Location, scenic view, cozy, pet friendly

The kitchen utensils and cooking pots and pans need upgrading. Only one pot had a lid, there was no cheese grater and no vegetable peeler. The host, although very friendly and gracious, spoke no English or Dutch and was very busy tending to his cows and other Farming activities, so I would then expect at least an information booklet in the the room, explaining topics like how the dishwasher works, where to leave the rubbish, whether to separate recyclables or not and other pertinent and important information. The bed was comfortable but the pillow was as soft as a towel. Another annoyance was being woken up by loud noises early (3 am - 4 am) in the morning from either the farmer leaving or other guests. On checking out, I was surprised by having to pay an additional fee for the family pet we brought with and additional city taxes , over and above what was as advertised to us on Booking.com. As we did not expect this amount, we had to leave and drive to a Cash machine to draw money and drive back. Very annoying.

De gastheer was super vriendelijk en behulpzaam en het ontbijt was uitgebreid en heel vers. De kamer was prima met mooi uitzicht over de natuur.

De locatie was afgelegen in een klein dorp met weinig voorzieningen, bijv. geen winkel. De kussens waren erg zacht en boden weinig steun.

Die Lage ist sehr schön ruhig!

Die weichen Betten und das etwas zu schwere Bettzeug…..

Im Hof Gretchens ist alles so, wie es sein muss. Die Lage: Direkt am Feld, so dass man jederzeit einen schönen Spaziergang machen kann. 7 Minuten mit dem Auto nach Winterberg zum Skilift, ansonsten ist noch ein Skigebiet gleich im nächsten Ort. Fußläufig im Ort sind Gasthäuser (an Wochenenden/Ferien unbedingt einen Tisch reservieren). Die Zimmer: Wir hatten ein relativ großes mit verglastem Balkon. Das Bad war neu. Alles ist sehr sehr sauber. Die Matratzen sind sehr gut (nicht zu weich). Der Rest des Hauses und der Frühstücksraum waren noch weihnachtlich geschmückt, die Atmosphäre an sich ist sehr warm und heimelig. Das Frühstück: Sehr reichhaltig, frisch und lecker! Der Gastgeber: Herr Gehrke ist ein sehr netter Gastgeber, der auch schon vor dem Aufenthalt sehr freundliche und informative Mails schickt. Ich kann dieses Haus nur empfehlen!!

Das frühstuck war gut es gab eine große Auswahl, Brot, Brötchen, Eier, Marmelade, Wurst, Käse, verschiedene Müsli Sorten, Gemüse,.... Es wurde auf individuelle Wünsche eingegangen und man konnte sich die Uhrzeit selber aussuchen, der Pensionsleiter Herr Gerke hat das frühstück dann kurz vorher zubereitet. Die Zimmer sind urig, man fühlt sich ein bisschen wie bei Oma zu besuch, sehr gemütlich :) dafür sind die Badezimmer komplett modernisiert. Der Gastgeber ist höflich und zuvorkommend aber nicht aufdringlich.

It is a nice typical German house. The rooms are clean, cozy and well maintained. Although the host could not speak a lot of English, the communication worked well and he is super kind.

The location is a bit further from city center, so in our case we used a lot the car.

The host is really friendly and took care of us all the time. The breakfast is perfect and I love it.

Nothing to dislike, it's the perfect place for everyone.

The owner was delightful and the room was charming. Lots of space, particularly with all that comes with snow activities. Truly enjoyed it and would definitely stay here again!
