The property was so cute, clean, and it’s location was excellent! The best part was Maria (owner). She was so kind and available every time I had a question. I will definitely come back to Historic Tremain Cottage when visiting Mount Dora.

Nothing! I wish there were more wall outlets in the bedrooms but that’s an easy fix. I’ll just bring an extension cord with me next time. This property is wonderful and I hope I can stay here again.

We arrived a little earlier than check in time. I called Maria, and she said go on inside, no extra charge. We entered to the most clean, large living room. To the left, a well appointed kitchen. The two bedrooms, and bathroom was so clean. Everything was as we expected since we stayed in their other apartment last month.

There is not anything I did not like.

The location was so convienant to the downtown area. The apartment was well equipped. They left coffee and filters as well as sugar and creamer for morning coffee. The linen in both the bathroom and bedroom were super white, super clean. I will plan on staying here again on my next visit.

I think a couple bottles of water in the refrigerator would have been a great touch. It appears they think about everything, and this is one thing that would stand out.

The suite was spacious, very nicely decorated and super clean. The location was terrific - a short walk to downtown and Donnolly Park for festivals.

We would have preferred a king-sized bed. The hand-held shower was a little awkward.

Great location cute cottage.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. Beautifully decorated. It is very close to downtown. Everything was spotless. The cottage was well stocked, even though we didn’t eat there. It is also pet friendly.

We could hear the people upstairs walking around non-stop for hours. The wooden floors carried their every step until 1:30 in the morning. Next stay I’m taking the upstairs cottage.

The apartment was beautiful and well equipped.

Not suited for seniors.Steps to apt. too steep especially when carrying luggage etc.Loved the tub but difficult to enter to shower..

Was in a quiet area, room was clean, bed comfortable

Everything in the room was soooo small! I’m 5 feet tall and had to laugh at the size of the couch and chair. The bathroom had a small toilet and the toilet paper holder was below my knees. There was no one to welcome you in. It wasn’t a warm and touchy place.

Location was close to downtown area. Maria was exceptional and very responsive to needs. Kitchen was nice. Liked access to porch from kitchen. Bed was comfortable.

Bathroom very very small. Shower curtain didn't have enough hooks and was very stiff. Cobwebs above mirror.

The location was good.

While the house was close to town, and luckily the sheets and towels were clean, I expected more for the price we paid and it was not comparable to the other houses we have stayed at in the area. The furniture has seen its better days and we ended up running to Walmart for a mattress topper because the mattress was terribly uncomfortable as was the couch. Also, you should know if you stay here, there are people above you and behind you. So it is definitely not private.

Location , parking

Location is nice...within walking distance to downtown Mount Dora and most of the restaurants. Pet friendly, mostly. Parking on premises was nice.

The animal friendly policy is confusing. Management wanted an additional $100 for a service dog (reduced to a $35 cleaning fee for dog hair). Also, the recliner chair was broken. Management wanted to charge us to have it repaired. Great scam to get more money from guests. They video the facilities before and after to charge renters more money when something no longer works, yet no one checks out the equipment for proper operation during the video. Expensive for what you get.

The bathroom is very small, specially around toilet area. Shower water pressure not good.
