Wonderful Stay and accommodations. Had everything needed for the stay (except an operational can opener, which I purchased). Clean and quiet. The Lei Lei's restaurant was right next door and very good. Some work could be done to the cupboard doors in the kitchen as they were askew and didn't close easily.

We only stayed one night instead of the 2 nights booked. The place was dirty, wifi not working or very slow. TV and tape player are antiques....should be replaced with current type of TV/DVD player. The tape player didn't even work...tape stuck in it. Toilet not working properly, fan in bathroom needs to be replaced. Mold on was raining and my husband slipped...should be power washed. Someone was parked in our parking spot when we arrived. Kitchen cabinets did not even shut properly. Dish machine broken. Would not recommend this property to anyone.

We had a horrible experience. the ac in the bedroom was leaking and the water reached the rug under our bed then one of the bathroom was clogged. we called the after hours emergency but that was no help, could not help us until the next day. I think someone showed up around 11:00 am the next day. very uncomfortable and dirty. the owner should put some money in that place and fix it up a bit.

Well kept and comfortable. Definitely an affordable alternative to staying at turtle bay resort itself. Only suggestion would be to advertise the fact there is no wifi, but we were satisfied overall. The staff were very helpful, thanks.

smells old and dated

My wife and I had previously stayed in a turtle bay condo that looked very much like the hula house picture, so we thought we were getting a good deal on a decent 1br. This was not the case at all. We were very dissatisfied with the Hula House. The unit smelled of must and smoke, and the smell hit us in the face the moment we walked in. There was no television in the bedroom and the tv in the living room had 3 channels. Additionally, the dvd player provided was broken and there was no Wifi. The house also looked awful. Cabinets were chipped and doors wouldn't shut, etc. We originally booked 7 nights in this unit, but left after the first night as the miserable room was ruining our vacation. When I called to complain about the smell and ask to switch rooms, I was told "That is our budget unit." I understand a budget unit having little to no amenities, but there is no excuse for smelling terrible.

I did want to at least mention that while I would never stay at the hula house again, the management company did help us move to a better room that made our stay amazingly enjoyable. For the most part, they were reasonable, but I do feel I was a little scammed. The picture provided is NO representation of the actual unit. They charged us for the upgrade which was disappointing, but I would have paid just about anything to get out of the **** of Hula House! The room we ultimately spent the rest of our vacation at was perfectly nice and we had a great time. But stay away from Hula House or any other properties within this price range managed by the Estates at Turtle Bay.

Gave the stay a 2 for the responsiveness of the Management Company and the price, but the owner really needs to spend a little money on the unit. Cabinets are particle board and one cabinet door fell off when we opened it. The shower in the master was unusable as the surround and curtain is unable to contain water and the only A/C unit in the bedroom leaked water onto the rug under the bed (smelled mouldy). The unit was not very clean as the slats on the closet doors were coated in dirt and the screens had spider webs. The unit is in a good community at Turtle Bay and sits on the golf course. Nice little beach at the resort and excellent food at Roys and Mai Tai's at the resort's poolside bar. The property management company was very responsive and brought extra towels for us to sop up water the next morning. They also continued with follow up. Good we were only there for 3 nights.

I chose this unit for its' price and so I will say that it served its' purpose. It was cheaper than staying in the resort and convenient to my family who live on the North Shore. However the bed was so hard, that I slept on the couch 3 of the 5 nights. The cabinets are in need of upgrading or repair as most did not close completely.

The place is basically falling apart. The kitchen appears the original kitchen from when it was built in 1930! Appliances and utinsils hardly work. The TV is a ridiculous box TV that doesn’t even have cable channels. It must be the oldest most outdated condo in the entire complex. And you have to drive opposite direction of the airport to drop off the keys to the offsite management co vs just leaving the keys in the unit. Such an inconvenience!

great place to stay on the north shore the management were very help full and friendly
you need to have a rental car to get about, close to farmers market for fresh produce the pool and barbique area is nice i would recommend this unit and the resort

The Hula House was clean, I'll give it that, but otherwise, somewhat disappointing. The entire unit smelled musty and old. Not surprising since there is a single AC unit for the entire apartment that is located in the bedroom at the very front of the condo. Needless to say, the cooled air did nothing more than slightly cool off the bedroom. The remainder of the unit stayed warm and humid. The bed was probably one of the most uncomfortable, firm mattresses I have ever slept on. The furniture was incredibly old , falling apart, and not working correctly. The toilets did not flush properly and the toilet located in the bathroom in the bedroom leaked every time it was flushed. The front cover of the dishwasher nearly fell off the first time the washer was opened. Pretty sure the hot air from the dryer cycles right back to the top of the dryer and into the condo, which combined with the lack of AC, led to a particularly tropical environment inside. Oh and did I mention there's no Wi-fi?!?!?!!??!? How is that even an option these days????? My advice to you is, spend the extra 10-20$ per night and avoid this old, dying unit. We saw the inside of several of the other condos and it was a night and day difference!

I am actually really pleased with the condo. It was clean and spacious. The price was fair. We originally chose a different condo, but due to a refrigerator issue, we were relocated. We arrived after hours and there was no problem getting in. Instructions were simple and things ran smoothly. I would come back and stay here again. It was a nice weekend get away.

Turtle Bay is a wonderful place. The management company here was horrible. Called them 5 days in a row to fix air conditioning. It was fixed the day before we left with no compensation. The manager never returned any calls and was never available.

In general it was a very quiet, restful and relaxing weekend, away from the everyday normal house chores, work, busy, hectic life style.

Great location for golf, just next to 2 good courses.
Whole renting process was very well orchestrated.
Price was good for the amount of time we spent there.
The condo is dated, needs a lot of work, there were ants everywhere, no A/C in the main living area except a small wall unit in the bedroom, but for the price I paid am happy. We were able to cook all our meals and saved a ton of money compared to most Hawaiian vacations.
The house gets really hot and have to leave the doors open to get a nice flow of air.
No big hotel amenities here. Just down to earth place to crash and cook nice meals.

I had good time and had rerax

The house is well decorated, but really old. We asked for maintenance twice in 3 weeks. The kitchen cabinets are falling apart and is necessary to be replaced. The baseboards are full of termites. And the kitchen smells like cockroach, and there is some of them living inside the cabinets. The bed is the worst, me and my husband had a lot of back pains during the stay. It’s a nice place to stay, but I don’t recommend nobody to stay there, unless the owner renew the kitchen cabinetry, changes the bed and solve the cockroach and termites problem. The management company was very professional and agile, so I’ll probably come back, but in another property.

Everything was great from check in to check out, super smooth and easy process place was amazing! Loved how it was available at short notice.price was super worth it

There was a smell in the cond and the toilets would keep running every time you would flush them if you didn't remenber to click on the handle. Over all a great value for you buck.. Thanks Karen Tooke

I always enjoy staying at the Turtle Bay Condos. I will say this time the condo had a smell I think from the kitchen cabinets. the AC was very noisy but overall it was okay. Also the dryer broke and the coffee maker broke but there was an extra coffe maker in cabinet. No extra dryer

The rental agency is great, nothing against them.
There are 2 wine glasses. One normal size, one child sized. I guess if your child needs wine they got you covered. If you like dead bugs, you can find them in the drinking glasses. The towels are new and fresh and you need them to put down to sit on the couch and chairs. You get the idea.
For a budget it is fine and livable, for a relaxing vacation you may want to think about another unit.

The condo was spacious and well equipped. It had easy access and specific parking spot assigned. The view of the golf course was beautiful. There were very nice neighbors too. On the negative side, the owners would not make their Wi fi available and most of the cabinet doors needed adjustments with new hinges. We enjoyed our stay.

Unit in great location. Updating a bit needed. One could not ask for more at the price. We would probably rent this unit again.

we were happy with everything and felt very well. It was clean, nicely decorated, beautiful view from the terrace onto the golf course. We booked twice, once the hula house, once guava, both were great.

Very enjoyable. The unit was perfect, size-wise for my wife and I. Cozy, clean, very nice west-facing view of the golf course, hence nice sunsets. Quiet too. Very nice experience. Only complaint: the pool was unheated, and c-c-cold (it was November too, and unseasonably “brisk”).
