Really enjoyed our stay. Property was very clean and well maintained, and was exactly what our party needed.

We had a great time here. We are a family of five with kids ranging 3-8. The house was perfect. We didn’t even use one of the beds so it could easily fit 2-3 more people. The backyard is super relaxing and there are plenty of activities nearby.

We had the best time at this property! We had a cousin getting married in Bastrop and didn't feel like making the trek down from the Pflugerville area on the wedding day with young kids. We ended up making a weekend out of it and booked with another cousin and her kids. Overall we had 4 adults and 4 kids. This house was really perfect for us. Our older boys (7yo) had a blast playing in the "boys room". It was so nice to have a VRBO truly think about and cater to families with kids. The toys, the video games, the foosball table....everything was a hit with the kids ranging in age from 3 to 7. They explored in the woods, played on the hammocks, etc. We dropped by the lake on the way out. Our boys are already asking when we can go back. I also didn't realize how charming Bastrop is. Great house with great hosts who truly thought of everything. Loved it <3

Easy checkin and checkout. Great location - close to downtown, but feels secluded and relaxing in the forest. Lots of natural light. Very clean and spotless. Nicely appointed amenities for guests. Loved the binder with instructions and local recommendations. Decor was lovely as well as functional. Would definitely stay here again!

I found Camp South Shore on VRBO while searching for a place to stay during the US Grand Prix. What a great find. The house provided a perfect retreat from the hot and hectic days at the races. Beautiful tall pines shaded the property and we found it very relaxing to unwind from the day. We enjoyed local eats and drinks in Bastrop and enjoyed a few hikes in the park before we left. The house was clean, spacious and Sara was a great host.

We had a really relaxing time spent with our adult children. Especially loved the hammocks and backyard. Really cute house with lovely decor and plenty of space for us all. Would recommend whole heartedly.

Property was just as decribed! Wonderful area and was perfect for our golf trip. Also very close to Austin for day trips. Host was very attentive to messages and made sure we had all information needed for our stay. Definitely recommend and will stay here again if possible

This beautiful and comfortable house surrounded by pine trees provides a wonderful escape from busy city vibe but is still very conveniently located to any thing you might want or need. So peaceful and relaxing. Plus, the Cowboy pool provided an easy way to stay cool during the extremely hot weather. Would love to visit again one day!

This property was perfect for my family and friends. We brought out kids and they really enjoyed the inside and outside of the house. The game room got a ton of use, as well as the fire pit and stock tank pool. The house was very clean with everything needed for our young kids. We would love to stay here again!

Great location to parks and City of Bastrop. Lovely house and the pool is great for hot summer days! Only comment would be to get back deck feet friendly as it has a lot of screws backing out otherwise the place is a win!

Just what we needed! weekend getaway with my brother and sister-in- law. Wonderful in every way! House cheerful,perfect layout with everything! Pool was so fun!

As parents of two children, we loved both the location and the toys and activities for the children and adults. Wish we could have stayed longer to fire up the fire pit but overall a good stay.

Really enjoyed our stay! Spend time visiting my grandson and family. The game room/ play room was awesome! House was yvety kid friendly. My daughter loved the lay out,color scheme and decor. The rain made it tough to enjoy the out door immunities, but the coziness of the home made up for it! Have marked as one of my favorites in the area. Will definitely use/ stay again.

My friends and I came for a girls weekend and had a great time. The house was clean and beautifully decorated. I had a couple questions for the owner prior to our visit and they were all answered promptly. Very close to downtown Bastrop and the South Shore park but it felt cozy and private, plus we enjoyed the stock tank pool and fire circle. One thing to note (because we didn't realize before we arrived), there are two bathrooms, but to get to one of them you have to go through the main bedroom - so that person has to be willing let others through their room OR all other occupants of the house are sharing one bathroom. This wasn't a problem for our group, but I thought it was worth a mention.

Very tidy and clean property with a great fire pit setup in the backyard. Nice assortment of games, including a cornhole set. Plenty of room for parking several vehicles out front. Overall lovely rental house.

Perfect place to share family time with my mother fighting cancer and healing from broken hip. This comfortable home was spacious for our one day visit with them. We loved the private, woodsy property and a lot of parking space. It rained during our time there so we didn't get to enjoy the large backyard viewing the woods. The home was relaxing, good lighting throughout, and well stocked. Towels are soft and beds were comfortable. We wish we had better luck and have missed the rain so we could have enjoyed the beautiful backyard. Great stay!

Such a comfortable home to stay in. Very clean and all the amenities you would need. The cutest “retro” refrigerator. It was perfect for our family of three, but larger family may want to bring ice chest for extra drinks and such. Hammocks, fire-pit, “Cowboy Pool”….I want one ! Great Tv’s. Comfy beds / linens / large laundry room. Owner very responsive. Definitely recommend staying at here.

Annual father and son trip out to the Lost Pines area near Bastrop. Nice upgrade from the cabins at South Shore Park where we have stayed in the past.
House looked just as good in person as in the photos which is not always the case with vacation rentals. Backyard is super relaxing. Got to see a mama deer and her two fawns as well walk through.
Very comfortable and very clean. Great sheets and towels. Comfortable beds and couches too.
Loved the giant Roku tvs in each bedroom, USB chargers by the beds and cold a/c. Also played a lot of foosball which was fun. Great game selection too.
Only a couple negatives which were minor. Didn't mind the size of the fridge tho it is rather small and has been an issue for other renters. Took about 6 hours on high to chill our drinks which was kinda annoying. Bring a big cooler of ice for your drinks and you'll be fine or just wait like we did. Scott toilet paper is my other gripe. I despise it. Bring a couple rolls from home if you care about this.
Overall, it was a great little trip before school started and I would definitely not hesitate to return and stay here. We loved this house.

We were able to catch up on laundry and the backyard is perfect for relaxing under the pines. I would suggest a few more window coverings for all windows. Especially the bunk room door. It has a bright light that shines into it. I would agree that you may need a cooler for drinks etc if you are a larger family. Highly recommend this property!

Amazing Place
Staying in this house was like living in a paradise, my family and I had a great time, we came to Austin for our daughter's graduation from the University of Texas (UT). The house is super impeccable, everything super organized, you will get shampoo, conditioner, cleaning supplies, super clean towels, in short, everything in its place, you will also get an iron and its table, a hair dryer, in short, a cozy and extra clean place . The place where the house is wow! Speechless! It's like a photo of those places that we only see in magazines and that we don't believe exist!
There were 7 of us plus the pet. once again it was a pleasure for my family and myself to be able to have the joy of having been in this beautiful place!
As for Bastrop, it is a beautiful little town, we had the opportunity to go to the state park and also to Bastrop Lake where you can swim and rent a kayak! We had a divine time. In short, if we have to return to Austin and want to stay another weekend, we would not hesitate to contact Sara to be able to enjoy such a wonderful stay again.
