We could not have been happier with this amazing rental! It was just perfect for us. The home itself is incredibly well appointed with everything you could think of, including the sweetest welcome basket with local products (Kona coffee of course) and some lovely papayas. It was so thoughtful and had a great little note to greet us and start our stay. The beds were super comfortable, linens and all the surfaces sparkling clean, the kitchen had all the essentials and more including a Brita filter for daily hydration, filling all our Hydros and taking care of the earth with way less plastic. Loved that! There was ice and extra's throughout the entire home. The backyard....seriously....the pool and patio area...dreamy. Coffee in the morning...staring at the ocean! I can't wait to go back! And the walk to the beach! So quick and such a great little path. The beach had a fantastic view of the sunset every night and the snorkeling during the day was some of our best memories and favorite snorkeling of all time. We were able to see 4 different octopus! Unbelievable. Communicating with Mary was lovely, every conversation from her checking on us to make sure everything was as it should be to answering any of our questions. Mary is a gem and I would work with her anytime. Over-all, I would highly recommend and encourage anyone to rent this amazing place.

Our family of 10 enjoyed a week at Puako and were so sad to leave. The house had everything we needed, as well as a pool that the kids loved and a small beach with great snorkeling. Larger beaches were within a short driving distance. The house is comfortable but not fussy and Mary the property manager was so great with communication. We hope to be back!

A very comfortable house nicely organized with all the amenities we could need. There was even a special play area for kids. We played every day in the pool and walked the short distance to the special beach. Great communication and support from Mary!

The house was perfect in every way. Beautiful pool & lanai, wonderful views, short walk to a lovely beach. The house had everything you could ask for and the manager was extremely responsive and helpful.

We had 10 people staying here, ranging in age from 2 to 74, and it was great....plenty of room. If you love to swim and/or snorkel, this property will fill the bill. We had lots of fun in the pool as a family, especially with our night swims before bed. The beach we walked to is only a 3 or 4 minute walk, has shade, turtles, and great snorkeling. This beach is not good for boogie boarding due to the rocks (the rocks help with the snorkeling, though), however there is a good boogie boarding beach just a few minutes away in the car. The manager was very responsive and pleasant to deal with. I highly recommend this house.

Excellent 2 week stay. Family of 4 stayed, short 3 minute walk to nice beach for snorkeling and hanging out. Close drive over to Hapuna which is a bigger beach for more snorkeling and boogie-boarding. The house has plenty of space, much more than needed for family of 4. It was really nicely appointed, beautiful artwork, all the amenities. 2Papayas were very attentive and friendly property managers.

Our stay in this property was amazing! In fact, it exceeded our expectations; posted pictures do not do justice to the home. The home is beautiful and spacious--very adequate for our family of twelve with an age range of 7-71. The home was clean and supplied with all the necessities needed for our week together. The children loved the large pool and quick access to the beach. While air conditioning is in all the bedrooms, it is not in the living areas of the home which made for some hot Hawaiian days, the only downside, and yet not a spoiler of our week. Communication with the property manager was excellent with quick responses to our questions and concerns prior to our arrival and while there. We highly recommend this home to other families considering a visit to the Big Island.

Gorgeous!! We loved our stay, we travelled with 7 adults and two small children, awesome pool, plenty of room, short walk to the beach. Beautiful weather.

The house was beautiful with views of the ocean and the mountains! It was surrounded by flowers and breezy. The house itself was very clean and pretty. Beautiful showers and bedrooms and the living areas were spacious with all windows. The walk to the best beach on that side of the island was only a minute. One Minute walk! We would love to come back to this property!

The house is beautiful, comfortable, clean and well maintained - everything is first class. It has lots of room so there are great spaces for gathering and spaces to be away from others. The view is beautiful and the beach is a short walk away and very nice and not crowded. It was a great place for our family reunion and the house suited every generation from 7 years old to 81. The rental agents are great people and very helpful. Puako is a little remote and just what our island family enjoys! But the bright lights are not too far away, if that is what a person wants.

We loved this house and the access to Waialea Bay (beach 69). Every day we would go find a place on the beach, which wasn't very crowded and snorkel and lounge (the house had beach chairs and tons of snorkel gear). The walk to the beach was about very easy and short. Kids found shells, tried to boogie board (waves were small in the bay), and played on the rope swings. The view was better than we were expecting from the house, and there were outdoor tables and lounge chairs everywhere. The air conditioning really helped since the temperature was in the high 80's. The kids loved the pool and without a deep end the parents could relax. The 2Papayas team took care of us and had the house clean and stocked - it was home away from home. PS - If you stay here try eating at Kohala Burger!
