Our family of eight (6 adults and 2 young children) had a fun vacation at this property on Douglas Beach. The house is bright, roomy, comfortable and well appointed. The location provided easy access to the beach and other fun activities like the biking, boating, and visiting Saugatuck. Wish there were a crib and high hair for our 2 year old. We hope to return.

This house is a great example of what makes VRBO wonderful!! No detail was missed. Bob was super-friendly and quick to respond to a few questions we had. The private beach was amazing and the house offered incredible views from pretty much every room. The kitchen was perfectly-stocked for family dinners. A small detail but the linens were soooo nice (love that!!). My family had a lovely stay and hope to return!!

Everything about our stay went according to plan, from coordinated arrival to departure. The weather was lovely with mostly sunny days and warm water for swimming in Lake Michigan. Even the two brief rain storms were amazing for our California kids who never get to see lightning and never have enough rain. As grandparents to the clan, we appreciated our lower level retreat with closer access to the beach and the fabulous hot tub. Advice to future visitors, including us for next year, bring water shoes for the stones and boulders unseen off shore. We learned how to navigate out to the sandbar, and our feet toughened up. We were undaunted by the 96 steps, but this could be a challenge for some. Breaking up the stair runs gave you a chance to catch your breath and notice the ever-beautiful view. We all loved this cottage so much, that we reserved it for one week again next year!

This was our 3rd summer at The Pink House on Lake Michigan. We all, including our children and grandchildren look forward to the week at this beautiful home and private beach. We couldn’t ask for a better host who is so quick to respond to any questions. We feel so fortunate that he shares his beautiful home with us. Each year he has added to the resort like feel with so many beautiful amenities. This year the covered deck and the beautiful hot tub enhanced the already spectacular views. We will be back as Bob has truly made it an amazing place to make cherished memories with our family. We can’t thank him enough.

We stayed here with another family - four adults and four kids, ages 6-11. It was absolutely perfect! The house is gorgeous and the layout worked perfectly for two families - we had one couple in the main bedroom, one in the lower level bedroom, the three youngest kids in the bunk room, and the oldest girl in the last bedroom. The beach access was ideal and we loved the lake view hot tub on the cool evenings. Sunsets over the lake were picture perfect. It was a truly perfect getaway - thank you so much!

This home is beautifully decorated, very well stocked with high end amenities, and has many lovely features: Large deck and table, hot tub level, deck near water. Walking on the beach is fabulous. The kitchen is perhaps better stocked than mine! Plastic for outdoors and lovely dishes, glasses etc for indoors. Truly a lovely getaway celebrating with friends!

Stayed May 10-12 with group of friends. The house is in great location with perfect set up for our group. Loved the hot tub and the beach. We missed the Holland tulips by one week due to weather but got the Northern Lights and that was amazing. Will definitely visit again!

We stayed at this house for a winter getaway. It did not disappoint! The views are incredible, and in the 2nd floor primary room, we fell asleep and woke up to the sounds of the waves. The house has 3 full floors in which to spread out, with 4 bedrooms and lots of beds. The kitchen was well stocked, so cooking was easy. The area is picturesque; we walked the beach, around the neighborhood, and even to the nearby Woosah Outside Coffee store. We will definitely try to stay here again!!

What a beautiful place for a family get-away! It was the perfect set up for our family (three adult children and their spouses and two young ones, ages 3 and 1). We had a wonderful weekend with gorgeous sun sets and lovely walks on the beach.

Friends for over 50 years that we meet every year somewhere. This house in Douglas was the perfect spot. We loved the living room area for gathering and the deck for Happy Hour. We were able to enjoy Lake Michigan from the house as well as down by the beach. Perfect spot. Thank you.

Once again we gathered all our children and grandchildren at your beautiful home on Lake Michigan. We loved our stay so much the previous year that we decided unanimously to come back. The home is in such wonderful proximity to all that Michigan offers. Steps down to the beach where so many memories were made, walks to Outside Coffee and The Root Beer Barrel. And visits to Saugatuck and Holland were enjoyed by all. The sunsets were breathtaking from the 3 decks . When we arrived we noticed the air conditioner wasn’t keeping up with the higher temperatures that day. Even though it was a weekend, the problem was promptly taken care of . We truly appreciated the quick response. We have already booked our family time for next summer!

This is a wonderful cottage on the beach in a great location. We walked and biked into Douglas and Saugatuck. The beach is beautiful, and the house is very comfortable, nicely decorated, and fully stocked with everything you need. Highly recommend!

Our vacation was a magical family reunion. The house was perfect for our needs - beautifully designed and decorated, with many amenities that made it both very comfortable and family friendly.
We visited slightly preseason, and had the beach practically to ourselves! The sunsets were stunning, the tree canopy majestic. We walked almost daily to a nearby outdoor coffee shop, just past a small bird sanctuary.
The hosts were extremely helpful and responsive. We felt very fortunate that they were willing to share their much loved home with us.

The property was everything we hoped it would be, and even more so! Lots of rooms with comfy beds, a cozy gathering so save and large dining room table. The sunsets were gorgeous off the back deck.

Every thing about our stay was magical. The property was in pristine condition - exceptionally clean and cozy. Prompt responses to all questions before we arrived. Comfortable beds, beautiful views, yummy snacks and coffee provided, HEAPS of games and puzzles that thrilled my teen, a fully stocked kitchen and showers with essentials and fluffy linens provided. We enjoyed an almost full moon perfectly positioned and reflected over the water, and even the sunrises were beautiful in cotton candy colors over the lake. We hope to return as soon as possible!

We had a beautiful weekend at the Pink House! Just walking in, everything was what we expected and more! The kitchen had EVERYTHING you could need/want, even kids plates and utensils. The beds were wonderful, the entire living space was cozy and easy to live in for a weekend. Not to mention the views from the house were spectacular!
Our hosts were fantastic! Even the weeks before our trip, Bob was easy to get a hold of for any questions and was very accommodating!
Just a gem of a place all around! We highly recommend this home!

This house was amazing! The views were spectacular. I can’t say enough good things about this home. It was very clean and decorated beautifully. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. The bathrooms were also fully stocked with full size shampoo and conditioner. Beds and bedding were all very comfortable and there were plenty of towels for everyone. We went in February but actually had pretty great weather. Location can’t be beat. Minutes to downtown Saugatuck and a short car ride to South Haven and St. Joe’s and Holland. Would love to come back when it’s warmer because the beach was amazing! Thank you for a memorable family vacation.

We loved our short stay at the pink house! It was incredibly clean and obviously very well maintained. We rent properties in Saugatuck/Douglas every year with our families and this was our favorite. The view of the water is incredible and the house is appointed with everything you might need. We had great communication with our host and we would love to stay again.

Beautiful home with sunset views. Everything that was advertised. It was the wrong time of the year to enjoy the water, but the beach walks were perfect. We returned to the cozy fireplace to warm up before game night at the 10 person table. Plenty of room for our family which included teens, young adults and some of us not so young. Kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals and the heat floors downstairs was a nice touch.

Perfect in EVERY WAY!!!!...This house has it all!! We have used VRBO the last few times we have stayed in Michigan and this house is by far one of our favorites! Everything was just perfect. From the kitchen stocked with absolutely everything you could need, nice cookware and appliances...down to the bedrooms and bathrooms cozy and comfy with excellent bedding and towels. Loved the large selection of puzzles and the use of the bikes to take a short ride in the the evenings...area is peaceful and quaint. Of course.... the real gem of this place is the lake. Views are just amazing.... and sunsets absolutely lovely. No detail has been missed. We truly enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back in the future. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful home with us.

This lovely home is beautiful, spacious and richly appointed. Perched on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan, the home’s decks offer dramatic views of the ever-changing water, waves and sky. We very much enjoyed our stay here and will return.

We stayed here for a girls weekend and it was just what we needed. The house is gorgeous and right on the beach with plenty of space for guests to have quiet if they need it and friend time if they need that. Bob and the others who help take care of the house quickly responded to a small glitch with a screen door and easily resolved the issue. Everyone really enjoyed their stay and we're hoping to go back soon!

Beautiful Stay for our Family
We had three generations at your beautiful home on Lake Michigan. Everything was so perfect, and we really enjoyed our stay. We all loved the beautiful views, the beach, kayaking and playing in the sand, and walks along the beach. We walked to the Douglas Root Beer Barrel for sundaes and root beer floats, enjoying the bike path along the way. The new Outside Coffee shop was a daily visit, and the use of the two bikes was fantastic. Since we ate many meals together at the house, the lovely, well-stocked kitchen was very much appreciated, too. It was the perfect getaway for our family, and we enjoyed our time together. We can't thank you enough for all the wonderful amenities your home offered. You were so quick to respond to any and all of our questions. We have already booked The Pink House for next summer! We can't wait! Our sincere thanks for a wonderful week!

Our entire family loved his this beautiful, well-appointed, and well-stocked house! The location can't be beat, with a lovely beach and sunsets from the multi-level decks framed by towering oak trees. From beach chairs and towels to a complete spice drawer, the friendly owner has thought of everything to make your vacation relaxing and memorable.

quiet getaway with fabulous views
Perfect spot for our family trip - even a spot to bring grandparents along (great downstairs guest suite). Weather in June is always iffy - we managed to face a cold front and still it was spectacular. beautiful house with everything you could need - and a heated outdoor shower.

Look no further-you’ve found the perfect place! Just stayed with extended family and had a wonderful experience; easy, contact free check, an immaculate house, communicative owner, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen and easy access to a beautiful beach, all in an lovely neighborhood close to restaurants, markets and antiquing.
We rent often and this home really set the bar! Layout worked particularly well as the lower level with bedroom, sitting and bar area, bath and access to the deck was perfect for the grandparents to have a quiet, separate space. Games and puzzles kept the littles entertained in the living room while adults enjoyed a fire and the sound of waves. Will be back!
