Fabulous accommodations with every Amenity! View of mountains and Hanalei Bay was superb!

This place is a very nice condo, very spacious and well-appointed and equipped. The balcony lanai is quite large and affords a very nice view of the sunset. The property has nice tennis courts and swimming pools and a decent bar/restaurant. There appeared to be another restaurant that recently closed and is undergoing a revamp of some sort. We are in our 70s and were not aware of having lots of hills to climb and a parking lot far remote from the condo. There are shuttle carts one can summon with a phone call, but be aware they expect anywhere from $5 to $20 tips each time you call them. Another bit of a surprise, the unit is advertised at $399/night, and one usually can expect some taxes to be added on. However, this resort hits you with daily valet parking fees and other charges, even though hardly anyone uses valet parking except for non-guests coming to the bar from off-campus. The valet always seemed to be busy so you have to wait. We gave up on that after the first day. So the daily amount ends up more like $700/night. There should be more accurate disclosure on what to expect. All that aside, it is a very nice place and I would rate it superior. A plus is the beach walk down the hill with a great sunset. Just be prepared to understand all the extra resort fees.

Me and my husband stayed in this beautiful condo in Hanalei Bay resort . Did so many excursions, enjoyed private beach , and everything what this beautiful resort offers. View from the lanai is absolutely gorgeous, everything was top notch, we are very happy. If you will stay on a north of the island you can book excursion Na Pali coast which leaves from the bay , 10 minutes away from us here , it’s 2,5 hours long , per, no need to drive to the south to port Ellie . It was so much fun and views of the coast are must see , stunning.😊🌺🏝🏖️

We splurged a bit to stay at HBR in Maryam’s condo and it was worth every penny. Check-in was very easy, communication was always fast and clear, and the condo itself was WONDERFUL. The view from the lanai was absolutely stunning, and it was stocked with everything you would need for a beach day. Highly recommend!

There is a real problem with parking. Restaurant patrons park in the lot used by vacationers, filling the lot. The valet will take your car and park it somewhere for you but this can take 20 minutes or more because of the parked cars everywhere.

This is my second stay at Hanalei Bay Resort and won’t be my last. We love the resort for its beautiful grounds, amenities, pool, and proximity to all that Northern Kauai has to offer. I HIGHLY recommend Amir and Maryam’s condo at Hanalei Bay Resort. From the moment we booked with them communication was timely, kind, and professional. They were always there with very quick responses to answer all of our questions. The condo was spacious, very clean, and well appointed with everything you would need for a great stay. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a great meal at “home.” Our favorite part was the panoramic views out onto Hanalei Bay. From the moment you step into the condo your breath is taken away. The Lanai (where we spent almost all of our time while in the condo) was very large and had a table for 4 and 2 lounge chairs. We saw rainbows, beautiful sunsets, and waves crashing in the distance. We really hope to be back again one day. Thanks Amir and Maryam!

We stay often at HBR. The view is spectacular.

This is the greatest way to spend your vacation. It was well appointed, clean and surrounded by a sense of peace and calm. Well worth the drive From the airport. Every person we came in contact with was helpful and polite. The restaurant/bar was an experience in its self-great music.

Highly recommend staying here if you're in North Kauai. Beautiful views, a great condo, and the hosts made the entire process simple and easy. We'll be back!

My bf and I rented this property for half of our stay in Kauai for thanksgiving — it was clean, great location, but best part we’re the views from the balcony!! We enjoyed the location on the north shore and easy access to Hanalei - thanks for a great stay!

We had a wonderful time - the condo was great, very clean and well appointed. Amazing view. The check in and check out process were easy and the front desk staff was very friendly. Our favorite part was the patio and view! Great lagoon pool and nice you can walk to their beach. Business center convenient for early morning East Coast work while on vacation and Happy Talk was convenient and fun for music and cocktails. Can’t wait to go back!

We stayed here for 3 nights and wish it could have been longer. The unit was very comfortable and has everything you could possibly need. The view from the balcony was breathtaking. We had coffee there every morning, watched surfers and enjoyed beautiful sunsets. When we booked this place we didn’t realize how many great amenities came with the resort. There are pools, tennis courts and a bar type restaurant with live music some nights. We will definitely go back someday.

Having previously owned properties in Princeville, I am particular about accommodations. I stayed at HBR 7 years ago and loved it - location, views, amenities. I was so glad to find THIS property to share with my partner for his first time on the North Shore and he was stunned. AND he proposed! Hate to go home, can't wait to return. The only negative is the Bali Hai restaurant is still closed with no plans to reopen. That is very unfortunate. Hoping someone will change their minds!

Lovely views. The sunset is truly amazing. Very clean place, well appointed kitchen. Was the perfect place for our romantic getaway. Was also quiet.

Everything was as expected. It was quite a walk from the parking lot to get to but the resort offers transportation via golf cart free of charge. The only thing was beach access was not the greatest as well as the beach in front of the resort wasn’t that great. There is a building under construction right on the beach. We just ended up driving to hanalei bay which was a lot easier and worth the drive. Over all, it is a beautiful area and the unit was wonderful as well. Will stay again.

The Vrbo listing did not do justice to this beautiful place. All the staff at the resort were very friendly and made sure you felt welcome. The views were spectacular the grounds were beautiful and well kept. Can’t wait to return

If you are looking for a quite relaxing do it yourself getaway, this is the place for you. The resort amenities were great (especially the pool) and the staff could not be nicer. There was ample shopping and restaurants just off the property or in Hanalei. Finally, the balcony view is amazing and there is not better way to wake up every morning than with a cup of Kona coffee and that view.

This was the most beautiful property we have stayed at. The view is amazing and the condo is spacious and clean. The beach and pool and tennis courts were lovely. I think my favorite part was watching the sunsets while sitting on the porch. I highly recommend spending the extra money to stay here!

We had a wonderful experience in 4222. Very spacious, comfortable bed, nice kitchen equipped with everything we needed. The view is spectacular - enjoying morning coffee on the balcony was a treat. Loved watching the birds and weather move across the mountains and Hanalei Bay. It’s an easy walk down to the beach (or the resort staff will give you a ride down or up in a golf cart), which is fun to explore and has great views of surfers on Hanalei Bay. Maryam was very responsive and helpful as we were planning our trip. We really appreciated that the condo was also stocked with coolers, beach chairs, tennis rackets etc to borrow. Everything was sparkly clean. We can’t wait to return!

Beautiful unit with a great view in a wonderful resort! My only negative comments (and they are to the overall resort owners), I would like to stair towers to have motion detector lights instead of keeping them on all night (prohibits dark sky), and the gas carts are loud and noisy when they drive (electric would be so much quieter). Other than those items, I think the place was great.

HBR is our favorite place to stay in Kauai, and this condo has one of the best views on the property. The host, Joan, is exceptionally responsible and helpful. Our stay was everything we had hoped for!

Joan’s unit is perfect and so is Hanalei Bay Resort! I spent a week here and spent the majority of the time on the large lanai - you can’t beat these views! HBR is quiet and peaceful, and everyone was friendly and helpful. The unit itself is perfect for whatever adventures you have planned for the week. Ceiling fans and open screen doors kept it cool the entire time, and I only turned the AC on once (which was very nice to have when I did want it). Joan was extremely helpful and quick to respond to my questions. Looking forward to returning!

To begin with, Joan is an absolute delight. She is easy to communicate with and is as sweet as pie! The unit is extremely spacious and very well equipped. The view is quite special and a the extra touches make this stay a no brained. Then on top of that, the resort is outstanding! Loved the pool, the hot tub, tennis courts, swim up bar, restaurant/bar, and the beach is superb! We traveled the island quite a bit and can definitely say that the North side is the best. The town of Hanalei is adorable, this resort is amazing and I can’t wait to go back!!!

A resort with many amenities and a clean, quiet, comfortable unit with access to a lot of equipment like snorkel gear, trekking poles, a yoga mat, and gear for the beach (umbrella, small cooler, chairs). Incredible ocean views from the bedroom, living room, and large lanai. Kitchen was well stocked with appliances lsrge and small, dishes, and cookware. We had a wonderful stay!

My husband and I were hoping to be able to relax and unwind on this trip and this property was beyond our hopes and expectations. You can hear the waves of the ocean and have a close view of lush green mountains from either inside the condo with sliding glass doors open or outside on a large lanai/balcony. We ate outside at the table on the lanai every morning and loved this option. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare and serve meals, which we originally didn't plan to do, but given the beauty right there, we decided it was much better to stay in and cook. There are barbecues at a nearby pool too. The condo is very clean, comfortable and organized. We felt at home the moment we walked in. Many things are provided for guests to use. We can't say enough good things about our stay here and if we are able to return, we will definitely want to stay at this lovely condo.
