so was the couch bed. My son enjoyed sleeping on it. The kitchen table / chairs are rattan and pretty dirty. These should be replaced ASAP. Keep in mind the walls are very thin and the connecting wall to the next unit is just a mirror (locked) so you can hear every.single.thing that happens in each unit. PATIO: Basic furniture but quite lovely to sit out there to read and watch the ocean. The view was amazing. There are 2 beach chairs, a boogie board, beach towels, a really nice umbrella (but it was missing the pole/post to secure into the sand, so I had to hold the umbrella while in use.) OVERALL IMPRESSION: I gave this a 4 star because while it is dated and could use an upgrade, we were SO glad not to be in the cluster of and to have a place right on the beach in Hawaii for the price we paid was definitely worth it. We truly enjoyed our time here.

So the place is on a beautiful beach and the view is amazing. The location is a bit on the remote side but there is shopping a few miles away. The apartment needs updating. Everything inside the place is cheap quality or very old and dated. That said, I enjoyed my stay and would stay there again..

Nice safe gated building. Wonderful beach- it is steep going down to the water, but very nice. Nothing with in walking distance, need a car. The condo is dated but clean and everything worked.

The unit itself is not the highlight of the stay, but the view from the lanai and the beach at the foot of the building makes it all worth it! This was our second stay at this condominium property, and we love it. Location, beach, pool, Jacuzzi, bbq area... the condo amenities and the beach make the stay a great gateway from the hustle and bustle of the daily life. The unit itself is priced as one of the cheapest in the building, and that's fair. It appears it is managed by a reality group. The host Jeannie is responsive. We needed a cutting board, and it was delivered the next day. Shower head was broken, someone was there to fix it the next day. There was no wifi and she got someone to work on it. Took three days to get it going however. It is an older unit that have seen some renovations but could use some more. It has the bare minimum and there is nothing fancy about it. Other units make you feel like a home away from home or staying at someone's else place - cozy, cute, comfy, attention to details, etc... - This unit is more like a cheap motel room. It does the job, just don't expect anything more. Again though, the lower end nightly rate and the view make the deal fair. This was a late booking for us, so we took what was left available. We'll probably spend another $50 per night for a nicer unit next time.
