Centrally situated. Friendly and helpful staff. Decent sized bedroom and bathroom. Large and comfortable bed. Weather cold but room warm and cosy.

Bathroom a bit tired - couldn’t flush loo properly (mechanism broken) and basin tap falling off. Used ashtray in room!

The manager was really helpful , can’t remember his name but I was worried about leaving my tools in the car overnight because I didn’t know what the area was like but the manager let me store them in a little room downstairs that no body used and it gave me piece of mind that my tools were safe.also the chip shop called the fisherman’s rest is really nice and there’s a decent barber right next to the pub

the room was fine. when we arrived we had to phone a number for someone to come and check us in. had a 4 and half hour train journey and went to the football on the night so being a long day i decided to go to bed at half 10. got in my room the floor was viabrating due to the karokee down stairs got in bed the bed was the same and even though im partly deaf i could still here the music blazing

This is the worst place we have ever stayed in!! We had to walk through the pub to collect our keys and were given room 2 which is classed as a suite. We had a bath towel each but it would have been nice to have a hand towel for just drying our hands. We didn’t have a shower due to the black that was in it, we tried to wash it off but there was no budging it. The sink was not much better and we would not have used the cupboard under the sink due to The stains in it. There was a dead fly on one of the window sills and stains on another which could easily have been washed off. The extension lead for the tv and kettle would not lay flat and was just hanging down. One of the drinking glasses had lipstick still round it so I decided to give it a wash in hot water. I left the hot water tap running for a good 10 minutes in to the sink and it was still cold so I had to heat some water up in the kettle to clean the glass. On arrival we were told that Friday was karaoke night but unfortunately room 2 is directly above the bar so once the evening started that was our peace shattered until the music finished at 12.20 am I will upload a video of the sound we had to listen to. As our room was above the main entrance doors to the pub once everyone had left they loitered chatting outside which then went on for another 45 minutes. This was not the end of the noise as at 1.30 am a male and female in the room above us decided to have a full on row for the next two hours. I don’t know for sure but we got the impression that it was someone from the pub as the lady was not happy about being taken advantage of with her work shifts. The nearest car park to the pub is a short stay with a maximum of 4 hours so we had to park in a long stay which is about a 10 minute walk to the pub but here we could only book to park for 18 hours so this meant I had to go and move my car at 7.45 am which was not an ideal time considering the lack of sleep we had that night. I could go on…………..

Great value for money. Staff there are so friendly and make you welcome. Breakfast is fantastic and sets you up for day. When we go to Sheerness again will definitely stay there.

Room smelt of cigarettes. Only Netflix worked on TV no other channels. Shower over Bath didn’t work properly towels were very old & rough. Overall decor very dated.

Lack of car park

Location was good and easy to find. Good size room. Tea, coffee and bottle water was good.

Not enough pillows. No duvets or blankets in the room, only sheets on the bed. Main light did not work. Very noisy. Very dated. Water left in kettle.

We always stay here when visiting sheerness, the staff is always welcoming and very friendly.

Breakfast was fine. Room was clean and tidy.

Very noisy all night till 2am, loud music and people shouting and swearing.

No hot water for the whole 3 days. Also the was a false fire alarm at 3am and there appeared to be no staff on site.

Bathroom was grubby, cracks in wash basin and lid of toilet system, badly sealed and inadequate shower curtain.

Too many stairs and no car park. The room still had rubbish in bin from previous guest. LIVE BAND directly underneath the room which I was not advised about and it was going on until late and causing vibration through the floor. Very noisy . Staff were nice and helpful but took a while to confirm my pre paid booking as they couldn’t find it.

No lift, no parking , not enough towels. Not a nice area at night time. Would not go back sorry.

I’ve asked for a wheelchair accessible room but I was giving an upstairs room had to crawl to get to my room terrible staff unhelpful. I was being abused in a front of them and they refused to call the police for me! Never ever coming back there

The room was swarming with flies, so much that I had to buy fly killer, the carpet was filthy and stains on the sheets and pillows, decided not to stay even 1 night, god knows what would be crawling over you during the night.

Every where was thick of dust dirty finger marks on every door paint work dirty window in our bathroom was broken no vent the whole hotel needs a bloody good clean

Breakfast was good and plentiful. However, advertising choice could be better. Space seen by the pubic was OK, behind the scenes the place was clean, dated and tired. Certainly in need of some TLC. I travel a lot here and abroad and judge a place on Breakfast and shower. MY room was tired but clean and comfortable. The shower did not offer hot water - seems when I pointed this out at breakfast , management apologised and confirmed an engineer was on their way. Parking was poor albeit the management did warn ahead of my visit. Parking nearby all short term (max 4hrs - got told signs need to be updated to reflect a change in council policy) A local was able to suggest off road parking nearby at no cost - brilliant.

Parking . Cold shower. Breakfast could be better advertised offering more than "full english breakfast" Yes there was other choices but the Royal need to prepare a menu and promote what ever they are capable of offering.
