First, Josh is a great host. He made last minute changes to start our stay early which was a huge benefit for my group. He was easy to reach and has great communication.
I picked the house because there were 6 of us and this house has no bunk beds!! Everything we needed was there from dishes, towels, fish cleaning station, boat slip and covered entertainment area. Everything worked as advertised. Location is convenient to Browns grocery, Hackberry and Choupique Bayou, and all the marinas. We had a great time and this property made it convenient. Hackberry is a regular fishing spot when we come from Texas and we will be back at Josh’s house soon.

Clean and quiet neighborhood, excellent place to relax and stay cool. The waterfront view and quick access to the was lake very nice. Really liked being able to pull right out of the boat slip and go fishing without having to trailer back and forth to camp all weekend. Holly beach is also less than 25 minutes away so we were able to conveniently make an evening trip down there as well.

the property had everything we needed with 7 adult men, plenty of room, large dining table, a boat stall, large concreted space under camp to hang out, etc. I don't believe any of us had any complaints about the place. We would definitely stay there again

The electricity went out our first night. We asked the owner to report the outage to the utility company which he did. What we didn't expect, was that he and his son arrived at the property 30 minutes after my call with a generator and two portable AC units. They had us up and running on the portable generator in no time at all. This was service above and beyond any thing we could have asked for.

This rental was wonderful. Exactly as described, extremely clean and perfect for a family stay. The owners were responsive to questions and check in/out processes were well communicated. Personal touch of having cookies at check in was very sweet. Highly recommend and would rebook without question.

Me and six of my friends stayed here for two nights for a kayak fishing tournament and this camp is perfect. Everyone got a bed, perfect location, updated, and very clean. Tom’s of parking if you have a group and great bulk head of your bringing a boat or two down. The fish cleaning station was clutch as well.

It was a guys fishing trip with 6 people. The house was amazing. We easily fit our 6 guys, beds were great, house was nice and clean, has a nice cleaning startion and the location of the house worked really well. We caught a ton of fish. Already boos that house again.

A group of coworkers of mine got away from the office for a couple of days to go fishing. This was the perfect place to stay. It’s clean and very updated. We can’t wait to come back in the fall!

My husband picked this property for a guys’ trip and he came back saying it was perfect for them. The 6 grown men each had their own bed. Large great room to hang out in. Dining table big enough to seat them all comfortably and play poker. They could dock the boat behind the house. And the grill was put to good use blackening all the fish they caught. They had a blast. Very thankful for this great property where they made such great memories. Highly recommend for a large family or group of friends.

This house is amazing! Perfect set-up for our crew of 8. Downstairs was just as great. Cleaning station is top notch. Josh was extremely hospitable quick to respond. The cookies were a nice touch!

We enjoyed out stay here at the Hackberry camp. The place was clean and comfortable, and well furnished. The property owner was readily available, very accommodating and pleasant to deal with. The camp is in a good location with easy access to Big Lake and has a nice fish cleaning station. Boat launch and fuel was close by. The construction on the boat slip next door was a little annoying but will be nice when it is finished. We look forward to staying here again in the future.

This property was exceptional! Very clean, nicely decorated and supplied with everything that we needed. Josh and Ashley made us feel very welcome and made sure that we where pleased everything. Very nice place. everything is clean, comfortable, well kept and well stocked. we didn't need to provide anything of our own for the stay. only our groceries. we will definitely come back here. thank you to the home owners!
