Stunning hotel, beatifully deocrated and very well maintained. Rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The manager was very responsive on whatsapp but we did feel like we had to constantly message her to ask fr anything like pool towels or an iron. Facilities were all readily available but had to be requested.

For our purposes, location was not great to drive to surrounding towns. The town it is located in, Manduria, is lovely and has great restaurants but there was nothing to see there so we had to drive 30-40 mins to see other towns. We had a negative experience when returning to the room from the pool to find the owner trying to enter our room - he said it was because the air conditioning had been left on (which it hadn;t) but it left us feeling uncomfortable.

The garden

This is a beautiful property but it is sadly not renovated to high standards and not run well. At 370€ per night, it is overtly overpriced for the quality of the rooms and the service provided. It certainly does not deserve 5 star rating on booking.com. Our room was a good size room but bathroom was tiny and the wardrobe was too small for three people. The bed was also uncomfortable and one of the children’s beds was so creaky that it was practically unfit for purpose. The air conditioning in our room was not functioning and it produced strong smell of damp. The rooms were not cleaned properly and we had to fight to get towels for our son. The owner and her staff which included the “property manager”, one cleaning lady and two people serving food were unaccommodating and unprofessional. We had breakfast at the property twice which was not great and both times we were told that there were not enough eggs for all of us. In the evenings, if we had drinks by the pool we had to clear up after ourselves because there were no serving bar staff. Also we were made to feel that our children were not welcomed at the property. The owner explicitly stated that she does not want “many” children in her property and she asked us to tell our kids to keep quiet and avoid running. We had to cut our stay short and relocate to another property which was a traumatising experience as the owner tried to charge us for the whole week despite agreeing to let us check out after two nights. This was the worse experience we have ever had using booking.com.

We were blown away by this hotel. Very unassuming. Small staff team, 6 rooms. A hotel owned and run by Elisabetta and her husband, Paolo. Very personalised service - they message you asking when you will arrive, have breakfast, etc. - it's because they want to make sure everything is taken care of for you. Beautiful rooms (beds were SO comfortable), delicious breakfast (cheese, meats, fruits, etc.) and coffee, gorgeous gardens and pool. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area - amazing spot to base yourself.

No ironing - had to get your ironing in to them at the start of the day, and we only arrived later. There was a bit of miscommunication, but they managed to get it done for us - they take it offsite. Would highly recommend that they get an iron for the hotel.

Beautiful and plentiful breakfast. The rooms were decorated and restored to a high standard. Fabulous bathroom, comfortable bed, quiet location with a lovely garden and pool. The host and her staff were very welcoming.

The property is a beautiful old Kellys. It has been restored. I’m in a very classy in Marine Way for modern use for today’s use. Staff were lovely.

We asked to drop our bags early so we could head out, and were later charged 50eur for early check-in without notice. Breakfast was also very average without much selection.

The palazzo has been beautifully renovated about 3 years ago. Our room was very large and comfortable. The garden is a corner of peaceful paradise in the center of Manduria, with a swimming pool nestled in the green where we could relax and enjoy the sun. The food, which is made by them with regional products most of the time picked up directly from their garden, is delicious ! I’m from this same region, so I’m very picky, but every morning I looked forward to breakfast for their homemade pastries and freshly squeezed juice. Last but not least the staff who was always super welcoming, available and smiling. We truly loved our staying at Palazzo Elisabetta and we will definitively go back when we will be in the area.

Unfortunately cleaner did not clean our bathroom / provide fresh towels on our first day. This is very particular but every coffee I ordered was lukewarm and would have been perfect if served hot.

Wonderful and genuine staff. Rooms are beautiful inside. Breakfast is quaint and fulfilling.

No fan in our bathroom made everything very steamy and the towels didn’t dry. However, the staff were great and gave us new towels when we asked.
