We had a wonderful week @ Brookhaven. The place was very clean & the owners were extremally friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable (no morning backache). As for the location it's perfect.If you are planning on staying, cottage 5 is the largest but cottage 2 has a screened in porch with a wonderful view of the lake.

This was my 2nd stay at Brookhaven and I enjoyed it just as much as the first! Visit Up North continues to provide excellent customer service too! Before my arrival, the Team verified that I received my access information and encouraged me to reach out with any questions or concerns. I did have one small maintenance issue: A corner of the screen on my porch came out. The Team ensured that it was quickly and correctly repaired. (That made my day because I was enjoying using the porch!).The cabin itself is 'no frills' but it is clean, comfortable and well-maintained. The photos are accurate and the location is convenient for exploring Sleeping Bear Dunes, Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive, the shops and restaurants in Glen Arbor and so much more. Big Glen Lake is crystal clear and the private lake shore is just the right depth for all ages to enjoy. One note: on the private portion of the shore, the floor of the lake is a bit rocky. It doesn't bother me but some people might prefer to wear water shoes.Brookhaven is a great place to share time with family and friends. It is close enough to explore new things yet far enough to avoid traffic and crowds while bonding with your peeps.

So appreciate this lovely space-- glad we discovered it years ago. Our family has been coming here over a decade-- a great growing-up experience for our kids! Each remembers their first kayaking trips, paddling into Brooks Lake to see the herons, otters, and turtles, the bonfires, making s'mores and chatting with other families, the stars-- and Northern Lights over the lake at night. We love all there is for us to do and what a lovely place to just not do anything this is. The upgrades are appreciated too!

Nice place later in the summer
This is a genuine lakeshore cabin with a 1950’s feel. Small but comfortable with great access to Lake Glen. Lots of construction happening for first day and half so quite noisy but got more peaceful after work was done. Seems we were the first guest of the summer and they weren’t quite ready for us. Host was helpful with suggestions of places to go and things to do. Had a great hike among the dunes.

Very tiny shower, barely manageable. Very quaint and small, but quite nice, old school for sure. Beautiful setting on the water with gorgeous views.

Great place to relax and enjoy the sunset, it rained some while we were there but didn’t dampen our experience. Sleeping Bear Dunes just down the road and good pizza from Bears Paw.

My husband and I recently stayed in one of the cabins on Brookhaven and were super impressed with it. Everything was clean when we arrived and the cabin had everything we needed to make some really nice meals. We didn't have to haul our kayaks with us and enjoyed fishing and exploring and fishing on the water with some kayaks available to everyone. Will definitely be back next summer and would come back again this year if the space were available :)

Always love a visit to this place! Quiet, beautiful and relaxing. Our family comes every year for the past decade. The cottage is comfy and CLEAN, the new heater kept us cozy on the chilly night (and we appreciated the text reminding us how to use it!) the lake was warm and clear, the campfires were safe and socially distanced, and our visit was safe and wonderful! We’re already booked again for next year!

Great time, except cottage 1 had car with trailer attached all week couldn’t see lake from cottage, and extra parking space. Had to go buy bakeware, and door knob wasn’t on bathroom door when arrived. Other than that fantastic week and will be back for 4th next summer.

We have stayed at Brookhaven three times and love it! It is located on an absolutely beautiful and peaceful stretch of Glen Lake. The cabins are simple - consisting of two small bedrooms, a bathroom, a small sitting room and small kitchen. For us, everything we need. I love the simplicity and would not want any more. If you want some luxury Brookhaven is not for you. However, if you want a simple cabin on a beautiful property then Brookhaven is perfect.

The cabin is small and quaint, across the driveway from the lake. There is a small community seating area around the fire pit. There is also a community pier to walk out and enjoy the water. Unfortunately, our cabin smelled strongly of gas (there is a gas stove in the kitchen). The kitchen is quite small, so the smell, more than likely, was just from being closed up for a while. The front window was propped open when we arrived, so I'm assuming they knew it smelled and was trying to air it out. I have an 8 month old and a husband with asthma, so we ended up sleeping in the car instead of inside. We arrived around 630-7pm, opened all the windows thinking it would have aired out by the time we got back from dinner, but it didn't and then it was too late to call anyone (10pm). We didn't constitute it as an 'emergency' situation. When we went in the morning to collect our belongings, it was aired out. Just make sure that you get inside and check the place out before nighttime. The beds looked to be in great condition, the bathroom was super cute, the couch seemed worn down and needs more stuffing. They had extra bedding available, towels, and had nice soap in the bathroom. We didn't look at the kitchen, so I can't really review that.

Had to cancel trip to Florida due to Irma. We had never been to Glen Arbor. Wow was it great. Rental was exactly as described on web site. Follow up call from up north to make sure everything was satisfactory. Nice touch. Will definitely rent again. Extreamly satisfied.
