Fabulous! This property really has something for everyone. Superb layout, neat, clean upgraded. We really enjoyed it.

Very nice and unusual house in that the decorations were outstanding , the layout unique , and the pool great ! However , lake too shallow there for bringing a boat in . Swimming not recommended . But we did rent a boat elsewhere and swam near an island beach .

Had a great time and the house was wonderful and perfect for our needs. The weather wasn't the best but we enjoyed being with family . What a great layout this house has And is decorated very nicely.

We had an absolutely fabulous time at the property!! it was beautiful and well appointed with everything we needed, the game room in the pool, made it even more fun then we could have imagined!! I would recommend a spot to anyone in a heartbeat!!

We loved our stay at the green gables. Our dogs loved the fenced in backyard, our teenagers loved the extra space and the location of the lake provided great fishing.

We came for son's wedding, all traveling from Savannah. I had to come up Wed. night bc iIt was my job to throw Rehearsal Dinner Party, so this was NOT a leisure trip and I had a tight schedule. I had to meet rental company at site, make many phone calls to those coming up and to deal with vendors. Problem 1- WIFI /INTERNET was AWFUL and NOT USEABLE. I was NOT able to connect with anyone over the phone. There were many conversations like- "hello, hello, can you hear me, can you hear me" and then approximately 20 seconds later, the connection was lost!k A few times I would stand on the stairs outside (in rain) to see if it would work, and sometimes it did! OMG- this was a nightmare! Prob 2-I had to finish a family video presentation, and because the connection would not work, up/downloading took abnormal amounts of time.....to where it didn’t happen. So I suffered the consequences of that not being ready or even working at the event! AS if this wasn't enough- Prob 3- many lights were out and did not work at all- one of which was in main bath. So I had to take a shower and go to the bathroom for 2 days (wed-thurs) in the DARK! I used my phone light! Prob 4- we called right when we got there, but had to leave a message, which wasn’t returned, so we called again the next day, but they didn’t come until 3 day! Prob 5- Water was leaking from the bathroom ceiling, which wasn’t an issue for me, but I was actually asked to go look at something upstairs and asked to shut it off bc they were told already about this from the last tenant and thought they knew what it was. Ummm, NO! What if I did something wrong, or a water valve burst and ruined even more of our stay? We had so many wedding events we had to get to, I couldn’t do that! Prob 6- The kitchen didn’t supply all the main utensils, so we invented ways to get by, but in the middle of cooking the only dinner there, we couldn’t open any cans- NO can opener! No inventing there! We lived, but a bother! BUT Prob 7- the TOILETS! OMG- WOW! This place has an issue here! After plunging master bath toilet 3-4 times myself just to get a general flush, I discovered my spouse had to do the same! Then my kids upstairs told me same happened to them. And what do you know....my parents had to plunge their toilet several times in the bungalow as well… making Prob 8- didn't realize1 bed/bath was a separate house. splitting up my family. Prob 9- ceiling vents were nasty & need cleaning. Very disappointing here.

Six lifelong friends meet every year at the lake for a retreat. The Green Gables property was perfect for our group. Beautiful home, view and property. Very unique house. Fairly well equipped kitchen. Could use a few more towels in kitchen and baths. But we had a blast!!!

Large enough to accommodate our group AND our sweet old man kitty. Washer & dryer a huge plus. Creative use of space.

I chose this house for its uniqueness and it was perfect place for 3 teens, my mother, and my husband and I. Very clean and had everything we needed.

Beautiful property, had everything we needed and the stay was comfortable. I hope to be back again!

House and property was ideal for a family gathering

We chose the property as a place for the family to stay for graduation weekend. Great house! So unique and very nicely finished house. We loved the layout and proximity to the college graduation events. The guesthouse was perfect for my daughter, her husband and infant giving them a quiet space for the baby. Being December, we didn’t get to enjoy the lake and pool but we’ll definitely consider returning in warmer weather.

This home has so much character and the layout was perfect for our family. We had a 1st birthday party for my granddaughter and there was plenty of space for family and friends. The covered outside space was so nice….even though it rained. The home is beautifully decorated and provided everything we needed. We’ll definitely stay there again!!

We had 2 families in our party and everyone had their own private space because of how the house is set up. That is a HUGE plus. The house is warm and inviting and very comfortable. The breezeway is design genius. Such an enjoyable outdoor space that also had nice lighting for nighttime. The firepit was great and the yard is fantastic, a dogs dream. We went at the end of October so the pool was closed. The owner was very communicative and helpful throughout the entire rental process. Overall a really great experience. We would for sure go back to this house. Some suggestions to make this rental even better: the kitchen could be outfitted better. Just a few mixing bowls, serving bowls, some more cups, more silverware. We bought and left some Tupperware as our house contribution. Also, if the house can accommodate 10 people you really have to have 10 outdoor chairs by the campfire even if you stack them to the side when not being used. We only had 6 people in our party, so the 6 chairs were fine for us, but may not be for another group. Also, someone responsible for the house needs to walk through and replace all of the light bulbs that aren't working. That little thing would elevate this rental even more. It's really a great house with a lot to offer. I imagine it's a dream in the summertime. I highly recommend this house.

Property was great for our extended family. Having both the guest house and the upstairs area that could be separated from the main floor kitchen and living room made it so everyone could have their own space. LOVED the outside covered area between the main house and the guest house. Calm and comfortable to just sit and enjoy OR set up the computer to do some work. Although a bit further from Milly (25 min to campus) than we normally stay, easy access with just 3 turns off 441. Our only suggestion would be more supplies for the kitchen. With such a large house accommodating 10 people, could have used silverware for at least 12, some larger cereal bowls, and containers for mixing and leftovers. Pots, Pans and cookie sheets were great. Especially thankful for the flat griddle for pancakes! Thank you for allowing our fur baby as well... we really appreciate that the house accommodated our pet. Overall a great stay and would definitely book again.

The property owner was very responsive to any questions and very helpful. The house was beautiful, and plenty of room for all the guest!

Very cute house. Very comfortable. I liked the separate guest quarters. It would be helpful to have 2 trash bins since pick up is once a week. The half a bathroom toilet didn't flush very well. Overall we had a great time.

We had a very positive experience at Charleese’s home. It being two homes was perfect for our group. Our matriarch (mom/grandma) stayed in the guest house while the rest of our group was in the main home. The kids occupied the second floor so we all had perfect spaces. Charleese was incredibly responsive when we had questions about the home. The pool was a good size for our group. We didn’t get in the lake, but it was a lovely view. The home was as described.

We are a family of 7+ my mom visited Green Gables for a end of the summer getaway. We enjoyed the property for it was very large for everyone to have their own space. The separate guest cottage was perfect for my mom. The kids loved the pool and the patio. The view was great. Everything you needed was available at the home. We planned activities daily and the home was budget friendly. Thank you for a great experience!

I was able to bring my all of my family and we all had our own areas. I used the guest house so I could not hear everyone after I went to bed. The pool was nice to cool down on a hot July day.

We had a great week at green gables. Very relaxing. The water was shallow at the dock but we were still able to dock our pontoon. Thank you for a great week.

House and guest house were super nice! Pool could use a brush and vacuum. Everything is provided for you in the house. Maybe not the best place on the water. Kind of shallow for a boat but fine for kayaks! Neighbors were friendly. Good place to unwind. Overall nice trip.

Perfect for our needs!

Very convenient location and beautiful home and yard. It’s on back of cove so quiet and pool so refreshing on hot days. Lots of outdoor seating to enjoy the view !

We absolutely loved everything about this beautiful property 😊Plenty of space for our crew of 9 plus 2 pups ❤️ The house is decorated so lovely and the guest house was perfect for our elderly grandparents.The outside area is awesome and where we spent most of our time.We will be back . Fantastic getaway !

House was great. Love the covered porch. Fence is not good for dogs less than 30 pounds. Too many places to get out. Dishwasher did not work. Enjoyed our time but had to walk the dogs which was not expected. Great place to meet with friends and chill.

This was a great place for our staff retreat. The property was beautiful and well stocked. I would definitely recommend!
