AC and fridge needed in the bedrooms during such hot weather. The WIFI connection kept dropping out.

Rustic lovely building with friendly staff, clean rooms and very welcoming would 100% go back , you definitely need a car it is out the way but its perfect for a peaceful retreat which exactly what we wanted for the final leg of road trip
No aircon or balcony on our room, wasnt the end of the world as weather wasn't fantastic but can imagine it would be a bit warm for us with just a fan if the weather has been as good as the beginning of our holiday in Croatia

Where to start. I was welcomed by Mattia and shown around and to my room. Everything felt tranquil and like an oasis. My room was large, had air conditioning and a spacious private balcony with lovely views of the setting sun and surrounding hills. The bathroom was large with a roll top bath tub. The part I stayed in was a newly renovated addition and also had the pool nearby.
Being a vegetarian hotel I was trepidatious as regards the evening meals, but both nights were incredible! Three courses created by an artist! The surroundings only added to the ambience. It's on my list of places to stay again.
Being on a motorcycle the gravel parking area with differing depths of gravel was unnerving to park in. Similar thoughts were expressed by a couple of HD riders. For non bikers, the ideal gravel scanario is shallow with a solid base so the narrow front wheel doesn't sink :). A small point anyway as I didn't drop it!

This Hotel was an unexpected delight, with really friendly hospitality and excellent home cooking (vegetarian) too. One needs a car to enjoy exploring the region (it is not in a city centre) but we had ours and thoroughly enjoyed the location as a result. The cauliflower soup was quite exceptional!

Pretty much everything. Great hosts, comfortable, quant,quiet, plenty of parking, secure, lovely location, excellent food, quite unique, nice surroundings. Can't fault it.

Everything! I was let down by another hotel so booked 30 minutes before arriving. The staff were lovely, laid on some delicious food and couldn't have been more helpful. The whole hotel is fascinating and my room was exceptional. I would guess that it had been recently completed as everything seemed perfect. I am travelling by motorbike so safe parking is always welcome.

A beautiful structure a little out of everything.
The works done to re-structure the new part are very beautiful as is the rest of the structure.
The swimming pool is splendid and there is a beautiful peace.
The location is good for visiting the coast but not right on the coast (about 15/20 minutes).
Parking available and free on site.
There is a very good restaurant which offers only vegetarian / vegan dishes.
The room we stayed in was very nice and very big.
The staff was just perfect.
There were many bees and large wasps, especially in the pool area. As soon as the shower were open and it got a little wet on the ground, they immediately came to drink (given the heat). It wasn't a real problem but there were so many. Maybe there was a hive in the area.

Our stay at balatura was perfect. Everyone working there was extremely helpful and genuinely friendly. We felt very welcome. Our room had a lovely balcony with a stunning view, and the room it self was very beautiful and spacious. The breakfast was so tasty and thoughtfully made and the dinner was very delicious. Overall, we had a great stay and didn’t want to leave!
The WiFi was quite weak, but we didn’t need it anyway.

Really romantic, fabolous ambient with nature and good people around the hotel. Rooms are much bigger then expected. Food was so deliciues from breakfast to dinner desert, home made drinks, etc. Pool, rooms and hotel in general was very clean. Wifi has good coverage evreywhere. All the staff was really helpful, owner gave us some great tips for some beaches, viewpoints.
We know that hotel is totally nature orianted but still some AC units in rooms would be perfect in hot days. When its just warm outside you won’t need one. Besides that really nothing we didn’t like.

I like everything about this hotel. It has a special charm and energy. Owner Gordan is always there and he makes people feel great because he is very welcoming and nice person. All the other people that work in the hotel are also very nice. The food is great. Very good quality and amazing taste. And my favorit spot is the pool that looks beautiful. I’ll come again because it’s perfect place to relax and enjoy.

We had the most wonderful stay at Hotel Balatura: lovely hosts, a wonderful room, a beautiful building and surroundings, and last, but not least a marvellous vegetarian dinner. Oh, and let's not forget the equally fantastic breakfast in the morning sun. We will be back.
