The location was lovely and the building beautiful old style. The host Sara, was lovely and very accommodating and helpful.

The bed was too small for 2 adults, so could've been a bigger size. We didn't have WiFi access in our room, only outside.

The room was adequate for a one night stay, The bed covers were so comfy and clean, the pillows were just right and the room exceptionally quiet, even though I was on the ground floor next to the main entrance. The Shower cubicle was small, but the shower itself was very good. The parking was off road and more than adequate, with lots of space to park where you wish. The locality was very good, within half a mile walk of a large Sainsburys and retail park. The hotel staff were very friendly and welcoming and the overall impression was good.

The springs in the mattress were prominent which made for a difficult sleep. There wasn't any shower gel or shampoo, which I'd like for the money paid. The big let down was the very dated furniture, dated décor, drab curtains and just generally dated style of room - all were functional and no issue there.

Clean comfortable room and great service

I stayed at this property for one night. The following day I returned to my home in France. 2 weeks later I am told by booking.com that I have 'NO SHOWED' for a booking I didn't make a week later. I wasn't even in the country!!!! Booking.com washed their hands off it as did the owner of this property. Owners words to me were that 'somebody will lose out and it won't be me'. Then refused to return calls after leaving messages with his staff to discuss. Arrogant and rude. Would not stay there ever again!!!!!

No food served as no chef on Mondays. Had to beg to eat just eat in the pub! All real ales off, rooms cold and my bathroom was freezing!!

Comfortable bed. The vibe of a old English home was nice.

The floor board were very noisy. Toiletries weren't provided.

Was not happy with the cleanliness of the room , there was think dust behind the TV that looked like it had been their for years. The bathroom was very heavy with lime scale on the taps and around the bottom of the shower tray, also the over flow hole in the bathroom sink was thick black .

Booking in was really good and the staff were friendly. The lady at breakfast time couldn’t have been more helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

Wardrobe space, non provided, but this wouldn’t deter us from staying again.

In need of some TLC , looked very dingy and needed a good paint,, carpets in need of cleaning, hole in window . I appreciate it’s an old building

Good value for money made welcome and fair price for extra meals and dinning at the pub. It was near all local attractions. There was a tv with a good reception and the rooms where cleaned , bedding changed and new towels everyday. That was a brilliant addition to the package. Very warm showers

Breakfast was really good, the lady was really helpful and accommodating. Pleasant stay, really vleancsnd tidy, plenty of parking and easily located right outside the accommodation.
