Good location. Clean. Excellent breakfast.

Location is excellent, right in front of harbour. Only 5min walk from Olavi Castle. Very friendly staff and overall a pleasant stay. Value for price is excellent.

The room was rather hot and airless. The fact that there was no air conditioning in the hotel (except for mechanical fans), and that only a small section of the room window could be opened (and thus the room couldn't be properly aired even during the night when it was cooler), made it a problem during the hot summer weather.

Staff and breakfast was top notch. Hot room as expected but luckily it wasn't hottest month. Motorbike boys motoring outside as promised in reviews, no surprise there. Overall little expensive for quality but i was so happy about that breakfast so a let it slide.
Never back to Savonlinna though, bad experience with covid denials in fancy pizzeria close by, that ruined totally our Savonlinna experience. But that has nothing to do with this hotel.

Good breakfast and a great location.
The room was very hot (No AC, only a fan) and we couldn't really keep the windows open during the night, because of the surprisingly busy traffic.

Location and nice staff.
Location was perfect, right in the middle of the city. Hotel is old and even the room (pets allowed) was ok for a family of four. The big minus comes from the lack of air conditioning which would be needed in the hot summer like this.

Location was excellent - basically at the harbor from which Saimaa cruise ships were leaving. Staff was also very helpful. Good breakfast
Price was ridiculously high for what hotel was offering - rooms were worn, furniture was straight out of 1980s , there was no air condition in the room and you could open only tiny part of window. Fan which was provided did not offer too much relief as there was no fresh air coming to the room. Generally hugely overpriced - I do understand Savonlinna is popular holiday destination but hey 160eur for room without airco and old furniture is simply a joke. There was not even complimentary bottle of water - we had to get one from reception @ 4€ a bottle. I strongly DO NOT recommend this hotel.

The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was plentifull, even I suspect it remains exactly the same each day (I ate there twice). The location is suberb and even it is in the main square it is quiet.
The price of 65€/night is definitely the tops I would pay for this. Everything is outdated & yet to be updated. The room got very hot as it lacks aircooling.
